I think I will sit this one out but shaving off the side vents and redesigning the still yonic looking front vents looks much nicer.
I reckon about 50% of Ruroc's manufacturing output is into furnishing youtubers with promo samples.

And probably the entirety of their marketing budget, since you never see them for sale anywhere else. It's the worst god damn helmet I have ever worn.

I've had two Atlas 4.0s and I love them. The only sad part is now Id have to buy all new visors and shockwave for a new helmet
Definitely like the design of Ruroc helmets. I would probably consider one if they had a modular helmet that I liked.

Here in the UK Ruroc was touring the managed to attend the meet at Sykes Harley-Davidson in Lewes southeast England, see the EOX Gloss carbon and oh boy its insane I want it.
Heard about this today at a bike show here in the UK, the two brothers racing stunt team were putting on a show and shouted out Ruroc and mentioned a new helmet coming. (Side note, also met Archie and had a quick chat. Nice fella)

I kinda like it! I've always meant to buy a Ruroc, but just a little out of the budget.
They're not worth it. Prolly really safe, but the quality and finish of their helmets is laughable. I returned two of the Atlas 4.0 helmets and gave up. Love the look of their helmets but once you get it in hand it feels like a $150 helmet 😢
It looks good hope they make a modular helmet in the future that would be so cool.
Love the channel but really dislike your sponsorship with Ruroc. There is blatant evidence out there that showed ruroc was giving influencers better versions of helmets that the public couldn’t buy, as well as using people’s reviews without permission. Versioning their helmets when they already have the improvements ready just to grab more cash from the consumers. As much as you say you appreciate the community who supports you, you then support a company that is about as shady as they come and outright under delivers to the community who supports you. :/
I have been a very big critic of Ruroc and own 3 of them. Yes, marketing is good and delivery has been not so great. They for sure should be a bit better than they are at the crazy price point however they are very good helmets overall. My 4.0 is a very good helmet however it has a huge flaw IMO which is the giant gap between the visor and the helmet at the top. Also the magnet holding mechanism for the sub par Harmon Shockwave unit is garbage. I have a SHOEI that I like but if I had to pick I would wear the 4.0 every time. I also have the 2.0 which has a lot more issues than the 4.0 but overall is still a very good helmet. My wife has the 4.0. While I will 100% never pre order or order at launch with Ruroc again I will probably end up with another one. The Cardo addition on this EXO one has me interested though I already dont like where it attaches.
Ruroc saved my life so idk say what u want don't get me wrong the helmet is great and need some improvements but there is no doubt it saved my life so u do u and believe the internet we are all so screwed
There's a reason for the name of the new helmet - it's not just a name, it's a symbol. Ruroc says they've learned from their mistakes - which, admittedly, were many - and this, the Eox, symbolizes the rebirth, or rather the birth, of a new Ruroc, as a company altogether. Nothing wrong with giving them a second chance, in my opinion.

If they learned from their mistakes, they’d be giving anyone who purchased a helmet prior to this release a promo code to get the new helmet for like 80% off, or hell even free. But more than that, they should publicly eat crow and not only admit everything they did but apologize for it as well.
I wonder if they stepped up the quality control. I've had to super glue the rubber lining on the bottom of mine several times. AND i hope they fixed their sizing chart. Mine's too small... never wear it. I also hope this one doesn't rub the wearers nose like the Atlas.
How does it feel to take it on & off in comparison to the Atlas 4? This was my main issue with Atlas 4, it was very comfortable when it was ON, probably one of the most comfortable helmets I ever had.. however, putting on and off was a pain in the ... literally my ears were painful at some stage, and I know it was a common problem, as I wasn't the only one.
After a hour your cheeks will feel like you’ve been in a fight with the hulk.

@@Tazerect it has cardo mesh in the device and they are also having it mount on the side of the helmet but with an electrical connection now instead of a conventional plug it doesn’t look like it will be as fail proof which is why I’m hesitant on the eox I ultimately decided to get the 4.0 track

I actually prefer the look of the Atlas 4 with the side vents I've got. the comms on the side needed to happen though. it's incredibly awkward trying to find the buttons on the back
Awesome video Block… not sure why but to me the audio sounded a little bit off.
Cant believe they kept the fidlock - hate it! Did they fix the visor seal? Does the chin vent actually work (block air when closed) this time? Still too heavy for a carbon helmet IMO.
It would be cool for helmets to have photochromatic visors come standard.
But then how would they rob you for an extra 200 bucks?

It may just be me, but it seems like you can be heard better in that helmet when you are talking. Definitely no wind noise even with your vents open on the helmet

I had bought a nebula - Atlas 4.0 and the quality was nice at first but after putting some miles on it, the helmet started to fall apart. I just cut my losses and purchase a carbon Mod Bandit. So much better.
I still wear my Nebula daily, no issues. I was more irritated in how they portray it online vs what it looks like in person. Looks very Blue online but is very purple in person regardless of light.

They don't make a long oval, so it's a no-go, sorry Ruroc. Stickin with my Arai. Of all the brands, Arai and the 'old' Shark RSI (2010 'ish) are the only helmets that seem to work for me.
Just got my atlas 4.0 love it. Fits and feels great was very skeptical because the reviews are all over the place I'm glad I bought it and took the chance
I have the 2.0 and 4.0. Skipped the 3.0 due to delay in shipment and just waited out the 4.0 until it was actually in stock. Good helmets overall. Hopefully the Cardo addition makes the audio better. The Shockwave and Harmon version were junk.
I have the atlas love the helmet but way to much wind noise, how’s the wind noise on the EOX

In my experience its better to wait a bit with Ruroc stuff. The launch is always a shit show with over promising and under delivering. Be it with delays or product defects , just look at every launch from the beginning and they all suffer from the same issues.
I was always told to start with the front of your head, not the back when inserting your head.
I have an Arai with a few vents and my visor still fogs up. Can I use those anti fog wipes on the visor?
Arai offers the pinlock system for their helmets/shields

Does it still leak at the top of visor like the 4.0? Without the addition of the piece made for the track version the 4.0 has a giant opening between the visor and the helmet.

Ruroc won't release any real info until 4/24... Hopefully they have additional sizes! I run their largest size in the Atlas and its still just too tight for rides longer than 20-30mins. I've basically had to go back to my old Variant.

My only question is, what are the safety ratings?
When shopping for a helmet i go with snell, ece and dot, or at least 2 of the 3.
The new EOX is rated ECE 22.06 and DOT. The Atlas 4.0 has similar ratings, and their track version is rated ACU Gold 👍🏼

If you want something quiet you get something heavier (with more sound deadening).

I ordered the Star Wars EOX Large one and the thing looks SO BIG. Almost comically so. But it's tight. Did you find the same with yours?
I'm not sure if I send back for Medium that it would even get on my head since the cushions inside the large were so tight. The helmet just felt too big and a lot of empty space in the Large. Cushions were crushing my cheeks though.

The hanging visor was already a thing on the 4.0 cause it’s hanging on the upper seal (got worse with the pinlock)

I just put the Atlas and RPHA on a weight.
Ruroc Atlas 4.0 ML 1930 grams
HJC RPHA11 M 1420 grams (even my 70 with sunshade comes up to 1550 grams)
And the HJC isn’t even the light carbon one.
So even Ruroc sent out again different stuff for reviews or you guys just compare with companies like HJC, Arai, Shoei 🤷♂️
The Atlas doesn’t feel that heavy on the head but it’s just wrong to say rurocs are lightweight if even HJC flip helmets are 5% lighter 😜

I’ve have cheaper and more expensive helmets including the 4.0, and honestly I wouldn’t buy another one unless the price came down. They’re nice but not anywhere close to $500 nice.

Not to be that guy but as a Greek viewer, if it is supposed to be named after the goddess. Not only are you still pronouncing it wrong but it's spelled wrong too. Pronounced Eōs, it would still have an "s" at the end instead of the Greek letter "ς". Sorry but there's so many woulds that are so brutally missed pronounced, not that this one is. It's the spelling that got me this time, but I try to help people out when I can.

I guess after charging riders to beta test the Atlas four times, each time failing, it was time to change the name to EOX because the Atlas name has been tarnished.

Ruroc is one of the most unsafe helmet to you use!
It’s ECE 22.06 rated, like many other helmets such as AGV, Simpson, Biltwell, Shoei and many many more.
No doubt their design is nice but terrible quality, I had altas 4.0 carbon, their lining/trimming & padding are so poorly secured to the helmet, you will get frustrated with it. I sweared this is my last helmet from ruroc. I saw most of the comments either from their marketing or internal staff, a lot dramas there. Shoei and Arai are much better quality, ruroc still workmanship a mile away from them. Lastly their customer service is sxxk, such a shame. That’s my honest opinion/review from my own paid ruroc helmet.
Ruroc is trash not sure why blockhead continues to do videos for them 🤦♂️ creators got better product while the consumer got trash

More junk from Ruroc. There are already NON-PAID riders that are talking about how cheaply it is and how disappointed they are. Sure they look cool, but when your seals fall off after the first ride and the wind noise is louder than a $40 Amazon helmet, is it really worth the price of a Ruroc, simply because of how they look? They gave the Atlas four tries and couldn't get it right, so now they just changed the name, hoping to fool people that somehow they became a high end helmet manufacturer. For the price, Get a Aria or Shoei and leave Ruroc to the PAID CZcamsrs that are obligated to promote the product to make money. Still not convinced? Start watching reviews of REAL riders that PAID for a Ruroc helmet and have been highly disappointed. Guys like BLOCK and Chase and PAID and sponsored by Ruroc. You can't trust their reviews.

People gotta stop listening to these paid sponsored CZcams channels. From what I hear, Ruroc is an absolutely garbage helmet with poor build quality and is down right dangerous in the event of a crash. I wanted one for quite some time but after seeing what some people said it sounds like the company is garbage and so is their product. Stop giving into blatant lies and deceit.
