This will be my last Elden Ring video for a while as I've been pretty burnt out of it the past few months, don't worry though I'll definitely be doing stuff for DLC and maybe some stuff here and there. I'll be doing lots of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom stuff though as I've been loving the game a lot and think there's tons of cool stuff to do with the game, so expect lots of that in the coming months :)

I can't imagine how easy the base game is after doing stuff like this and 10× bosses
He can parry and do nearly no death runs so yeah he's op. But I'd also be sad for him tho cos the game can eventually become boring I think of he tried it without a challenge
starting with quickstep was smart! fun video and interesting challenge, hope you have fun on your break from ER.
Y'know, theres two ways i can see this challenge being easier
A. a newer player tries it and has no muscle memory
B. Magic because standing far away lets you not need to worry as much about some attacks
But then we have chris saying "No" to such heresy and still annihilating elden ring. and since hes transitioning to TOTK i can only wonder what will happen there

The rules: 1-must commit to the full combo of a weapon until reaching the end combo animation (unless interrupted or enemy’s death)
2-the combo must consist of at least three attacks
It was a fun challenge but i got stuck at Gideon , i couldn’t get past him no matter what i did

Yeah that actually had come up, but I decided I wanted the run to be more about can it be done rather than punishing me for failing it lol, especially with finnicky controller deadzones and whatnot

technically you could roll as it’s activated on button let go instead of press. and then just go whichever direction you want to roll
Well holding down b and inputting a direction would be two inputs, which isn't the roll (it's sprint) but it would still be more than one input

this vid after the last post hits different. i miss when they made daggers actually fun and viable in ds3 and decided to make them shit again in er. my dagger playthrough was fun after the buffs tho
In these kinds of videos, could we get a reset number or have resets counted towards the death counter?
Yeah I had just kinda kept track of deaths by default and didn't think about the resets being separate until a good bit into the run. From what I remember though it was probably like about 3 times more on average than my deaths
One day Chris will beating Elden Ring blind
I did beat all the remembrance bosses blindfolded a while back (besides malenia because lifesteal lol), but obviously that's not traversing the world blindfolded or anything as that would be insane

Yeah I feel that lol, my old controller started getting pretty bad drift as well as buttons wearing out and had to replace it

It wasn't a parry, he broke Margit's posture/stance. Basically if you do enough attacks quickly enough, enemies can get their posture broken and you get a free critical as if you had parried them.

Could have tried to find a way to block multiple inputs instead of having to reset every time when you do it accidentally. This way it's too much of an unnecessary torture.
Yeah but then I could just brute force it instead of have to fight my muscle memory for every move I make lol, I thought this way was harder and more interesting for me

I tried, but you have to roll to cancel the getup animation, you can't backstep by pressing just b, so that would be two inputs :(

If its one button why cant you use the joystick while pressing that one button, if you aren’t clicking down the joystick its not really a button
I thought it would be more fun and challenging to treat it as one "input" rather than just one button, since if I could roll and do stuff with joysticks, it wouldn't be much of a challenge

Can you beat Elden Ring by pressing ONLY One Button? - you can not. It is supposed to be an attack button but u need to dodge attacks somehow or heal urself. In the video u press all buttons so nah, you did not beat the game by pressing ONLY one button. cheers!

And English language can be hard to understand sometimes or can put a way to explain what you want or the meaning
