This could've been a fantastic horror themed spiderman game telling a standalone story especially with the design of a lot of the enemies and the fact that you could rip wolverine in half.
I still think that this is a really good game I just feel it would've left a bigger impact had it gone further with its darker moments and the apocalyptic side
well that 16 month development cycle wasn't enough for SHABA to get their vision fully intact as there was a concept art of a pod crushing someone with its teeth and there was a pool of blood on the pods teeth (although they probably still could've made it like that even with a very short development cycle).... WoS is still the darkest spiderman game
but there are still horrifying things in the game like with how the environmental story-telling shows the symbiote going inside the buildings rooftop vents and etc.
Seeing Venom so helpless and vulnerable as the vessel for Venomzilla, as the embodiment of the symbiote invasion of Earth, was really unsettling. This game had fantastic writing, and Keith Szarabajka's phenomenal voice work as Venom really helped cement it.

Honestly this is my favorite version of symbiotes I always thought of them just consuming their foe for one second and taking them out as a servant and it spreads like a wild fire all over the city this game is pretty much that
Everyone says the voice acting is bad but the cutscene where Peter tries to appeal to Eddie in the QTE is actually pretty well done
the whole voice acting is nowhere near bad.... sometimes the public opinion gets out of hand and ppls minds can't formulate their own opinion... WoS spidey perfectly captures the nerdy peter for the red suit while also giving a more darker tone to him even with his default voice when he doesn't sound whiny which is why i think ppl call WoS VA bad even though hes nowhere near bad and its the same for the rest of VAs.... however more and more ppl are actually saying the rest of VAs in the game aren't bad and its just Spidey that is bad which isn't true

So never. Venom has never been this super evil character, literally the entire reason Carnage was made was because venoms writer was getting sick and tired of people referring to venom as this evil monster

When I was a kid I played this SO MUCH when it came out. And I became so incredibly good at the game that I KNEW I was the best in the world at this game. Even now I know I was the best back then.
Thats weird because I thought the same thing aswell. This was the first game I ever got and I play it even till this day. I think I got it in 2009 or 2008 but I was so good at the game, that when I got to the boss like my 12th time in kindergarten, a friend I had over didn't think I could defeat him. So I proved him wrong and his reaction was "oh." I also have proof that I was good at the game because back then , apparently people had a tough time with timing the web strike (aka ign guy) that in 2010 i made a video when I was like 6 or 7 doing it flawlessly.

@@annoyingcat5328 oh its on a different channel from long ago. Back in the old youtube days. I didn't even record it how any other gaming youtuber did it. I actually had my dad hold the phone recording at the TV for 10 minutes straight.

This bossfight was perfect BUT... it's a bit too easy... Honestly it should've been much much much harder. Maybe should've added things like Venom grabbing you with tentacles and smashing you against the floor 10 times removing half of your health, or also have him use his fists to grab you, squish you, or punch you all the way back. Or maybe trying to crush you with his jaws but you have to spam B to keep pushing his jaws from closing on you or else he eats you draining your health for like 5 seconds and then spitting you out.

@@TheChillStart Venom got this large through merging a massive amount of the symbiotes it created into itself.
As for Venom gaining more control… I don’t think that was ever explored beyond “We do not listen to Brock.” Which probably means the symbiote’s corruption became too much for Eddie to handle.

It's not whole game, it's just a boss fight
This is the ending of the game Spider-Man Web of Shadows. Likely won't be able to find it for cheap if you want a console version, and any reputable online sellers for PC like Steam don't sell it so outside of illegal downloads you can't.

The scene seems displaced and I thought that something was missing (like a optional mission or whatever), that otherwise would play a diferent ending.
@@mafiorese Yeah pretty sure this point would've been the third and final Venom boss fight, as in fighting Venom tethered to the megasymbiote one-on-one and knock some sense into him instead of it all happening in the penultimate cutscene
@@mafioresewell the game was pretty incomplete to be honest. What we got was only made in a year and a half from the Spider-Man 3 game engine.
