Partition was the 2nd best thing which happened to India. First thing would have happened the total transfer of population. The purpose of partition became illogical BCZ the one wanted did not go and our politicians then were 'ab kya hi bole unke baare me'.

Anti-Hindu Gandhi pleaded to Muslims who supported Pakistan to stay in India. Because of Anti-Hindu Gandhi Muslim appeasement he stopped total transfer of population.

Why there is no public appreciation of Indian troops in British documentaries. They show Canadian Australian, New Zealanders, but not indian troops. There was uprising against Gandhiji by Nehru who could not wait to be PM. Gandhiji was marginalized and mentally exhausted. Thats why he went on day of his silence. His silence was declared as approval.....😊

I think petition was good Hindus but because of Anti-Hindu Gandhi Muslim appeasement he kept Muslims who supported Pakistan to stay in India

Only Bengal and Punjab were partitioned.
The major reason for India's partition was to weaken Bengal and Punjab.
If these 2 states had remained intact, the political landscape of united India would have been very different.
This is not only my view, but also the view of renowned historian Ayesha Jalal.
We have been led to believe that the root cause for India's partition was Hindu Muslim divide.
    This is not completely true.
Another reason why partition happened was Congress withdrawal from the 1946 cabinet mission plan.
As per this plan the British intended to leave India as a union of autonomous states where only few activities would be handled centrally.
This plan was accepted by both Congress and Muslim League but vehemently opposed by the business houses profiteering under centralized British rule.
As these business houses were the chief patrons of Congress, Congress had to withdraw its support to the cabinet mission plan.
Withdrawal of Congress from the cabinet mission plan, led to Jinnah's demand for Pakistan and partition of India.

Lots of incorrect facts like Madan lal Dhingra ne 1922 me Curzon ko goli mari thi .. no that was 1909 … Savarkar was given 50 years of kala pani but was realised after 14 years and not 28 years .. though he was in Ratnagiri in virtual house arrest for a while

Gandhi was a kaala angrez and his loyalty was towards the british throne. He deliberately delayed the independence of Bharat / India. He was recruiting soldiers to fight for the britishers and at the same time he was preaching non-violence nonsense to Hindus. He is responsible for the death of millions of Hindus with his non-violence nonsense. He was a hard core muslim appeaser and was always protecting them. He allowed the creation of Pakistan and Bangladesh (Direct Action Day) and begged g-hadis not to leave for Pakistan. He insisted that Pakistan received money from India even when Pakistan attacked India. Gandhi made sure that the policies of the british were continued through Nehru. Hindus are still paying the price for that.

What was even the point of partition. 3rd largest muslim population is in india. If we would have stayed united we would have had some more muslims but we wouldn't have lost so many lives and land. Even till today 1000s of soldiers and civilians have been killed because of partition
