    I started labouring for 2 bricklayers.no forklift it was hard things have moved for the better.

    Love the videos Izzy, any chance of showing drainage layout videos before or after foundation for extension for rain water or sewer one,keep the videos coming I’ve learnt a lot with the clear explaining

      Cheers Bobby! If I come across a drawing with the drainage layout on it, I'll go over it. However most of the time all that is done before I turn up and start slamming those bricks in 😉

    Smashed it boys , tidy as ever and used a proper trowel .
    I’ve retired the ox and started my marshalltown 11” Philly duracork today , kindly given to us by Rodian , it’s a beaut 😍🧱👍🏽

      @@IzzytheBricky . It’s nice , had a day on it and love it , Al swung the 10” London leather handle trowel round a bit and was well impressed.
      We gave away an 11 “ Philly Rose and an Estwing brick hammer with imex lines to our 2 giveaway winners .
      I was watching Rodian today using the MT I’ve now got ….. very proud 🤩🤩🧱👍🏽

    Again, I'm an older trowel but I learnt something. Neat trick using the butt of your trowel to gauge the cut ups. Stealing that.

      I know the spacing method, i normally use a 20mm wedge but never knew the cap on the Marshalltown trick. I'll give that a go! As you mentioned about the cuts it should always be done right mate. why ruin the whole project with untidy finishing because its not as visible, just laziness! Tidy work as always pal 👍

    Izzy as you know your videos are shown all over the world because of You Tube reach. However using a 4" block as structural roof support is not allowed in most countries. Area's of high wind such as Florida the roofs would all come down. The roofs need something solid to be attached to. Most people use 6-8" block with concrete. It is a building code requirement most everywhere.

    There must be a LARGE air space gap in-between the face of the insulation and the OUTER wall inside the cavity-wall ; this includes an air space gap in between the face of the insulation and the cavity-wall-tie drip point which points downwards in the centre of the cavity.
    Ask N.V.Q. BRICKWORK teachers for PROOF of this !

    great a always mate, you mentioned you you knocked off the top course of bricks because the sofit would fit, did you mean the rafters?

      Hiya buddy, both really, the brickwork would have been too high for the rafters and also the soffit 👍 good spot buddy 🙂

      Yea I'm not a fan of it either really mate, but..just one of them. If they don't like it, since I've done the cuts nice they can always use the cement board up the gable 💪👌
