WHY I OFTEN DON'T MENTION OTHER BRANDS IN MY VIDEOS.
You may have noticed that I often don't mention the original brands that watches I am reviewing pay homage to. This is very intentional and not meant to offend you or the original brands. I lost my first channel in October 2020 which I had spent 9 months growing and invested a significant amount of money in simply because I had mentioned the original brands in some of my videos. There are people who try to use CZcamss lack of understanding when it comes to the difference between homage watches and fake watches to attack other channels and their owners and sadly I fell foul of this in 2020. This channel was also attacked recently and CZcams deleted content simply because I had said 'subby homage' and 'Rolex homage' in two videos despite the watches in the videos being perfectly legal homage watches. Please understand that I can not afford to risk my channel so I will no longer be mentioning other brands when reviewing homage watches.

This would have been good value 5/6 years ago before San Martin really upped the specs for value game
Except OOO are original and sell beyond the confines of a warehouse supplying mass produced hugely overpriced AliEx cloner gear, and are thus incomparable.
@@helmutsilver5006 haha bro, San Martin have many original designs. Selling direct to consumer is a very normal strategy used to keep prices low. Look at brands like OnePlus phones or Canyon bikes. It has nothing to do with quality, it's just a business strategy, selling through retail is expensive. It is very clear to me that cost has been passed on to the consumer in this case. Put any of the higher end San Martin original design pieces up against this watch and it will blow it out of the water in terms of quality and cost less.
Seems a tad overpriced to me. Poor lume, not the best finishing, and ridiculous packaging. The only thing it has going in its favour is originality. The cost seems at least twice what it should actually cost, if you compare it to something from San Martin etc.
I like this watch, Gary. By the way, 48 clicks are useful on a GMT as it allows you to track timezones that are 30 minutes different from your home time.
Curiously, in Canada, they sell this brand at a major department store called Hudson’s bay so you can find them on sale pretty regularly.

Wow. That is the roughest looking product I've seen on a review channel. I remember when I came across this brand a few years back, and my impression was that they went with the distressed idea because they couldn't make a quality watch. Looks like I was right.
shaker is a nice touch. But 600 bucks for a no name brand? And doesn’t even come with sapphire crystal? I don’t know about that. Would rather get myself a Baltic, or Lorier. Or a colorful citizen for much less than this. Or I could get 2 san martin GMT’s with better specs. Should drop the price to around 350. And even then, it is pushing too far.
It is a generic divewatch - but the colours make them pretty good summer watches. 👌
I hear what you are trying to say but you’re slightly off target. This is a GMT not a diver, despite the depth rating, but even when we get past that I would argue it’s the exact opposite of generic. Like, have you seen Tudors recent releases? lol literally monochrome and coke. It doesn’t get more generic than that. At least green and “carbonation” is different. I still won’t be purchasing though.

Top half if the dial looks great on the macro shots - hand finishing terriible. I suppose a raised sapphire bezel (which looks good in the light) to protect the dial glass has some merit but my Seiko Monster achieves the same protection with a concave raised SS bezel. Overall its just too pricey for the sum of its parts.
All the credit in the world to them for an original design.
But at this price point, I would wish for a better bracelet and clasp. There are too many microbrands/Ali Express brands that can offer more value for money.
No idea, why they opted for a black date wheel. At least colour matching with the dial I would've understood.
Quite a bright and summary colourway and summery offering. But for this kind of money I want sapphire, full stop. By the way: cocktail themed watches, never heard that before 😂
The dial is interesting. Just the thing for "Pepsi," "Coke," or "Sprite" watch. The price is out of my range.
Sapphire coated mineral is just BS for mineral crystal, I've got one of those crystals in the collection and it scratched well easy. I do like the dial design. A bit too expensive, I paid the same for an NTH and the quality of that smashes this into the weeds.
If I'm paying that much I want a unidirectional bezel, and sapphire crystal, not sapphire coated. The date window is not thought out either. The design of the bezel means you get too much reflection.
Reduce the price to a third, or expect to spend time wiping dust off of the boxes. (The box the shaker case comes in for those too dim to figure that out)

I would hope that as it's a prototype the finishing will be better in production models. Not for me but its a striking watch, I'm sure there will be a market for it.
i know it’s a different price range, but didn’t dan henry used to use sapphire-coated crystals and switched to full sapphire because there was a high rate of return due to sapphire cracking being a different material than mineral glass?
What ridiculous packaging. Actually contravenes European packaging directives about reducing unnecessary packaging. Still an interesting design and colour ways . To pricey for me.
The shaker isn’t packaging, it’s an actual shaker…the cardboard box is the packaging.
Britain is no longer in the EU so those regulations don't apply anyway. 😂 and its an actual shaker that can be used ! It's not packaging, it's a useful gift with the watch ! I think it's a great package.

The answer is that sapphire "coated" crystals are NOT very durable. Any more than "hardlex" is actually HARD.
I’ve always said there’s a price to be paid for good design, but the finishing and specs are just not enough for the price. Plus despite the bright color, the indices seem to be from a Sub and the hands are from a vintage Seamaster. I do like their distressed watches though. Thanks for the great review!
I've been aware of the brand for quite a while. One step above fashion watches is the vibe I get: overpriced, under-spec'd. Tacky is the word spinning around in my head.
Another great video and great looking concept watch however the price point at over 500 Euros and in the price in U S dollars not a winning price to pay. Think you for your excellent channel.
Brush case sides is much better in my opinion not polishing side cases..

They had Gucci and Versace BS, next to Tissot, then these, and Timex. That's it. I'm dumbfounded by the selection.

If you don't like the summer there you could always come to where I am in the Arizona desert. It was a lovely 117 F in the shade the other day, 47 C to you UK folks. But don't worry, it's a dry heat! lol
This is very close in price to watches that have the miyota gmt movement, if it was a little cheaper it would be much more tempting. The blue would be my choice as the dial is different.
I first came across this brand several years ago when I saw them advertised as one of the possibilities in those monthly watch subscription services. Always had a bad taste in my mouth for them after that

I think the bubbles fit the theme of the brand to make it look like condensation entered the watch
Unfortunately the dial texture just reminds me of when condensation gets into your watch. Not exactly the effect I like to pay for!

That clasp is out of order. The bracelet finishing is out of order. The price is out of order. This whole watch is out of order!
That price is out of order. Nodus a much better watch for a lot less. And you can get an Aragon GMT NH34 with sapphire crystal for $169.
I like the colour and bubble effect dial, but this is totally in the wrong price section unless the cocktail shaker makes magic drinks for free.

Sapphire coated isn't good enough for the price. Date wheel looks hard to read, poor colour choice. Also the brushing looks rough.

$600 for a NH3x is ridiculous since the Chinese market is providing this quality with these movements for around the $200 or less range.
Not sure why, but Italian watches never seem to get all the way there in terms of quality. Similar to Italian cars. I can't figure out why.
Love the colors but San Martin finishes watches better for less. Disappointing.
Finishing and specs seem poor for the money. Style is interesting, certainly different, reminds me of the outlandish outfits Chevy Chase and his family got in Italy in National Lampoon's European Vacation honestly. 😂

Their schtick has always been 'damaged in Italy' pre aged look, this has none of that so doesn't make sense for this brand and that 'Sapphire coated' crystal is just absurd. Add in that tragically cheap clasp and price and it's a hard no. Nice colors though.
600 bucks 😂. For half the money can you say San Martin? For a little more WISE has the Miyota travellers GMT in fabulous 904 stainless.

Hi Gary. If you are referring to the 48 click as an 'interesting choice ', well not really as it is a gmt .
Not many timezones require a 48 click bezel…most bezels are 24 click

Awful finishing, awful colour, awful pricing. You can get a titanium NH34 powered, sapphire crystal, 200M watch for $145 so why pay for this monstrosity. 😠👿

The cocktail theme for watches is Seikos thing. I like the watch but the packaging is stupid and super wasteful in today's world and metal is a massive carbon footprint issue the world faces so to have a large cocktail shaker is just plain wastfull. And while the watches look ok the price point seems high for a microbrand using a NH34 movement even if its the GMT one.

These have been around for a while, quite nice dial but it is well overpriced for the quality and specs. I'd say 350 quid max. One thing I noticed was all the bezels are lighter on the top half than the bottom half apart from the mint choc chip ones....odd!
