I know you reached ep 90 so you know why conan used Sonoko. In case you are wondering why he use sonoko before mountain case, these are continuity error. At lot of earlier cases has these errors because they only adapt the cases they liked, changed it the way they wanted. They adapted other cases after they realized some cases they skipped are important.
They didnt adapt a scene where Conan makes the girl drink milk as first aid for the poison, i think its a shame cuz its a useful thing to learn (chemistry) ive learned lots thru this show
