WHY I OFTEN DON'T MENTION OTHER BRANDS IN MY VIDEOS.
You may have noticed that I often don't mention the original brands that watches I am reviewing pay homage to. This is very intentional and not meant to offend you or the original brands. I lost my first channel in October 2020 which I had spent 9 months growing and invested a significant amount of money in simply because I had mentioned the original brands in some of my videos. There are people who try to use CZcamss lack of understanding when it comes to the difference between homage watches and fake watches to attack other channels and their owners and sadly I fell foul of this in 2020. This channel was also attacked recently and CZcams deleted content simply because I had said 'subby homage' and 'Rolex homage' in two videos despite the watches in the videos being perfectly legal homage watches. Please understand that I can not afford to risk my channel so I will no longer be mentioning other brands when reviewing homage watches.

THEY HAVE REPLIED! I have to cut the bracelet to length....FFS! (It's an H20 Homage!)
there are aftermarket shark mesh bracelets with removable links. but i would put a thick fluororubber strap on it to lighten the load.
good advice! thanks
Brilliant... Dremel time !
Steeldive cheaped out on the bracelet, what a pain. A good thick rubber strap would've been a better alternative to this chain link fence of a mesh.
😂
One does not adjust the bracelet on this watch....One bulks up until you fit the watch. 😁💪
Step 1, find some testosterone
Like the good old vintage mesh bracelets that must be cut to your size! I've seen quite a few of this type of mesh bracelets on old vintage watches. The watch is a beast, but it's actually nice! Did the watch come from China or do they have a warehouse in Europe? Really fast delivery!
Yep a classic shark mesh where apparently you’re supposed to cut a row of links. A complete nightmare.
I have what looks like the same bracelet on my Citizen BN0150-28E. I used a Dremel with a diamond wheel to cut it to the appropriate size. It looks great and is very comfortable.
You supposed to get some wire cutters and snip off the links until it fits. Wear eye protection.
I've had eye on this for a few weeks now but just hasn't come down in price enough for me to pull the trigger on. Looking forward to your full review on this watch.
If you do get one, be prepared to cut the bracelet but I think it might be worth it....its crazy but I like it!
I ordered it with the strap, and fits great, even comfortable. But I ordered the bracelet later and have the same problem, you can't adjust it. Still, amaaaazing watch. @@ilikewatches
Given its size and weight, once you dive with it, how are you supposed to come up? Do you leave the watch at the bottom of the sea, lol!
Lol
Lume looks good. The 11 at the 12 position confuses me. But looking forward to your review as curious to know what wearing it for any length of time (while not wearing a wetsuit) is like?
Suspect putting the price up based on the initial interest spike is a mistake as I really can’t see lots of people interested beyond the novelty value and the new price will give plenty of pause for thought. And especially as I suspect 25km is just a number on the dial rather than anywhere close to actual performance.
Hope your door jambs survive the testing phase …
For sharkmesh bracelets, the method I have to used was masking up the bracelet and using a Dremel with a cut-off wheel where you have to be very careful not to remove too many links for those summer months on a warm and slightly swelled wrist. I fitted a glidelock on-the-fly type clasp too to give me some adjustment options either way which helps but they don't come in all bracelet widths. If you come to sell a particular watch to someone with a larger wrist and they want the original signed bracelet hardware, then you are somewhat screwed. I guess in retrospect, I should have fitted an aftermarket sharkmesh bracelet to the signed versions but I don't really sell any of my watches so I don't foresee a problem really.
RetroFitted 3 of my other divewatches with sharkmesh, 2 Seikos and a Citizen as there was something of a boom in this upgrade around a decade ago and they do wear nice and conform to the wrist very well.
Wooo... now that's quite a chunk of timepiece! Looking forward to your full review. As regards the bracelet, easy: just stuff away yet more mince pies and chocolate, put on weight and presto, a great fit. Or cut a couple of cm off, then realise it's now way to short, then put it on a good quality rubber strap. Happy New Year! 😊
The bracelet will be at perfect length when you bring it down to 25000m! But where to find that depth? Maybe on Neptune?
All you need is a sturdy pair of side-cutters with a smallish nose. I've adjusted dozens of these bands over the years. Once trimmed, they're hands-down the most comfortable metal bands in the world, almost on par with the lovely Bonetto itaalian rubber straps. And, unlike the Bonetto, the shark mesh requires no breaking-in! Cheers,
Homaging a small micro brand :( Strapcode makes an excellent mesh and you buy them sized but something that chonky needs a strap you can cinch down :)
That’s a weapon of mass destruction
Thats a beast and I think you have to cut the links to fit
That's what they've said! rediculous
Holy moley, that thing is huge, lol! Ain't nobody going to risk robbing you with that watch on, it turns your wrist into a deadly weapon! Is it bad that I hope it fails the pressure test spectacularly? Like less than 100M?
😂👍
It's a watch of an extraordinary magnitude, forged with the spirit of tradition of our ancestors. Steeldrive have our gratitude.
Lol
We found the writer of every Kickstarter watch campaign origin story.
Perfect watch for negotiating the mean street of Marlow when you're right out of knuckle dusters. Only way to size a shark mesh is a pair of snips and much prayer.
So Gary, you do have a double garage to park that thing in don’t ya?…😱🤣
I like the style. A scaled down version would be pretty cool.
I've got one on order however ordered it with a rubber strap.
I am keen to add this to my collection of deep dive watches. Sadly, the price is above the import limit here in Turkey. Like my Spinnaker Piccard, I may have to arrange delivery to an address of a friend that will later visit me, to overcome the burdensome import limit.
This needs a DLC bezel and a black insert with only hash marks (no numbers). The tiny numbers on the bezel look weird in comparison to the rest of the watch.
The best you have reviewed in ages!
lol….really
Mines just arrived too ! I see they have gone up in price £100 already .
I know…easiest £100 I ever made 😂
Masking tape and a Dremel to cut off one line of links at a time , I have done this with Miltat shark mesh and others , its not hard .
What A BEAST ! I like it and will look at grabbing one in the new year .
Love it! Can't wait for the review.
Oh boy. That’s a pretty sizable and heavy looking watch. All the same, great video- it’s nice to know what’s out there in the horological world.
You need a 24 or even better a 32 tooth per inch hacksaw blade (18tpi won't work) I've done a few of them. It's the best method rather than using metal snips. If you need more info I'll do you some photos of my method tomorrow morning.
Can we call this the Thanos? It's got that end of the Universe, glove of power vibe. Lol!
hello! Does the H2o brand still exist? I can't speak to them either via email or on the phone.
Wow that is just ridiculous! Having to cut them puts me off sharks mesh bracelets, and also they don't fit well in the lug space.
Oh look, 'these go to 11'; subsequently they also have a 10:30 position (between 10 and 11), very innovative.
Did you ever followup with a full review?
Yes
I have a Helberg CH1 which is also ridiculously OTT. I wouldn't put it past Steeldive to homage that one as well
Looks like they're been browsing the Invicta catalog
in the mid-2000s, citizen release the eco-zilla that can go to 1km underwater. It is ridiculous. This watch is also ridiculous. I'll be putting in my order in the next month.
Wear it round ya neck lad! Love it haha
Mental, don't think I could wear it but I love it.
I have that same bracelet on my heimdallr godzilla homage. Bought it off of strapsco online. It was actually pretty easy to size once i cut off the links with a dremel. It actually took less time then it took to remove the friction pins off of both sides of my previous watch.
The design team at Ali express must be under alot of pressure to come up with something new and original. This was basically a fever dream of an alien's idea of what good watch design looks like. Nice try?😅
You probably need to cut the links to make it a bit shorter. 😂
The last time I saw a watch this big was the Swiss Military 20000 ft Chronograph diver
Yup, apparently so!
Did it not come with the rubber black steel dive rubber strap as well, I've seen a few in china etc that come with 2 straps ..
No. It’s one or the other
Hahaha. You actually bought it. Hell yeah brother.
I did. 🤦🏻♂️
Sea Monster!
Truly!
Love it ! Put it on a nice rubber strap though.
That's a monster.
I think they have done a Pro-plof-plof -fizz-fizz as well ...
Bought that type of bracelet for my 1000m diver, a dremel with a cut off wheel makes quick work of it. Beware the "links" heat up something fierce!
Great help thank you!
It is definitely my next watch. I love it!
REALLY?!?
@@ilikewatches you'll never see another one like it. That's why I want it. It's not my first large steeldive, usually I have bronze.
My 7" wrist should be ok.
Plus I do a lot of snorkeling in the summer.
Profile of a Cheeseburger... I use an angle grinder with 1mm cut-off blade to size those mesh bracelets. Cut across and then use some small longnose pliers to pull out the cut bits.
will do! thanks
1100 ft deep (if not in a conveyance) will crush you, so that is a really huge overkill.
put a nato strap on it, it reminds me off the munro adventure watch
WOW, that's 2.5km below the seas surface, just who or what can survive at that depth?
Well, I hope the 'Press Channel' can at least try to test this watch to somewhere near it's quoted/stated limit!
Ummm how's your maths.
25000m is 25km.... 2.5 times greater than the deepest known point of the ocean 😅
@@villewintermaul1907 Yes, my bad, it is Christmas after all?!
Invicta are sat in the corner, weeping uncontrollably. C’est fin.
Lol
I had a bracelet like that ages ago and tried cutting the links myself, it was a nightmare and I had to bin it 😔
I am anxious to hear the dimensions of that behemoth!
Just putting this here😅
Challenger Deep is approximately 10,935 meters (35,876 feet) deep.
This is the deepest known point of the ocean. What is the point of a 25000m diver😂
The dial and hands are superb, waiting for a, erm, "normal" watch with them fitted.....................
You could destroy a Russian ship with that badboi. Bracelet looks like a huge oversight though
lol, I'll send it over to Ukraine if it comes back from the HPC
this watch will definitely help to dive faster :D :D
did send to the hydrolic channel
No, they ignored my email!
I think a chain link fence company can resize the "back yard fence" of a bracelet.
lol That 9 inch grinder I bought 15 years ago might actually get used!
Just off on a 25001metre dive, just to guarantee that it is kosher.
I think this watch requires a special type of customer to like it.
I did email them and supposedly they are tested to 25000m in a test chamber
That has to be the only chamber of it's kind in the world!
Not difficult, just Herman after going to the gym… you can get hand operated pumps up to 3000 bar, put the watch head in a cylinder (no faffing about with windows though) @@ilikewatches
Great self defence tool. Swing that to clear your path😂
I love it!
It makes my Godzilla ecozilla look like a lizard.
I quite like it but only have an 8inch wrist😂
$730 AUD for a NH35? I'm thinking NO. I have cut a mesh bracelet using a metal cutting disc on a Dremel. Worked fine, but not reversable.
Right now in Spain, with coupons the price remains at €304
I cut my "shark" bracelets with a Dremel. I cut only the front part of the bracelet
Cosplay watch
Oh Heck, I love it ‼️
Oh.
My.
God.
Double decker
What a giant !!😂 And you have to cut the bracelet !!........but there is something cool about it !
I myself liking this! Too thick though to be practical. This is meant to go diving on Jupiter.
Invicta watch has competition now, lol.....
Can you use wire cutters to size it?🤷🏻♂️
That's what they've just told me! That is rediculous....I'll try and find a different bracelet I think
I use a dremel tool to cut the links. Shark mesh bracelets are great, more appropriate for a dive watch than a Milanese. @@ilikewatches
@@ilikewatches If I was to wear this watch often, I'd cut it to the right size if needed, I have a 7.5 inch wrist. If it's now and then, I'd get some good fkm strap.
I think i'm going to have to
great advice, thank you
WoW that's a Monster......but yeah, WTF happened to the bracelet? I think they should reduce the size to a "normal" watch. It seems like its their own design and they will definitely sell more of that watch if they made those changes
If they reduce the size how are you going to dive to 25 kilometers deep?
@SingleTrackMined I mean whos going down there anyway?
@@ignaciopadilla5150 Me, once my watch arrives. I'm not going that deep without knowing what time it is. Sheesh!
I love this watch !!! 😁
You have to cut the mesh chain to fit your wrist Gary.
Reminds me of a Vostok Europe 🤓🤣
Weirdly i do like this piece but the cutting of the vintage mesh is a total no no !!! I THINK THE LOOK OF THE WATCH REMINDS ME OF THE OLD SEIKO BOTTLE CAP pieces..Would be nice if they scaled it down to a normal everyday wearer....
It is a nice wall watch. Hehe
Love the original watch from H2O
The Hommage Looks good.
I think Clemens Helberg dont like it 🤣
I cut the links with electrical side cutters , cut both sides of each link 👌
Thanks!
What a CHAD piece
Not 25,000m.....2500m.
No….25,000m
For sure definitely a talking point, but with my wrist size, it would look kind of ridiculous on me, shame.
1000mm
U are suposed to cut tge chains to adjust it
Drexel tool!
It would be hilarious if it was 30m WR 😂 and quartz
If you knock this watch by accident it will make a crater in whatever stood in its path
I cant imagine buying that.
The need to put this on a proper bracelet. That clasp isn't even signed.
It looks so mad it belongs on the cool wall. Too pricey for me to buy one and cutting the bracelet is a pain but I would wear it otherwise. ❤
