Because Pastey said we should comment on what we learnt, I would do that. The first thing that struck me is taking my appearance serious... My entire family have been on this case for years, I kid you not. God had to send pastor Iren to speak to me directly. I just had zero care what I look like as long as I am comfortable. My aunt had a sincere conversation with me two weeks ago regarding this and this morning my mom brought it up. Also, I learnt that I should be intentional about training myself to associate with kings and being strategic yet gracious with my communication. Indeed honour is power. Even God esteems humility. There is no honour without a humble heart. Thank you Pastey.

Thankyou so much pastey. Very insightful thoughts shared. What stood out the most to me is the fact that 'God sees the heart of men and but men don't' and I have to add that I never thought of the part in scripture that says Jesus had favour with 'men and God', until today. My resolve is stronger to continue to honor men. Thankyou again sir

Men are a channel for favour on the earth. God blesses men with men, therefore it is important to know how to walk/work efficiently with all men.
It is essential to walk peaceably with men because not all men are like God: loving, compassionate, and has the ability to see another's heart.
    - Let honour be your normal disposition.
    - Be approachable, both physically (looks and hygiene) and attitudinally (warm, welcoming and genuinely caring).
    - Communicate efficiently, know how to speak and when to speak in any environment (consider that men are emotional).
    - Don't approach others with an entitled mindset (consider again that men are emotional).
    - Be rich in people.
    - Value influence over money.

I have heard similar teachings but I rejected it because they were filled with the wisdom of man, so much that they spoke ill of God's favor, as if favor with men was the only recipe for success, so they had no value for Spiritual things. When it seamed to work for them, they began to tell others the same and the influence of Spiritual laxity began to spread.
I love this teaching because of the balance. It doesn't give room for one to be overly conscious to please a man at the detriment of Spiritual truth.
    Thank you pastor Iren.

    2. Be a good communicator according to proverbs 15:1 A soft answer turns away wrath and words are like arrows it can hurt😢
    3. True riches are in the heart of men meaning you can be highly favoured through good character that is why prov 22 vs 1 say a good name is better than silver and gold, have a good reputation is better than being corrupt
In all He didn't mention it but don't please people and displease God for example when Daniel told himself he's not going to eat the kings meat he didn't do it rudely and tossed the plate rather he said it to with a gentle manner thereby not tanishing his reputation and gaining the heart of men

I learnt a lot of things! I’ll write a summary
First, God sees your heart, but remember that men don’t. We also need to realize that God uses men as a channel of blessing; so we need to fix up certain areas of our lives to get to the people we need to get to.
The best for me was that there are avoidable prayer points, so don’t put yourself in a situation where you’d have to pray prayers that can be avoided by just a simple change of character.

Few highlights of the truckload of things I learnt are:
    - True riches is having access to the heart of men! So profound and true, because even if you loose everything, you'll still have people beside you who can get you back up. Continually invest in people's emotional bank account genuinely.
    - Be visible intentionally. No need for playing modesty in receiving credit for what you've done (especially in our career). This is because men look at the outward appearance of things. They'd usually judge based on that.
    - Invest in your appearance. Consider it an investment to do better with your appearance.

I’m grateful to God that I came across this video.
Something that stood out to me is, “Your bad character is costing you money”.
It might seem ludicrous, but this is an honest reality.
Sometimes we forget to genuinely nurture our relationships because of the weeds that come up in life, trials, temptations, worries about the future, worries about today etc. You get so choked up with the issues of life that you forget to look up and actually notice the presence of people.
Most times it’s not an intentional disregard, it just happens.
I’ve learnt that even in such situations, I need to take a conscious step away from whatever problems I might be submerged in and still maintain / nurture my relationships.
Because that’s where your riches lie.
My tangible and intangible wealth lies in the quality of my relationships.

Be a person of service and have a heart of service.
    Be a person of competence.
Be after influence and not money.
Be a student of diplomacy and learn the balance of relating with people.
True riches is having access to the hearts of men because if you lose all you have, people you’ve been there for will aid you back on your feet.

What profound wisdom! Thank you for sharing sir.
I learned that while the Favor of God is unmerited, we have to earn the Favor of Men.
Having the right Attitude and Appearance is essential to gaining favour.
Men are emotional beings, therefore to become a beneficiary of a man I have to have made a deposit in his emotional bank account.
Finally, I learned to chase influence and not money because men are powerful and if I have the right men in my company, I can never be poor.

Thank you for this teaching, Pastey.
I learned that men are emotional. God will use men to favour you, so you can not ignore them in the guise of honouring God alone. I will always choose influence over money, given the opportunity because one can be rich in people.

    Thank you Pastor Iren.
✔️Men are emotional, so I should deposit into their emotional bank account.
    ✔️Choose influence over money.
✔️God looks at the heart but men look at outward appearance so I should never dress shabby.
    ✔️ Honour all me.
This is so timely for me. I got on the wrong side of my boss and it affected my appraisal.
These are wisdom points I will apply. Thank you so much sir.

    Honor is a currency.
    Always choose influence over money.
    Be dependable
    Invest in people.
Don’t expect to withdraw anything from a person if you have never deposited any value into their lives.
It’s not just important to have favour with God. Favour with man is also important in our earthly work.
For God to use a person, he puts him in a position of influence. We need to be able to manage that position of influence, so we don’t waste the opportunity.
    Thank you Sir🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

  • @gbenebichiechristiana8851

Thank you Pastor for these insights.
    These are what I learnt;
We only take favour from the spiritual angle but there is a man angle. True God looks at the Heart but Man looks at the outward, from the way we dress, how we communicate, our attitude goes a very long way.
I have to invest more in my people skill.
God has answered alot of prayers and they are prolly in Man's hand but poor relationship skill has caused those answer to be withheld. Be dependable, competent. Be influence oriented not money oriented. Do not expect anything from anybody when you have not deposited in their emotional bank.
Honour is a currency honor all men.
There are so much more this is just a few. A fruitful Saturday already. Thank you sir for this beautiful privilege.
