- I show you how to remove and replace a fuel filter on a Vauxhall 1.3 CDTI engine. This will be a similar process for 1.7 CDTI and some other Vauxhall engines.
Some of the tools you will need -
Fuel Clip Pliers - amzn.to/34dRcOE
Female Torx Sockets (E Sockets) amzn.to/34erV74 - Auta a dopravní prostředky
The tool to unscrew the plastic ring + an aid to clamp the housing are sold on a popular Site.

You see the the bottom of the filter casing there is two parts the skinny one with the twisty bit on the end and the bit in the centre that looks like there should be something screwd into it I have a 1.3 disel and it’s started leaking diselcoit of the bottom of it so I’ve bought a replacement but it’s still doing it should there be anything connected to the underneath of the filter housing

I have a combo 1.7 (2003 ref). I am trying to drain the water from the filter housing, but in order to do so i am trying to unclip the retaining clip on it. Do you have any idea where the retaining clips is on the fuel filter
How much fuel should be in the housing at rest?

Hi could you tell me what the electrical plug on the top of the filter actually does? I’ve got a starting problem just trying to eliminate things thanks
I think what you mean is the plug on the mass airflow sensor. Tells the computer how much air is coming in, so it can mix the fuel with it accordingly.
(As far as I know - I’m not an expert)

The fuel clip is not broken. Thats how they are.
sorry it's not clear on the video, but one of the plastic push in pieces that clip in and secure the pipe is broken off. It definitely is broken, there should be two tabs.
