Extremely good video. I had problems removing the spring clips holding the wheels on to the axel. I opted to create a long screwdriver that would reach the screws behind the wheels, removing the wheels is done only to access the screws with a normal screwdriver. Like others my problem was the vacuum pipe had become disconnected, if it happens again I will add clips. When replacing the cover make sure it’s perfectly positioned before replacing the screws, I had to remove it again as the area around the power switch was not aligned correctly, also I found it easier to keep the cover aligned correctly by replacing the screws at the top first working down towards the bottom.
Many thanks. Saved me a huge amount of time. Some tips to add to your great video: - the wheel push fasteners can be removed with a small screwdriver and light hammer. Drive the screwdriver between the teeth of the fastener then lever up a small amount. Move to the opposite side of the fastener and repeat. Keep repeating until the fastener pops off. - you’ll need a Torx T15 long shank screwdriver with a conventional handle. Torx screwdriver bits won’t work, T bar screwdrivers don’t have the room to rotate. - like others, the fault with mine was that the vacuum tube to the detergent bottle had disconnected. I used small nylon tie wraps which seem secure. Others have used clamps. - on mine the high pressure hose reel pulled away from the brass shaft complete with the T piece. All seemed fine on reassembly. Hope that helps
Really helpful. Many thanks. Could you add more detail info about how to remove the metalic protectors to be able to release the wheels? In your video were already removed but not showed how to..
Thanks for very clear operation. The difficult part of the job is removing the wheel clips, the aim for this step is to remove the 2 screws beside the wheels. actually the wheel does not need to remove, if you can find a long screw driver, or you can creat a long screw driver to remover the 2 screws.
In respect of the removal of the pesky spring clips holding the wheels to the shaft. I bought a T15 screwdriver with 4 inch (10 cm) shaft. A local engineering works extended the shaft to 12 inches (30 cm). With this I was able to remove T15 screws (second screw from base) behind the wheels. Quite likely the Karcher workshops have an extended T15 screwdriver. Placing a magnet against the screwdriver shaft will retain the T15 screw to the screwdriver. Hope this will be of use.
AGAIN: YOU DON'T HAVE TO REMOVE THE WHEELS! (See comment 1 year ago) You can REMOVE THE black part of the housing including the wheels. Take a long (4-5 cm) torx 15 Bit and use some long bit adapter/screw driver to remove the screws. Good luck.
You dont need to remove the wheels. Just need a long shank driver for the Torx screws. Anyway removing the clips destroys them. Also removing the power switch knob first makes it easy to reassemble. Just prize off the knob. Otherwise this is a piece of cake to do.
TWO angry COMMENTS ! THERE ARE 9 screws, not 8. You can imagine my frustration after taking out 8 screws and nearly wrecking the case trying to pull it apart with one still in place. You do not have to take the wheels off and you will NOT do it with a little screwdriver like you show as if be magic.
this is complete bullshit, the grip washer holding the wheel on has to be virtually destroyed to get it off, you don't show what a ball-ache they are to remove.

Now fixed! Vaccum hose got disconnected added two clamp...would have been impossible without your video. Thanks again!
My K7 just fell into a river (oops). I was hoping to find just this kind of instructional video. Thanks! 🙂

Muchas gracias por su ayuda, me a servido mucho. Soy de España, Andalucía, Cádiz.

Thanks a lot ! In my case, removing the wheel is not needed ...
Thank you. this was really helpful
Many thanks for this. HOPE all is well with u.

How do you just change the hose?
Very Helpful. Can you please show how to open regular K7?
Yes I'll post it tomorrow
How in the hell did you remove the wheel clip?
Hey, how do you reconnect the actual high pressure hose back to the machine. (The connection near the hose real)
Do we really have to remove the wheels to open the K7? I have a K7 Smart Control and I can't remove the wheels...
The only difficult part of the job is removing the wheel clips and you don't show that.
It's easy. Just slowly pry it out.
I tought the same thing😂
@@JohnSmith-ho8uphow ?
Can't remember exactly but it does.. @@2VSbrothers
Anyone knows how to pry it out?
Thank you 👍👍👍
My pleasure
Great thanks
Thank you for taking the time to share this video, it’s a great help.
Much appreciated

IT DOESN'T
You don't have to remove the wheels. See separate comments
Impossible to remove the wheels. It’s not that easy like he shows
Use a extra long screwdriver or a adapter bit to get behind the weels
