I had him out in 26 minutes from the first push. Now with my second.... my water broke on its own and the while experience was traumatic and very painful. Water first broke around 1030am, he didn't show up till around 9pm. I had an epidural with both, just didn't use it much the second time because I thought I was good, till I wasn't 😳 So yes! Get the epidural and use it well! Don't try to tough it out if you're not sure if you can handle the craziness when baby does finally get I the birth canal. You can only get the meds from it once an hour. You click the button 20 times, but it only goes the one time😂 It was not a good time 🙈 Being induced mentally helped and prepared me for it, but somehow having a second one I was not ready😩 **sorry that was longer than anticipated 😂**
@krisneer9928 I had a similar experience with my last pregnancy. My water broke around 5 am. They induced me at 12 and he was born at 9:06 pm. My epidurals have never worked. I felt more comfortable laying on my side and burying my face into the pillow during contractions. I would go over all the different ways you can deal with pain with your doctor so you know what you can do. I wanted to get up and move, but couldn't since I had the epidural, but it wasn't even working. You'll be less afraid when you are informed.
I lost my first pregnancy at 22 weeks. I threw up during my labor with that one only. Unfortunately it was my birthday and had just eaten my dinner. I remember feeling hot at the beginning. During my last pregnancy, i remember shaking after it was all over. My husband was freaked out and thought something was wrong. But the nurse was just like oh thats normal!

During my first induction they made me fast for 8hrs prior, a rule i later learned is outdated, but while starving my husband would sneak me some snacks here and there, last one being some red gummy bears. I threw up in the middle of 3 hrs of pushing and my husband tried to take the pale away so the nurse wouldn’t see the gummy bear 😂 as if we’d get in trouble
That’s so sweet of him. He didn’t want the nurse to stress you about the gummy bears you’d have eaten 😂 it’s fine to eat during labor as long as you are upfront with your provider you have eaten - so they don’t intubate you in case of cesarean!
@@Asp47999 oh i know the rule is terribly outdated since that is SUCH a small chance of even happening. Second baby i was eating all the things. Turns out they said whoever told me to stop eating 8hrs prior to my induction shouldn’t have even said that. They said i could eat all i wanted until i got an epidural, THEN they preferred liquid diet. Second time around went much smoother lol
We just had the free labor class at the hospital last week and asked about snacking, the facilitator said to just please avoid anything red or purple because if you vomit anything that looks like it could have blood in it, that's a warning sign for them and they have to do testing on the vomit to check whether or not it's actually blood.
My first birth, had my water broken right before pushing. But for my 2nd and 3rd (homebirths) my water broke (exploded lmao) right as babes heads were coming out.
Yh I usually wouldn’t recommend them breaking your water cause sometimes they do it too early and the baby gets stuck and needs intervention (forceps/vacuum). Happened to my mum during my birth 💀💀
@@bridget6672my waters broke during crowning, and it hurt my labia so badly, like a balloon exploding right up against them. Obviously 😆 My midwives have told me over my two births that breaking waters might speed labor up by 30 minutes, but contractions are less painful with intact membranes.
The one question I always had but never got answered is: why the hospital and staff rush your labor and delivery so much? Even if your labor is naturally progressing well they still gave Pictocin... they told me other people needed the room I was in. Why the rush?
Everything in the medical field is about how much money they can make for the hospital. My husband was in the hospital for 2 months and his nurses would always bring multiples of things and leave them lying around the room. Like multiple rolls of tapes, multiples of the same supplies etc. The tape costs like $40 per roll and if you have insurance they do it to jack up the price they have pay out. I would know because I have many family and friends who work in hospitals lol That's why if you DONT have insurance they get you the fuck out because they know they'll never see that money. Medical bills don't affect your credit score and most people never pay them.
Is your water is broken you need to get your baby out if that baby is in there for too long and your water is broken and your in labor but the baby isn’t going anywhere there is a chance that your baby will have complications once delivered if that fluid( your water) isn’t there your baby needs to get out into the world to continue to get its nutrients
@@MrsMuffin11Honey it’s free in my country and most other countries. In fact it costs *them* more money to perform a c-section that’s why those of us who want elective ones get side eyed.
I've given birth twice with no epidural and I'm due in a few weeks and I'm still terrified of giving birth again for the fourth time I'm having anxiety over it even though I already know what to expect. Idk why this is happening honestly.
I'm 35 weeks with my 3rd and they say each delivery is different and sometimes subsequent births are more painful than the previous so I don't know what to expect exactly. I just want to trust my body that it knows what it's doing and I just gotta stay calm and push on.
@@pr3ciousara girl don’t worry too much, I’ve never heard of a 3rd birth that was worse than the first two but just trust your body and go with the flow! Sending happy quick deliveries y’all’s way ❤️
I'm having my first baby in two weeks and only slightly nervous, but I think that's only because I don't know how bad it's actually going to be 😅 I think I makes more sense to be nervous having already been through the process multiple times!!
My shakes were so bad from all the drugs and only pushing for 6 mins that I couldn’t physically hold my daughter for an hour and a half! It was so sad, especially since the providers didn’t understand why I was shaking so bad, nor did they do ANYTHING TO HELP ME STOP, or help me hold my daughter nothing! I was so dehydrated and hungry like they could have done something!
My first my water audibly popped on its own before actual labor began. For my second, I was 9 cm dilated and the water bag was still in tact and bulging outside of my body on its own. The nurse and doctor stood in awe of it for a second. Such opposite experiences.
I heard my water break too but nobody else heard it, so they didn't believe me. But I definitely heard a pop and ten seconds later started gushing, so...
Another thing (that I at least didn’t know before my first), epidurals don’t always work! I’ve had two children and my epidural failed both times. One time they gave me morphine and the second time they removed and replaced the epidural since it had come out of place. I’m still glad I got it both times since it was a nice break. That said, still good to practice breathing and other ways to cope with pain no matter what your plan is!
Yes I agree because one of my labors progressed so quickly I didn't have any time for one, I didn't know if I wanted one or not but I knew I wanted pain meds (like non-epidural kind) but either way didn't have time for anything.
@@nichole_bmx8313yeah its a tube placed in your back with a needle..sort of like an iv. The tube dispensing the meds can move and yes need to be replaced
Yes, and one thing no one ever mentioned to me that happened to me: the opposite. My first epidural worked “too well” and numbed my body up to my neck. Luckily i could breathe but my blood pressure was 80-something over 30-something. I ended up being fine but I remember the nurse looking scared because she was applying ice all the way to my shoulder and I didn’t feel anything.
Yep! I had 2 babies, and 2 epidurals that didn’t work for me! I also had morphine with them, they give a portion as a shot in the thigh (if possible) and some through your IV - I think so that less of the meds get to the baby before birth but I’m not 100% sure. I WISH my epidurals worked but either way the nurses will do their best to keep you comfortable as long as you keep telling them how you feel ❤
I was UNCONTROLLABLY shaking when I had to get my epidural. I was like, "Are you gunna be able to get it in??" And they said "yeah ofc!" They indeed could not get it in. 😭
I was induced for my labour. I was feeling ok and was talking about mid way through but suddenly stopped talking. My midwife had a spew bag in front of me in a heart beat. I was about to tell her I didn’t feel sick when I threw up into it. 😅 midwives know allll the signs.
I remember my first pregnancy, I was shaking & I started having an anxiety attack because I didn’t know what was happening. Best head nurse ever calmed me right now
That warning about not drinking too much water is true! First went into labor, fantastically thirsty, guzzled water & yup, it came back up in moments. Sucking on ice sucks, because you’re thirsty, don’t argue, just gut it out. Water will come after you deliver.
I had the shakes while having the c section procedure. I didn’t know nothing about what was going on or my body. I was terrified, the anesthesiologist was above my head and he look more terrified. They kept me in close observation for about 45 minutes or so until the numbness went away and I could move my legs. My body felt frozen even though they had brought me like 7 warm blankets. I’ve learned more about pregnancy and post pregnancy from pregnancy apps and medical doctors on CZcams than my obgyn. Thank you for giving us survival guidance.
I know what a bloody show was before my Labour but sadly it wasn't the normal amount, it felt like my waters had broke but when I took the sheets of me there was a excessive amount of blood, thankfully I was in the hospital for monitoring when this happened so the midwives came instantly and they rushed me into a labour room to see what was going on as it was continous heavy bleeding. I was 1cm dilated and 2cm thick when they broke my waters because of the bleeding and your right it felt like I was peeing and no one told me it was continous 😂 I didn't get the shakes but 13 hours in I was still only 1cm dilated and in agony so I had the epidural (I was being stubborn as was trying my best to not have one) as soon as it hit me I fell asleep 2 hours later I woke up with the feeling to push doctors looked and I was 10cm dilated and babies head was showing I did throw up, multiple times. Because I was at risk of needing a csection and I didn't want to be awake if it ended up resorting to that I wasn't allowed food, so I vomiting stomach acid resulting in a sore throat days after, I used a mirror to watch my birth and honestly I didn't care whether I pooped or not I know it's 100% normal but I was surprised when I didn't, might have been because I had constipation and hemeroids but no one believes me when I say I didn't poo myself, I did per myself however 😂😂
Thank you for educating women on this stuff!! I had horrible, uncontrollable shaking throughout most of my labor(16 hours and half of that was me shaking like crazy). The nurses kept asking me if I was cold…which I was actually burning up!!!! My husband was holding a fan on me even. The fact that they kept asking me that made me feel like that wasn’t normal and I asked and she told me “not really”. Which really worried me more. And on top of that I couldn’t stop throwing up…like constant!! I even threw up DURING my emergency c-section!!!!! My husband was on one side of my head and the anesthesiologist was on the other side with a bowl/bucket for me to throw up in and poor thing got it all over her hand.. I felt horrible, but I know she didn’t care. I just couldn’t believe how uneasy my nurses made me feel and me being a 1st time mom my anxiety was already through the roof. Glad that there’s nurses out there like you 🫶🏻
Just wondering if you have ever had someone in labor with a cerclage still in place? I had mine still in place during my miscarriage (almost 14 weeks). Baby came out with strings in place, but i was in AGONY! I was screaming with every contraction. My ob took it out the next day and said it looked like a rug burn on my cervix...
I lost my first baby due to cervical incompetency. At least that's their best guess. They stitch the cervix shut to keep it from opening prematurely. I had 3 done. My first was after they saw the membranes bulging and it failed. The second ended as described in my og comment, and the third ended with my 3 year old son.
I watch a birth vlog and the mother was violently shivering and teeth-chattering, she reassured the viewer in post that it was normal. I was shocked because no one had ever mentioned that before, so I'm glad to see it be brought up a little more :)
It’s really not necessary to have your cervix checked unless you want to know how dilated you are. Sure it helps them keep track, and if things are going too slow for too long you may medically need them. But only a couple cervix checks are medically necessary for a progressing labor! Gone are the days of the same protocol for everyone, just deny checks unless you really want to know. If they insist it’s necessary make an informed risk based decision to get one.
Yeah it was uncomfortable for me too. But when they put that catheter thing in to help me dilate before giving me petocin… THAT was super uncomfortable and the contractions after that were horrible.
My water broke on Sunday july 30th was in horrendous pain. Epidural stopped working on one side on the first time the second took forever to finally work and had to have an emergency C-section on August 1st after pushing for 4 hours and getting Preeclampsia and an infection. My labor was hell. Now I’m dealing with a spinal headache due to the epidural I’m taking meds but I’m in so much pain. Birth can be hell for some and amazing for others
They didn’t offer to do another epidural with a blood patch? They messed mine up and spinal fluid went shooting out my back so I ended up with the spinal headache, there ain’t no way I was taking a baby home with a headache like that. So they did another epidural where they put blood in and it clots the hole up and your headache will stop pretty fast.
I was in labor for 36 hours before I had to have an emergency csection. I couldn’t sleep due to the contractions for the entire 36 hours. I tired to eat about 24 hours into labor, held it down for about 15 minutes then puked everything back up. I threw up again right after I was finally admitted to the hospital after about 30 hours of labor. My water never broke on its own. I made it to 7cm dilated when baby girls heart rate started dropping and they did an emergency csection. The uncontrollable shaking was scary for me after I got the epidural. And ladies during a csection I’m not sure what causes it (probably the medication) but you will be so thirsty and your lips will be so dry. As soon as I heard my baby cry and met her for the first time all I could do was keep asking when I could have something to drink or some chap stick. I have never felt thirst like that.
Im 12 and watching this (im female) and i think im going through some phase 😭 ive been obsessed with babys lately and i just want to care for a baby for some reason 😅
I just had a C section, and I had the shakes really bad. I thought it was just because I was really scared. As soon as I heard my baby crying, I thought to myself "oh shit, I'm actually cut open right now... There's probably blood and guts everywhere" and just couldn't stop shaking. I also almost threw up.
My doula was awesome she taught me about *prodromal* labor - before active, can go on for 2 weeks! My OB knew it wasn't just Braxton-Hicks also. Early labor was such a great experience. The body just warming up❤
With both my pregnancies prodromal and early labor lasted at least 4 weeks. The hospital wouldn't admit me because contractions weren't frequent or consistent enough. Eventually my OB would just call it and help me break my water. The last time my Dr was like you are 8 cm dilated, idk how you are walking. She broke my water, contractions really started and the baby came soon after. Sleeping after was so good because that's a long time to be in labor
I just got out of labor with my first baby and this was ALLLL true for me. Love your channel Anna! You have helped me through my pregnancy more than you know!
Yes the throwing up is so true. I remember not wanting to eat before I got into labor, and once I was in labor they only gave me ice chips and water and not that long after I threw it up🥴 that's how I knew baby was coming
@@meandmyimagination4151 yeah!! i can’t ! idk how women are made this strong but me i’ll literally do anything to avoid vomiting. like burping , watching videos to distract me or even walk around . i hate vomiting and im dramatized of it . i would literally cry and freak out
And you don’t *have to* have your water broken at all. It’s considered lucky in some cultures to be born en caul. My water breaks when I’m 10cm and baby is crowning. Never had it ruptured artificially and my labors are extremely quick. I’ve never even been nauseous in labor thankfully cuz I spend most of my pregnancies nauseous 😂 I’ve had a csection and then 3 vbacs. Only pooped with my last one.
Yhh I don’t recommend getting your waters broken cause they did it too early with my mum while I was being born and I got stuck for 3 days and needed to be taken out with forceps. 💀
My favorite pregnancy story is the time my best friend called me in a panic because “something came out of her” and was scared something bad was happening. This was her first baby so she was wicked nervous. For context I’m not a mother nor have I been pregnant before. However, I worked in childcare for close to a decade and part of my education involves knowing about all the fetal developmental stages and all that jazz. It was her mucus plug. She was about to go into labor any minute. So I told her that. She didn’t believe me, but low and behold I woke up the next day to a picture of her with her newborn daughter. Little Nara is now 3 and a big sister.
@@jesse4831 i feel like they didn’t have enough rooms available in the hospital but I literally was in labor for a day and a half before going into the hospital
My doc did NOT believe me when I was shaky and pale saying I was about to throw up after my emergency c-section! Finally grabbed a bag and the anesthesiologist had to literally lift my head and tilt it for me bc I was too weak to turn my own head to throw up. Hardest most violent and painful shakes ever, after c-section!
Ive been puking sick for 10.5 years when i puked during and after labor all nurses and doctors were stunned and asked " is that normal for you" "yes i throw up everyday whenever i get to warm". So yeah not as common as you think! This happened at a city hospital
I barfed through both of my labors, ugh. I also heard my water breaking and nobody believed me! I heard a popping sound and I asked the two nurses who were right next to me if they heard that and then about 5-10 seconds later I started fishing fluid. The nurses said that it was impossible for me to hear the pop, but I definitely did...
The bloody show scared the life out of me. I had just been told I was 3cm dilated and all hell broke loose, it was so painful I was puking...and baby came and hour later.
Not pregnant and not really plan on being pregnant but I love watching your content❤❤❤ It makes it less scary and it helps family member know what to expect and possibly how to help❤
I was induced with my son. I will never forget calling in the nurse crying. I told her "idk if I peed the bed or my water broke 😭😭" she giggled and went "it's your water momma you are now in active labor😂" I was like "okay I'm gonna go pee now" having to pee is what woke me up😂😂😂😂
my first baby nobody told me the bleeding was normal i asked the nurse many times she never gave me a definitive answer, my anxiety was through the roof, was bleeding down my legs, trying to walk progress labor and all, second baby i was dilated 4cm for 3 weeks already and nothing, until 3am i went to the bathroom could barely sit and started to bleed i knew it was time, contractions started right away 2 min apart consistent, when i got to the hospital i was already 6cm , 3rd baby was induced no epidural because she was also posterior(the 3 of them were😢) when i started bleeding i knew i was past 5cm. my water never broke on it's own, when i was in transition the midwife broke it to speed things along
My water didnt break and it wasn't a problem. Baby girl was born with an inract one. When i felt her head coming out i was shocken beacause it felt extremly soft. Then my midwife told me it wasnt the head. In german its called "Glückshaube" which translates to lucky hat. It was belived that children with it have a lucky life :)

I threw up after I gave birth to my last child, it was a cesarean section, but yeah I threw up they had it put something up to me as I was having the baby next to my face and I almost threw up on my baby
I am on my 5th. This is still nice to hear in a way. I really appreciate the releif when my water breaks. Then it gets real and then it's all good. Mine go super quick.
Everything is true : I gave birth less than 3 weeks ago. It started with violent nausea and all my body shaking. Then my water broke and I pooped a little bit before baby was out
I've had two babies and never had any "bloody show" it doesn't happen every time. Also my water never broke and was never broken for me. My babies were born "in the veil" meaning they still had the sack around them. It looked kind of cool like they were in a clear water balloon.
I wish i had known about the nausea before my first time. I forgot to eat too and was crying because i was so so hungry and tired but could not eat a thing. Next time i was sure to eat before things amped up even made a big pot of soup to distract myself from labor pains which was a blessing to have while recovering
@apetty5918 Wow, that must've been so awful. I used to be absolutely petrified of ever needing an epidural, and as I got older, I'm thankful for the fact I can never try natural babies bc of what it could cause to me n my unborn little girl Emery
I got the shakes real bad after my first labor and I was scared to hold my baby because I was afraid I would drop her, and the doctors thought I had post partem because of that! I just wanted to stop shaking before I took her! Lol
Yup, knew all these except for the shaking before first labor - learned about that one a couple weeks ago. And definitely experienced the shaking and threw up with baby number 2
😨 Uncontrollabl shaking, pucking, pooping, and extreme pain, that almost sounds like being sick. why would anyone put themselves thu that? makes my stomach hurt just thinking about it. The more i learn about pregnancy and childbirth the more scared and discussed it makes me feel. I made up my mind when i was in my teens that i never wanted to have kids and for a boatload of reason and now i just found more. I have an extremely low pain tolerance and i act like a baby when i feel sick so i know without a doubt i would not like being pregnant.
Pro tip, eat some fruit when labor first starts! It feels like period cramps, it will help you poo through the early stages, I almost threw up bit just gagged
My bloody show was a tiny dot of blood I don't think you can even count it as a bloody show to be honest but it came a couple-a few days before my son was born. My waters broke naturally but at 36+2 . I didn't have uncontrollable shakes 7-10cm. I actually didn't find contractions too bad I laboured at home and took some paracetamol before going to hospital and I ended up being 10cm but I did after a full spinal epidural due to needing an episiotomy and for forceps assisted delivery and the shakes after were uncontrollable but was told its normal after having an epidural. Not sure about poop when pushing as I didn't feel a thing. All I know is is I lost 1.2L of blood and had a 2nd degree tear 🥴

We just had the free labor class at the hospital last week and asked about snacking, the facilitator said to just please avoid anything red or purple because if you vomit anything that looks like it could have blood in it, that's a warning sign for them and they have to do testing on the vomit to check whether or not it's actually blood.
@@fvbbaby2792 that’s smart!
The one thing no one told me is how much you bleed after having a baby...I thought I was DYING 😅.
My first birth, had my water broken right before pushing. But for my 2nd and 3rd (homebirths) my water broke (exploded lmao) right as babes heads were coming out.
The actual act of breaking the water doesnt hurt. But having hands down there did
Slip and slide entrance 😅 that happened with my second baby... but there was also a huge splash after she exited
Obviously 😆
My midwives have told me over my two births that breaking waters might speed labor up by 30 minutes, but contractions are less painful with intact membranes.
I wasn’t expecting to dry heave during labor. They gave me tummy meds, which made me dry heave instead of calming it down. Totally unexpected.
Worst fear about pregnancy is the throwing up not the giving birth but the throwing up
Exactly! Me too!!!! I might choose adoption. Hope my hubby is okay with that
The one question I always had but never got answered is: why the hospital and staff rush your labor and delivery so much? Even if your labor is naturally progressing well they still gave Pictocin... they told me other people needed the room I was in. Why the rush?
The money! It's all about the money. That's why they push C sections too because they bring in about 30%-50% more money.
I wonder that too as in the UK pictocin is only given if you want it or its severely needed.
Sending happy quick deliveries y’all’s way ❤️
I think its BECAUSE you know what to expect and how painful it can be that you are getting nervous... its possible.
💛💛💛💛💛
Wao, actually it's opposite to the first baby
And I am thinking everything will be as like I notice on my first timebaby
Oh yeaaa....The shaking, the throwing up, the poop😫🫨 See you again in 2 weeks labour🙄😮💨🤦🏾♀️😂😂
Wait CAME OUT OF PLACE?!
I was like, "Are you gunna be able to get it in??" And they said "yeah ofc!"
They indeed could not get it in.
Pov: you find this and become scared about having your baby 💀😅
I had the shakes while having the c section procedure. I didn’t know nothing about what was going on or my body. I was terrified, the anesthesiologist was above my head and he look more terrified. They kept me in close observation for about 45 minutes or so until the numbness went away and I could move my legs. My body felt frozen even though they had brought me like 7 warm blankets. I’ve learned more about pregnancy and post pregnancy from pregnancy apps and medical doctors on CZcams than my obgyn. Thank you for giving us survival guidance.
Also rare cases where the water isn't broken, sometimes the babies are born in the amniotic sac. That's called being born 'en caul'.
I was 1cm dilated and 2cm thick when they broke my waters because of the bleeding and your right it felt like I was peeing and no one told me it was continous 😂
I didn't get the shakes but 13 hours in I was still only 1cm dilated and in agony so I had the epidural (I was being stubborn as was trying my best to not have one) as soon as it hit me I fell asleep 2 hours later I woke up with the feeling to push doctors looked and I was 10cm dilated and babies head was showing
I did throw up, multiple times. Because I was at risk of needing a csection and I didn't want to be awake if it ended up resorting to that I wasn't allowed food, so I vomiting stomach acid resulting in a sore throat days after,
I used a mirror to watch my birth and honestly I didn't care whether I pooped or not I know it's 100% normal but I was surprised when I didn't, might have been because I had constipation and hemeroids but no one believes me when I say I didn't poo myself, I did per myself however 😂😂
You talk so calmly about all these scary things 😮
Anna, you are such an amazing person! You are so much help to everyone!❤❤❤❤
So excited to get this baby out! So much less anxiety the second time around!
Glad that there’s nurses out there like you 🫶🏻
Ugh those shakes. That’s what I remember.
What is that?
I lost my first baby due to cervical incompetency. At least that's their best guess. They stitch the cervix shut to keep it from opening prematurely. I had 3 done. My first was after they saw the membranes bulging and it failed. The second ended as described in my og comment, and the third ended with my 3 year old son.
I watch a birth vlog and the mother was violently shivering and teeth-chattering, she reassured the viewer in post that it was normal. I was shocked because no one had ever mentioned that before, so I'm glad to see it be brought up a little more :)
Why does nobody talk about how uncomfortable it is getting your cervix checked.. just me?
That hurt so bad while in labor
It’s really not necessary to have your cervix checked unless you want to know how dilated you are. Sure it helps them keep track, and if things are going too slow for too long you may medically need them. But only a couple cervix checks are medically necessary for a progressing labor! Gone are the days of the same protocol for everyone, just deny checks unless you really want to know. If they insist it’s necessary make an informed risk based decision to get one.
Let me add, you will need one to be admitted to most labor and delivery wards. Stay in the comfort of your home as long as possible.
Yeah it was uncomfortable for me too. But when they put that catheter thing in to help me dilate before giving me petocin… THAT was super uncomfortable and the contractions after that were horrible.
Omg the worst pain. They freaking fisted me
Women are so strong
How come the thing we were literally made for puts us in so much pain and suffering 😭
This is when my baby fever started and now I’m 20 and pregnant 😅😅 I definitely recommend waiting
I threw up during labor and the nurse told me to quit being dramatic 😂
I would have thrown up on her tf???
I'm so sorry you experienced that. Sending lot of hugs ❤
Had all of these. Lol. The throwing up was the worst it lasted the whole labor for my first one.
I’m glad you provide so much info. You make it less scary. ❤
When I have to give both I am going to be more worried about the needles than the pain for the labor
I had all of those. Plus I told everyone in the room that if I poop DO NOT tell me. 😁
I wish I know about these things 30 years ago when I was in labor. Thanks you.
I threw up between every contraction for 12hrs. No medications helped. It was just blood and mucous after an hour or so. Was awful.
I'm on my 4th pregnancy, and I've never experienced the bloody show or my water breaking lol nor have I ever thrown up 😅lol
I remember seeing the 💩 on Jersey Shore when Snooki had her baby
Ladies might poop when pushing but the lovely L&D nurses make sure to immediately wipe it down and away making it impossible for anyone to see. ❤
I just gave birth two days ago to a baby boy.
I don't want to get pregnant again.. yeah it was all natural.
What? The birth?
The shakes are insane!!!
I just got out of labor with my first baby and this was ALLLL true for me. Love your channel Anna! You have helped me through my pregnancy more than you know!
The shaking is crazy, I shook like crazy when it was time for epidural
Yes the throwing up is so true. I remember not wanting to eat before I got into labor, and once I was in labor they only gave me ice chips and water and not that long after I threw it up🥴 that's how I knew baby was coming
as a person who’s scared of throwing up and suffering from emetaphobia, i may consider adopting
And we're 2. Same here
@@meandmyimagination4151 yeah!! i can’t ! idk how women are made this strong but me i’ll literally do anything to avoid vomiting. like burping , watching videos to distract me
or even walk around . i hate vomiting and im dramatized of it . i would literally cry and freak out
And you don’t *have to* have your water broken at all. It’s considered lucky in some cultures to be born en caul. My water breaks when I’m 10cm and baby is crowning. Never had it ruptured artificially and my labors are extremely quick.
I’ve never even been nauseous in labor thankfully cuz I spend most of my pregnancies nauseous 😂
I’ve had a csection and then 3 vbacs. Only pooped with my last one.
Yhh I don’t recommend getting your waters broken cause they did it too early with my mum while I was being born and I got stuck for 3 days and needed to be taken out with forceps. 💀
I love that it's also called a mermaid birth ❤
That day after pain is pretty awful too. That milk comes in and its no joke
Had a C-section. Threw up the whole time. Anesthesiologist kept promising the vomiting would stop. It didn't.
I was throwing up constantly when I was in labor. In fact, that was the main reason I wanted the epidural was to stop the vomiting.
Thanks for the birth control reminder.
When I had a bloody show they kept trying to gas light me into staying home before going to the hospital
why?
@@jesse4831 i feel like they didn’t have enough rooms available in the hospital but I literally was in labor for a day and a half before going into the hospital
that makes me so sad because i have emetophobia and i hope i get over it before having a kid but i don’t want it to stop me from doing what i love
I knew all of these except the throwing up part...
I was shaking while giving birth and the nurse told me to stop shaking 😂😂💀
Not pregnant and not really plan on being pregnant but I love watching your content❤❤❤
It makes it less scary and it helps family member know what to expect and possibly how to help❤
Thank you I wasn’t horrified as it is
I was induced with my son. I will never forget calling in the nurse crying. I told her "idk if I peed the bed or my water broke 😭😭" she giggled and went "it's your water momma you are now in active labor😂" I was like "okay I'm gonna go pee now" having to pee is what woke me up😂😂😂😂
I threw up & he came right on out 😂🩵
Thank you for confirming the last one because my old biology teacher said your not supposed to 💩 while in labor and i got confused
Two out of three here...lol
1. Had to break my water
2. Threw up right before it was time to push..
Good times, good times. Lol
I threw up during both labors...1st one I pretty much heaved my poor kid out😂
my first baby nobody told me the bleeding was normal i asked the nurse many times she never gave me a definitive answer, my anxiety was through the roof, was bleeding down my legs, trying to walk progress labor and all, second baby i was dilated 4cm for 3 weeks already and nothing, until 3am i went to the bathroom could barely sit and started to bleed i knew it was time, contractions started right away 2 min apart consistent, when i got to the hospital i was already 6cm , 3rd baby was induced no epidural because she was also posterior(the 3 of them were😢) when i started bleeding i knew i was past 5cm.
my water never broke on it's own, when i was in transition the midwife broke it to speed things along
All 3 of mine i had my waters broken. I went from normal labour pains to full-blown labour pains within 15 minutes.
Well i always had the shakes after having a baby like bad but only afterwards, and i never went into labor all mine were scheduled c-sections
Some say it’s the hormone changes
My water didnt break and it wasn't a problem. Baby girl was born with an inract one. When i felt her head coming out i was shocken beacause it felt extremly soft. Then my midwife told me it wasnt the head. In german its called "Glückshaube" which translates to lucky hat. It was belived that children with it have a lucky life :)
I have zero, ZERO intention of ever being parent and I will never let myself be in the position to gibe birth. Saying that your vids are very helpful for writing my pregnant OC
I threw up after I gave birth to my last child, it was a cesarean section, but yeah I threw up they had it put something up to me as I was having the baby next to my face and I almost threw up on my baby
I’m terrified of giving birth, why do people do it so much if it’s this bad😭😭😭😭
1) Cause it’s not that bad for everyone
2) It’s short-term discomfort
@@potato1084 it’s not always short term😭 plus a child coming out of me doesn’t sound fun, painnn
More information i didnt know. Thank you!!!
Yup, I had the shakes
How do you stop the shaking when giving the epidural?
They had to give me a shot eventually
@apetty5918 Wow, that must've been so awful. I used to be absolutely petrified of ever needing an epidural, and as I got older, I'm thankful for the fact I can never try natural babies bc of what it could cause to me n my unborn little girl Emery
I’m 23 weeks pregnant and can’t wait to get to the end.
Omg I didn’t know about the throwing up
I knew all of these other than the first one!
Alternate title: "Reason why I have a voluntary surgery scheduled to get my fallopian tubes tied next month"
