Joe is also more versatile and musically inclined and can read music. But putting that aside, this is about honoring Ed’s contributions to music one last time. Paul Gilbert would have been another great choice. But Joe is already familiar with the rest of the band, so logically……
Awesome. One of my favorite Sammy Era VH tunes - and these guys CRUSHED it. Sounds awesome. I can't wait to see it live! It's not Sam/Dave/Edward/Alex/Mike... but we can't have that. It's over. So for me.... this is the next best thing. And I dig it! Keeping it alive! Joe Smoking it! Hard to believe Sammy can still sound this good... at almost 77. Amazing. The Red Rocker 4EVER!
Many differences between Hagar and Roth but as far as singing goes Hagar understands he can't hit notes he use to. He shows restraint and just doesn't attempt them. 0:54 is a example. Roth never learned this or didn't care and would murder the song.
How sad it is to discover the bitterness of those who prefer never to hear VH's music being played live again because they cling to nitpicking that doesn't even concern them.
