The fact that belal Muhammad is not on this is RIDICULOUS. He puts millions of people to sleep everytime he fights
Isn't he John Fitch's protégé?
What about the Croatian sedation Pat Miletich ?
He’s a humper
God level comment. May all lay and pray wrestlers be beaten on the feet and G&P'd endlessly in the afterlife
HAHAHHAHAJAHA
"The 10 Best Closers In MMA History"
Chael Sonnen didn't make this list because he won't let anybody get close.
you cant let it go wanderlei huh 😪
If they ever make a “top 10 comments” this comment will belong on it
Swoon
You dumb for that one
That's because the competitive aspect of the fights is over the second that Chael signs his name on the fight contract.
you guys should do “top 10 closest fights in the ufc”, the ones where there’s not really a clear winner and people keep arguing about years after
Condit vs Lawler, people still argue about it like 7 years later
#1 Bas Rutten vs. Kevin Randleman
Conor vs Nate 2
yes
Jones Gustafson
Without watching the video, I already know that the legendary finisher Belal Muhammed is number 1. Has finished every single opponent and has NEVER put a boring performance.
The peoples GOAT
🤮🤮💩🤣🤣😂
I really hope that dude gets ko'ed in his next fight.
You say all that but you remembered the NAME lol 😂
Be-Lal Moo-hum-id
Carlos Condit is a glaring omission... finished 28/32 wins (87.5%) with variety as a bonus with an almost even split between KOs and submissions. Also a WEC champion, a title he never lost, and an interim UFC champion.
Why isn't he mentioned?
Was thinking exactly this, The natural born killer lived up to his nickname.
Let’s not forget that NBK also outstruck the ultra violent Robbie Lawler by over 100 strikes and was absolutely ROBBED of the ufc championship! Definitely deserves to be on this list!!
@@nicolaspallini6338 absolutely
No Condit but they put Roidborg on here. She's a cheat, always ways.
add Jiri to the list :)
You sure he isnt here
Seriously so far in the ufc 100% finish rate... and 80+ % in total career finish by stoppage rate
@@EMal-mf9pc 86% by TKO and 10% by Sub
@@dariconable Guy is a real problem for anyone. Serious finisher
@@EMal-mf9pc he is very close to 100% finish rate not just UFC but whole career.
Now that Jiri Prochazka has just beaten Glover Teixiera for the Light Heavyweight crown, and his current record after the last win 29-3-1. He's finished 28 out of the 29 fighters he's faced, including every fight in the UFC so far. I'd like to see him fight a few more big names, but he's currently at an insane 96.5% finish rate (25 KO/TKOs - 3 Submissions).
Before he won his world title, I can see you leaving him off the list, but now that he has captured the UFC title where do you think he ranks on this list?
They weren't top level opponents though which is why he was left off the list. Jiri will likely end up topping this list if he is active and gets to show his skills against others who match up more favorably than anyone he fought prior. Like he has legit become one of my favorite fighters super quick, just doesn't have the high level competition on his resume.
Of course not taking away from Glover or Reyes, both insanely good, just not enough of those. I see it if he beats Santos and Smith and Jan in a spectacular way then that's all he needs to literally top this list in 2 years or so
@@wowf0rl1f3 That's a fair argument, and the major reason why for the moment I would have him as at least an honourable mention, or low on the list. If he defends the title 2-3 times and finishes those opponents, it will be very hard to keep him off this list. All 3 of his opponents in the UFC weren't just some guys, his first fight against Oezdemir was considered an elimination fight to see who would face Reyes for #1 contender position in the rankings at the time.
For me, whilst I understand why you would include Vitor or Anderson Silva, personally for me, if you test positive for PEDs, which both of them have, then your achievements have an asterix next to them, and you can't be included in these kinds of lists because you got caught cheating.
Same argument for GOAT. Jon Jones, Anderson Silva both disqualify themselves from that list because they both cheated by taking and being busted for PEDs.
still not on this list, for now
@@MrDarkweaver well they said PED use didn't factor in, and I agree 1000% Jiri will be top of this list if he defends with ko/tko for all or submission. Dude is an animal
Would he KO Jones? DC? Could he go up eventually?
How is the new LHW champ not on this list at least as an honorable mention. 29 wins with 1 decision. Even if you ignore pre Rizin that man is still a textbook CLOSER.
100%
“This sport has seen its fair share of finishers” (close up on Hasbulla) lmao
Conor Mcgregor Paul Craig, Alistair Overeem and JIRI PROCHAZKA definetly missing.
conor mcgregor only has 2 ufc finishes
@@3gnomesinacoat448 that's not even true tho haha. Here's the list (in no order) :
Brimage
Porier
Aldo
Alvarez
Siver
Mendes
Cerrone
Brandao
Whilst I agree he deservedly isn't on the list (despite being a great closer) as he got most of his wins in Cage Warriors, he still has finished all of his wins in the ufc with the exception of Diaz (who he dropped repeatedly in both fights). So, I don't know who you think doesn't count or if you're memory is bad but yeah, defo more than two.
Edit: forgot to mention that he didn't finish Max due to his ACL tear
@@3gnomesinacoat448 Brodie whoever told you he only had two ufc finishes should never be trusted again
@@3gnomesinacoat448 your actually a casual he has like 8
@@3gnomesinacoat448 how to say you're a casual without actually saying it
Jiri Procházka earned a spot on this list, the man never stops looking for the finish and he’s finished 28 of 29 wins…my mind was blown when he tapped glover with under 30 seconds left one of my new favourite fighters to watch
Luke Rockhold should've had an honourable mention. Win or lose it's almost always a finish
Same with rumble
I thought Jiri could be on here as well but really good list
Jiri is a little baby just wait ✋ he be on the list after some time
@@dammaguy1286 I mean he's already got like 25 finishes or something plus he's the first dude to ever sub glover which is insane considering how long Glover's been fighting, Jiri definitely deserved at least an honorable mention
@@shayonsohrab2413 28 finishes in 29 pro fights deserves a mention imo
@@7blxss and he has over 20 first round finished lmao he should be top 2
Fedor, TRT Vitor, and Wanderlei Silvia were all beast mode competition.
Like WW2 Human weapons
Wanderlei "Silvia" what a legedary carreer he had, from getting his arm snapped by frank mir to at the same time fighting in pride being a whole axe murderer. Its weird though, i swear bellator had a dupe, 1 in heavyweight and 1 was still middleweight..
even the Ferguson fight that went the distance Olives locked a perfect armbar and Tony just didn’t tap, truly the king of submissions!
I swear, sometimes it feels like Tommy can tell the future
How else can MMAOP come out with a relevant video on a UFC a day later?
they’ve been doing this for a while now, it’s prerecorded based on upcoming events/fighters and selected based on events those fighters are centered around. they released a video about fights that should have been stopped shortly after Ortega/Volk, late fight scares after Diaz/Edwards, fighters that shouldn’t have come out of retirement after Diaz/Lawler2, etc
@@anthonyhill3194 they have an uncanny way of predicting these things, then
@@qjames0077
They predict deez tings
MMA expert and alot of dedication
@@AlphaQHard Who da fuq is dat guy?
“Sean shurk, you’re dead!” That made me tear up in feeling old
Jiri has to be on here now
There has to be a part 2 for this list. Honestly surprised this wasn't a top 15 if not 20.
PLEASE! Do 10 Greatest PPV Main Events of all time!!! Jiri and Glover is definitely in top 5
jiri gotta be here, especially after last night
Appreciate all the great content from this channel 👍🏾
No matter what else he accomplishes in the rest of his career, Francis Ngannou's KO of Overeem will be on his career highlight reel. Just like Vitor's KO of Wanderlei Silva in the UFC when they were both babies. I still don't know how many punches he landed while charging Wandy across the cage.
Not going to be a popular opinion, but his highlight reel moment is absolutely his starching Stipe the second time around. Because that was the boogeyman's boogeyman. To the point that many believed that he would come undone again. Yes, he showed a different game, but then went on and did it his way again...
18 punches i think.
@@siliziwencanywa1138 His KO's of both Overeem and Miocic should both be considered his highlight reel moment. The Overeem KO is what put him on the map, the Miocic KO is what won him the belt and avenged his loss.
@@madgavin7568 I'm with you, Sir. Am I the only one who thinks he didn't even connect Overeem cleanly? Still a really sickening KO, especially when you see Overeem lying prone with his legs all stretched out straight and stiff. But it doesn't look like the full impact was there. Crazy!
18.5
If BJ would have rode off into the sunset after knocking out Hughes would have been the greatest send off but unfortunately we had to suffer watching a legend be dismantled over and over again 😢 such a sad ending to a amazing career
Oliviera is the most dangerous and versatile finisher in mma history
Mostly submissions. He has a few KO/TKO wins but his submissions are his forte, a number were club and sub wins example his win over Gaethje.
Izzy gotta get some credit for being the first fighter to finish after a fight
Bro even helped Costa finish too.
That’s wrong dude
LMAO
Lewis has 26 wins, 21 by knockout or tko....how did he only end up an honorable mention?
Yeah. I just noticed that.
I assume the reasoning is level of competition compared to the rest of the list, similar to why Manhoef is off, who has an even better percentage
Also not a champion in any relevant organization.
@@CraigsVideoList I didn't get that being a champion was really key to what this list was about.
@@Jaystub it's not exclusively but it is a weighed factor according to what the narrator says.
“The man, The myth, The testosterone” -hilarious- 😂 😂 😂
Shane Carwin deserves to be on this list
Joe Lauzon is my favorite fighter, so I appreciate the love Tommy always gives him
Vitor Belfort
The man, the myth, the testosterone.
Why am I laughing so hard at this.
Gotta love the nod to Mike Tyson's punch out when he mentioned speedrunner. I'm a huge Summoning Salt fan and he even has a world record in that game.
That nod to the tag team Strikeforce was golden
Charles didn't miss weight, the scale missed him 😂
not to brag but I'm a fast finisher as well, not in the fighting sense though
I love Chandler and his ko was awesome buy I can't feel sad seeing Tony go to sleep.
How is Jiri not on this list? Bro has 28 finishes of 29 wins and even if you total his losses he finished over 86% of his fights
not enough high level competition
Only 3 finishes worth the list 😭he’s good and everything but his competition pre Ufc was regular
Love the content lads
Jiri Prochazka needs to be on this list 28 finishes from 33 total fights 25 KO/TKO 3 Subs.
The fact that hasbullas face is in this when talking about the best closers makes it all the better fr 😂
Conor McGregor has 20 finishes/22 wins, 19 KO/TKO, 14 first round finishes but Tommy has always been biased against Conor so I’m not surprised he’s not on the list and didn’t even get an honourable mention. Jiri definitely should be on the list tho
How many of those were in top level condition?
@@jordynsharp you could make the same argument for the fighters who were included that worked for Pride. Rigged fights shouldnt count
@@thefunkiejunkies462 yeh but try convincing the team at MMAOP that 😂 they'll try to skin you alive.
Chandlers front kick was equivalent to Francis’s uppercut to Overeem, instant meme.
We as a community forget about CM punk. He opened his career with a double sided closed sigh. Legend
The Shawn Sherk you’re dead line was a nice touch
Maybe I'm wrong but I think just charles and Anderson Silva were the only fighters that fought the first four main events without letting the fight go to the 4° round.
This list is awesome
Like the "combine" joke. Smooth
Not even an honourable mention for Robbie Lawler? 76% finish rate, ufc title with defenses... Or Carlos NBK Condit?! 88% finish rate with 15 KO/TKO and 13 subs and an interim belt? Honourable mention for Mousasi with 82% finish rate, 40 out of 49 wins by stoppage, 28 KO & 12 subs, 33 1st round finishes, and Bellator/DREAM/Strike force belts?
Nor Glover Teixeira? 85% finishing rate, record for most (13) finishes in UFC LHW history, 28 out of 33 by stoppage, 18 KO and 10 subs, LHW champ?!
Nice honorable mention list.
Tommy = Automatic like button. The best narrator on You Tune imo
Do a video of ranking the top 10 fighters of all time as a youtube channel like yours obviously would cause controversy but it will teach a lot of people to respect fighters of past and now
Respect for showing the speed bag old man for .5 seconds. 👍
😂The old man at the end…😂
😂Who the hell is Colin McGregor?!😂
Conor McGregor deserves at least an honorable mention lmao
I swear I was gonna close the video cause I thought they were just gonna be talking about Conor at number one and then I forgot Charles existed 🤣
Idk how tf Justin was here but Conor wasn't. I know Justin was seen as a closer but Conor cleaned the fw division with finesse. 13 second KO of Aldo, had a 1 rd KO that was memorable, the Dustin KO that made him semi famous, the iconic Chad Mendez KO that will forever be his best looking KO imo, and of course the flawless Eddie fight. Regarding the Diaz fight (which Justin couldn't finish Tony either, didn't even drop him so it's fair) Conor deserved to be here even more than a monster like Gaethje. Justin fought some killers but also some not so good fighters and he only fought a few fighters. James and Cowboy isn't really a good look compared to what McGregor has done
1:24
Nice reference Tommy! real ones got it!
11:19 you don't even know how true that is. I became a fan after he dismantled Leben. I was watching him versus Chael at my sisters and I decided to leave as it was a clear decision win for Sonnen.
Then as I am putting my shoes on my sister yelled it's over and that Silva won. I thought she was poking fun but I went to check and I was amazed. Had to watch the replay.
We all know uncle chael won that fight
For the record.. the scene you put up for "pudding" was actually a chocolate cake. Matilda.. gotta love the 90s!
Shavkat if he can keep up his win streak against better competition. 15-0 15 Finishes
I'll be impressed if he can finish Neil Magny, that guy is frustratingly difficult to put away but if Shavkat can do it and make it look easy he's the real deal.
Francis Ngannou's loss as his "controller was disconnected". Comedy gold.
“10 straight finishes…” while it pans to where you would want to “finish”,most. 😂
5 of those 10 fighters were Brazilian. Proud of our athletes, win or lose they always entertain.
Disappointed in you Tommy. How you gonna leave off Jiri and Paul Daley? Jiri has won a decision twice out of 27 fights and Daley has like 40 knockouts
Damn fine Twin Peaks reference!
I swear t'fuck if Chucky Olives ain't here
About pissed myself at the 1:25 mark when you used an old WWE clip from Strikeforce to Bellator, however the WWE team of Strikeforce was Rick Martel and Tito Santana, the guy in the clip was Tom Zenk, which was Martels previous team the CanAm Connection. Still loved it though.
That Silva era 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. That boy was cold . Silva embarrassed a lot of ppl but I remember some fights he was getting caught up; & Then lol
Lmfao "Combined!"
Chandler reminds me of Matt Hughes.. I hope him and Conor go at it.. now tht wud be a good fight for Conor..
Bit rude to call Chandler an abusive asshole
Would like to see a "top ten fights that went the distance" video. Ie. Guida sanchez griffin Bonner etc.
JDS, Carwin, NBK should get honorable mention
A good list idea if hasn't been done already would be unexpected subs. Like a fighter is known for stand up fights and KOs but randomly pulls out a sub
"Except the Damian Maia fight but we don't talk about that"...except you do, you bring it up literally any time you talk about The Spider
Rightfully so. It was a shameful display
The man, the myth, the testosterone. hahahaha. The TRT Vito jokes make me laugh every time haha.
Love Da Bronx, I remember that debut in San Diego he made lol
Should do 10 fights that freak the boss out! That took so much damage and freaked dana out like holloway vs katter
How about the top 10 bloodiest fights? For those who feel like the Just Bleed guy on occasion...
His controller was disconnected 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
“finished the fastest” why am i not on this list
Gotta love Charlie olives!
I would have reported this video if charles wasn't no. 1
The only reason why axe murder is here is because he fought a ton of no body’s at pride.
7:15
Combined!!! 10/10 Tommy, ten outta fucking 10
Rumble has the most sub minute kos in ufc history, he should definitely be here.
Not a champ.
@@CraigsVideoList what does that have to do with the list? If we're just talking fighters that finish fights that they win, rumble belongs on the list.
@@dubya9622 level of competition and accolades in the video he said we're considered which is why the individuals he selected were on the list. The list is subjective and not exclusively statistical. He was considering finishing rate but additionally considering level of competition and championship which make it subjective.
I can't believe Aleksei Oleinik wasn't even mentioned. Dude has more subs than most fighters have fights.
Shane Carwin deserved a mention. %100 finish rate, all in the first round, just not too many fights
"Fedor Magomedov" mentioned in the timeline. I assume he's the well-known final evolution of Fedor once he moved to Dagestan. Classic.
Nice
"Hey girls. You know I can go 25 minutes without finishing?" - GSP
2010 thru 2022 is a good timeframes for recency bias to not even be a factor. It's like you said... since the start of his UFC career if you watched Charlie Olives fight and rooted for him you knew his win wasnt coming via decision. He is easily the greatest closer in MMA history.
Cannot believe a certain dude with a 97% finish rate is not here
Mcgregor is 20/22 on finishing fights and he didn't even get a mention... do the math and tell me I'm wrong. O yah, he also has 15 1st round finishes.
MVP deserves an honorable mention
My personal MMA Mt. Rushmore is Fedor, Silva, GSP and Mighty Mouse....so far. Things are always subject to change.
Paul Daley
I also have experience with quick finishes, if you know what I mean.
The lightweight champion has a name
@11:15 If you listen closely, you can hear the distant sound of Forest Griffin’s feet slapping the ground from where he’s *still* running, to this day, from his octagon exit after Silvia’s bitch slap destruction
THE SPIDER GOAT!
We know you're in the brand new office. You've been telling us for weeks, lol
The tony ko hurts so much
