I don’t feel like the second is looking at where our recruits are from. Last 2 years we’ve barely touched Cali recruits so it not about Cali kids mentality. It’s about how poorly they were coached. A retired NFL safety Taylor Mayes worked with these kids for six weeks and got them to tackle Alex Grinch couldn’t do it two years.

Michigan got Mason Graham from Cal and this kid could be an top NFL pick next year. But he was an three star that no team in the Pac 12 wanted.

Most our D Lineman aren’t Cali kids! Bear, Brandon Shelby, Kameron Fountain, Texas A&M transfer, DT Jones from Texas, etc.

Matt Barrie has a valid point and a valid question. Great offensive playmakers out of California, but everything else needs to be improved.
ND versus USC last year was a precursor to what finesse former pac12 teams against the big boys in the big 10 is going to look like this upcoming season.
USC’s players were never the problem. Swear ESPN’s College Football Team has got to be the most overpaid, and underperforming employees in America. Got Bear Alexander from Georgia last year talking about ,” find me a defensive linemen”.
100% correct. California and West Coast doesn’t produce top notch HS OL/DL for College football. Many must be developed and some don’t.

Obviously the new QBs will not be better than Caleb, but the O-line will be and that was the problem. Also they brought in a bunch of all pac defenders in the portal so….
Of course they’ll be better but the schedule is way harder so I wouldn’t judge them by their record in the end.
