Stephen Byrne they did give the Avatar a voice in a way, only with grunts and moans. From both the male and female actors that do it. The reason I guess why we never voice them is I guess would be complicated, or if they wanted the Avatar Character to have dialogue they would have to him/or her speech option boxes to chose what to say like in the Telltale games. i feel like sega did the right thing when they didnt add a voice they wanted to make the character so people would see them selves in it and the voice would kinda ruin it even if they did add the voice they would have to get actors for ALL voice types: boy, girl, man, women etc and after that they would have needed to add all of that for diffrent races so they will have to pay at least 20 actors to say a few lines. which will be extremly expensive. and they will need to do all that so the player feels like he is in the game. so yea i think just not adding a voice to him was a good thing
I think Sega should have gave the avatar dialogue too, put the voice selection to more use. I also think your voice fits this voice type^^ I included the avatar dialogue voice idea into a review I made for Sonic Forces.
I see a reason for the OC or Avatar's severe voice limits. It is not to interfere with the player's interpretation of the character (just like Link from The Legend Of Zelda).

Makoto Yuki is apathetic to a fault and has to grow beyond it. Yu Narukami may be the most traditionally silent of the modern trio, but since his debut everyone has a solid idea of who he is. On the opposite end of the scale is Ren Amamiya who has the most lines of the three and everyone knows what his deal is right from the off.
The biggest complaint is that it doesn't really feel like a mainline Sonic game. But, to list all the issues people have stated: 1. Infinite is so edgy, he makes Mephiles the Dark look like Cream the Rabbit. Especially with his only reason for turning evil being that Shadow implied he was weak. 2. The Phantom Ruby is severely underutilized and not really explained. 3. The inclusion of Zavok was a weird choice, as Lost World wasn't really that well-liked either. 4. Tails' sudden cowardice seems completely out-of-character. 5. The retcon of Classic Sonic being from "another dimension" instead of the past as he was in Generations was greatly disliked, not to mention the fact that he appeared out of nowhere. 6. Super Sonic being a DLC as opposed to just a regular in-game mechanic was considered a huge let-down by the fans. 7. The Shadow DLC didn't really offer much aside from explaining poorly why Infinite became a villain. All in all, while the game was fun, it did have a lot of issues, and that's why a lot of people dislike it.

It's just as cheesy as the actual game dialogue - which takes a good amount of skill to replicate. Speaking of which, while I'm not really a fan of your voice, you do really great "woah!"s and "Uh oh!"s, OP.
But there are just a few things that bother me. For one, your Avatar is way too quippy and arrogant at the City stage. Considering the Rookie's there to rescue survivors, he treats his mission way too callously - as if it were a game, as if lives weren't at stake here. Also, the last sentence in the stage really undermine the poignancy of Espio's "Good work, everyone". The same problem repeats at Metropolis, considering Infinite is RIGHT THERE messing with his sense of reality. Since the cutscene afterwards shows the Rookie practically shitting his (metaphorical) pants, he should come across as less confused and more outright Terrified. Then, in the fight with Infinite proper, the Avatar mentions dying all of the sudden? Isn't this type of language too harsh for the game? Maybe I'm wrong, but the big wave forces suffer "casualties", Sonic was "gone" at the beginning, and Infinite threatens "for the fear and pain to end". I'm simply assuming here characters never say die in (this) Sonic. Still, don't let me discourage you! It's still great work. I love it. Keep it up.

If I give dubbing Forces a shot myself, upon that first Infinite fight with the Avatar I'd be attempting to radio Knuckles & Co then saying "Dead air. I'm gonna have to go with my instinct on this one."
The voice is a little off. But you tried and I respect that! The Dialogue you made is on point! Now I wish this was added in the game. Its clever, it's similar to what OC would say in these situations, and its so accurate. Great Job!
It would be extremely difficult, if not impossible, to give the avatar voice clips like this. You could probably change the noises they make when getting hurt, attacking etc. to actual voice clips, but other than that, nothing else can be done without drastically changing the games code, and that would be hard.
One idea I had would be inserting the lines into the music at some points, and extending the lines from the game itself in order to fit the lines in. Don't believe me that it can be done? Check out the *Mephiles over Infinite* mod for the game.

The voice is a little off. But you tried and I respect that! The Dialogue you made is on point! Now I wish this was added in the game. Its clever, it's similar to what OC would say in these situations, and its so accurate. Great Job!

It would be extremely difficult, if not impossible, to give the avatar voice clips like this. You could probably change the noises they make when getting hurt, attacking etc. to actual voice clips, but other than that, nothing else can be done without drastically changing the games code, and that would be hard.
One idea I had would be inserting the lines into the music at some points, and extending the lines from the game itself in order to fit the lines in.

It's actually even _easier_ if you use the Burst or Asteroid Wispon.
Obsidian Changeling I dunno Inplayed with the burst one. Gotta say part of the best stuff was the extra non cutscene lines that comment on all the robots as well as the constant running.
Obsidian Changeling really the only flaw is how confident you make the rookie sound when this samr character shakes like a leaf or needs rescue from sonic against a group of robots.
36 seconds, best time in that boss, burst wispon is perfect for it
