I remember I use to always play this over & over again as a kid. They need to bring it back to Xbox one for us to play since we don’t have Spider-Man games. We need this Spider-Man game, web of shadows, & shattered dimensions.
I like how this game is essentially Venom's journey to becoming more like the character we know him as. In his initial arc, Venom was more of a raging animal that could barely utilize a host without trying to eat them. Here, Brock finally gains control of the suit and undergoes a power high as he decides to kill Trask. This was the fight scene where he truly became Venom.

It's because the venom symbiote isn't an alien in the ultimate universe where this game takes place. It's more of a parasite that doesn't have its own mind unlike the 616 universe.
Venom never wanted to kill Spider-Man, he just needed the remnants of the Venom Suit that were in Spider-Man’s DNA, but I think the reason that Spider-Man beat him this time was because despite Venom being at full strength, Spider-Man was no longer being hurt by his spider sense when he got close to Venom for too long, Venom had no upper hand that Spider-Man couldn’t overcome, that’s why Venom lost, he beat Spider-Man at the museum but Sable’s forces stepped in, he beat Venom outside of Trask industries out of sheer luck, but this battle had Venom at a disadvantage Also 6:10
I think it was also because Venom strictly focused on killing Trask and only fought Spider-Man as if he were a nuisance that needed to be dealt with. He only ever knocked him aside before going right back to trying to kill Trask.

Theory: Something I find very interesting is Trask taking an interest with he Black Suit, they don't exactly suggest this in the game. But if you start to think about what the black suit was intended for, it make sense why Trask would want it. It's no secret that Trask is the one who creates the Sentinels to combat the X-Men and other mutants. The Suit was specifically designed to tamper with a person's genes, now Richard Parker and Edward Brock Sr. intended to wipe out cancer, but what if Trask wanted to use it to wipe out the X-Gene in mutants. Now yes, Trask looked to have wanted to also use it as a one man army war machine, but I don't see why he wouldn't want it to be both. What do you all think?
While I'm used to Venom being an alien parasite, the way the Ultimate comics turned him into a lab experiment by Peter and Eddie's father's what was originally meant to be a cure for cancer wasn't a bad idea of a change

Would be nice to see it remade, it truly is a great game. Probably in the top 5 I've ever played, and I'm serious right now. I played a lot of videogames, from games on PS2 up to PS4. Decided to replay this game after a few years, and I enjoyed it a lot. In fact, I think it doesn't need any visual change at all. Maybe sharpen the visuals more, but that's about it. The game ran smoothly and I had full control over what I was doing all the time.

This game was actually my introduction to Venom and was a huge fan of him ever since. I had to get all the merchandise for the upcoming Spider-Man 3 that had his face on it. I was even scared to go to the theaters alone as a kid because I thought Venom would magically jump out the screen and kill everyone. (By the time it came to DVD, I hated the way he was portrayed.) But then I was really disappointed in the 2018 movie on making Venom a complete comic relief. I'm aware that's who he was originally in the 90s, but I'm more keen to the voracious body horror version of Venom who was basically portrayed as an inhuman monster.
The roars, the snarls, the growling, the voice acting, this venom was such a demon whoever did the acting needs to come back as venom, Tony Todd for insomniacs has perfect the voice but this is second best out of all iterations this is truly Venom

This game is incredible It marked the childhood of many Including mine,it's a shame there wasn't a sequel with the origin and death of Spider-Man with the Sinister Six and others villains and speaking of which,several Villains that would appear in this game But they were cut from the final version They are: The Lizard We see in the game's trailer his laboratory and Doctor Curt Connors himself within the game but it was not used as well as Aunt May and exploring the daily bugle and Peter's house from the inside All of this was cut from the final version Scorpion A reference said by Spiderman himself citing the villain's name Black cat Her name is in the game files but she was cut The Kingpin There's his tower in the game And some references to it The Enforcers A speech from the spider about having faced them and even the covers of the comics that are in the game have them there Vulture Who is in the game working for trask and making a reference The Hobglobin Who in the Ultimate universe is Harry Osborn The Chameleon brothers Kraven the Hunter What's in the game on the city's signs and letters Morbius the vampire There is also a reference/Easter egg in this game The Sandman That has an Easter egg in it in the beetle's mission That bottle he picks up Mysterio Which was quoted and mentioned by Peter And finally Doctor octopus A reference spoken by himself In one of Spider's phrases It's really a shame that these villains weren't included and used in this game and there wasn't even a sequel with all of them and we never will 🥺😔 like and Bye!
The easiest way to beat this is to beat the sh*t out of venom while he hits the helicopter, then jump away when he tries to attack you, and as soon as he jumps towards you, jump back towards the helicopter and he will start hitting the helicopter again. Every time. Rise and repeat. This way he never even gets a chance to attack you
I don’t know why but people seem to either forget or miss the fact that it was Edward Brock Sr. who became venom and caused the plane crash and likely ate Eddie’s mother and Peter’s father.
I felt very restricted in combat on this level, I could enjoy airborne attacks or anything, just simply attacking waiting for him to approach you then attack again etc.
Bro this game is fucking amazing. The only issue I have with it is that the story is too short. I still play it to this day emulated on my PC. Such a classic.
I just love how after getting knocked down, venom felt the need to roar unnecessarily before trying to get another attack in, only to get immediately clobbered for blowing what could have been an easy attack.
when eddie (or venom because i actually don't know) says "I have absolutely total control!" Then says "I have a score to settle..." its replied with ?Eddie's voice? saying "Which way do you figure?" Is this Eddie talking to Venom and Venom actually having total control, or Eddie having total control? Because if Eddie is in total control why is he talking to himself and replying to his own sayings? This part always confused me.
I remember the first time playing Ultimate Spider-Man and, with the exception of the first encounter, all the bosses against Venom were frustrating. The second and third encounters had this dumb mechanic when Spider-Man couldn't stay too close to Venom, otherwise his head would start to hurt, causing him to get stunned, causing him to be vulnerable during Venom's onslaught. The final encounter thankfully didn't have those mechanics, but there have a bit of a time limit, as Venom would hit the helicopter that Bolivar Trask was in, causing it to get closer and closer to the edge, until it would fall, causing Trask's death. And I wouldn't be much of a problem, if Venom didn't have so much health.

God I remember playing this game when I was young. This version of venom got me scared and like the most. They really show how scary venom can be

I don’t remember a whole lot about this game but I do remember this final boss being such a bitch to beat. This was imo the hardest boss.
This game is incredible It marked the childhood of many Including mine,it's a shame there wasn't a sequel with the origin and death of Spider-Man with the Sinister Six and others villains and speaking of which,several Villains that would appear in this game But they were cut from the final version They are:
The Lizard We see in the game's trailer his laboratory and Doctor Curt Connors himself within the game but it was not used as well as Aunt May and exploring the daily bugle and Peter's house from the inside All of this was cut from the final version
Scorpion A reference said by Spiderman himself citing the villain's name
Black cat Her name is in the game files but she was cut
The Kingpin There's his tower in the game And some references to it
The Enforcers A speech from the spider about having faced them and even the covers of the comics that are in the game have them there
Vulture Who is in the game working for trask and making a reference
The Hobglobin Who in the Ultimate universe is Harry Osborn
The Chameleon brothers
Kraven the Hunter What's in the game on the city's signs and letters
Morbius the vampire There is also a reference/Easter egg in this game
The Sandman That has an Easter egg in it in the beetle's mission That bottle he picks up
Mysterio Which was quoted and mentioned by Peter
And finally Doctor octopus A reference spoken by himself In one of Spider's phrases
It's really a shame that these villains weren't included and used in this game and there wasn't even a sequel with all of them and we never will 🥺😔 like and Bye!

Just beat the game after all these years… 2005 seems like a lifetime ago but was the best moments back then
The easiest way to beat this is to beat the sh*t out of venom while he hits the helicopter, then jump away when he tries to attack you, and as soon as he jumps towards you, jump back towards the helicopter and he will start hitting the helicopter again. Every time. Rise and repeat. This way he never even gets a chance to attack you
I don’t know why but people seem to either forget or miss the fact that it was Edward Brock Sr. who became venom and caused the plane crash and likely ate Eddie’s mother and Peter’s father.
This Spider-Man game is so awesome. I ended this and the others from Playstation 2. Until Playstation one.

I felt very restricted in combat on this level, I could enjoy airborne attacks or anything, just simply attacking waiting for him to approach you then attack again etc.

Bro this game is fucking amazing. The only issue I have with it is that the story is too short. I still play it to this day emulated on my PC. Such a classic.

I just love how after getting knocked down, venom felt the need to roar unnecessarily before trying to get another attack in, only to get immediately clobbered for blowing what could have been an easy attack.

when eddie (or venom because i actually don't know) says "I have absolutely total control!" Then says "I have a score to settle..." its replied with ?Eddie's voice? saying "Which way do you figure?"
Is this Eddie talking to Venom and Venom actually having total control, or Eddie having total control? Because if Eddie is in total control why is he talking to himself and replying to his own sayings? This part always confused me.

Ultimate Peter Parker is built different he’s the only spiderman I’ve seen that knocked out venom with raw physical strength
Yeah no anti-venom suit, girlfriend, or miles morales. Just peter in his original suit beating up venom
I remember the first time playing Ultimate Spider-Man and, with the exception of the first encounter, all the bosses against Venom were frustrating. The second and third encounters had this dumb mechanic when Spider-Man couldn't stay too close to Venom, otherwise his head would start to hurt, causing him to get stunned, causing him to be vulnerable during Venom's onslaught. The final encounter thankfully didn't have those mechanics, but there have a bit of a time limit, as Venom would hit the helicopter that Bolivar Trask was in, causing it to get closer and closer to the edge, until it would fall, causing Trask's death.
And I wouldn't be much of a problem, if Venom didn't have so much health.
