In Wisconsin, administration and enforcement of Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) rule was delegated to the state's Department of Health Services (DHS). Here, the RRP rule is called the Lead Safe Renovator rule.
This particular video shows methods for containing construction dust and debris that could be coated in lead-based paint. Different levels of dust containment are shown; the final example could even be used on lead-based paint abatement job site.

excellent video. As someone who WAS considering a renovation project in a 1928 home, this made me realize one thing: don't mess with the walls unless strictly necessary! LOL In other words, all projects must be "need to have" as opposed to "nice to have".

I wish I saw this video last month! I just finished an interior restoration project and just ended up taping my plastic sheeting to the ceiling. Those poles look super simple to use! I will definitely have to look for those next time....

Negative air is not required for these types of lead paint regulations, but yeah it's a solid recommendation.

Is lead present in trace amounts even in "lead free" paint? I tested my apartment, which is in an old building, but all the walls in my unit were erected and painted in the 90s.

What tool is that you are holding at the end of the video? Is that used to drill holes in wall?

Containment is required for these regulations, but a dirty room & negative air are optional. Still, it's a solid recommendation to use them.

@@TestudoLLCMadisonwhat is a dirty room? Just another contained space to dress/undress?

Where did you buy those poles?

Those are Zip Poles by ZipWall. They're available everywhere, big box stores, Amazon, etc.
