    I purchased a ‘21 TRD Pro LR yesterday that came off of lease, 35K miles! Drove it back from Memphis to Tulsa and absolutely fell in love with the beast! The sound of that throaty 5.7L V8 w/ the Pro exhaust is absolutely killer! So huge and roomy inside - more so than my ‘16 LC. I just love everything about this truck…now to make room in the garage😂

Put a 2” lift up front with slightly larger than stock Nitto Ridge Grapplers and a few accessories inside and out, and I love it! Going drive it till the wheels fall off.

    I bought a 2021 tundra and there’s never been one day. I have regretted it. It’s the best vehicle I’ve ever owned and the entry price was exactly what I was hoping for a well furbished truck for under $46,000. I have a Trd off-road, limited, and it’s all I’ll ever need.

    Your candor is awesome. The Tundra is great, but certainly not perfect and you acknowledge that. And there are other things the other manufacturers do well or even better. Fanboys need to NOT take a truck review as a personal attack on their very existence. GREAT REVIEW!!

    Trucks are becoming outrageously expensive these days and I feel that most truck owners don’t actually do “truck stuff” out on the road.

    • @MeynMotorGroup
      @MeynMotorGroup  Před 3 lety +3

      Yes the purchase price for a decently equipped truck is becoming ridiculous right now. Fortunately some trucks lease well like Chevy and most home owners probably have one just haul a few things or gardening items. There's also the safety aspect I suppose so some families just use it like a sedan

    • @theAV8R
      @theAV8R Před 3 lety +3

      Totally agreed, and yet I bought a new pickup anyway to replace my 20 year old one. The only reason I did is because it's an arms race in my location; if I want my kids and I to survive being hit by a 'typical' other vehicle here, a pickup or large SUV is the only thing that'll keep us safe. I bought a truck strictly for its curb weight, and having an outdoor box/storage is a nice-to-have.
      If I lived elsewhere I'd likely drive a Yaris or a prius.

    • @MeynMotorGroup
      @MeynMotorGroup  Před 3 lety +2

      @@theAV8R totally understandable, people's driving are getting worse by the day. Our previous 2010 Tundra was in an accident when he ran a red light. He had an old Acura TL that got totaled and our Tundra just had some minor Fender repairs, air bag didn't even go off.

    I just traded in my 2017 ford raptor I bought brand new and got a used 2021 tundra platinum with 5k miles. The Reason I got rid of the Craptor with 57,000 miles on it was because the 10 speed transmission is dog shit. I have taken it to ford 6 times for repair. Got transferred from customer service person to customer service person. Also something was leaking water in it. I could never find anything wet. Ford looked at it once and gave up immediately. The smell right after a heavy rain is straight musk/mildew. I will never buy a ford again after how they treated me as a customer spending 73k on a brand new truck. I have my fingers crossed that this tundra will be as problem free as everyone says they are! Man am I glad I got rid of that Ford Raptor. It was a fun truck but the problems killed to whole vibe.

    Is leasing a trd pro still a option? And what’s with the shortages ?

    • @MeynMotorGroup
      @MeynMotorGroup  Před 3 lety

      Leasing a TRD Pro was never worth it since the money factors on the lease was always too high, if you want a TRD Pro best to finance at MSRP but don't be surprised If dealers do charge slightly over sticker. Getting even $500 off msrp right now would be a blessing.
      Chip shortage is effecting everything but I'm sure this is all some BS to raise the prices on all consumer goods. In the next few years expect to see a lot of nonsense and shortages

      @@MeynMotorGroup thanks for the info. The lease would be with all intent to purchase it outright once the term ends. Would ordering it from Toyota be more beneficial vs checking at dealerships/online searches?

    • @MeynMotorGroup
      @MeynMotorGroup  Před 3 lety

      @@mrbced21 so I never tried ordering from the Toyota website might be able to do that and have the vehicle sent to your local dealership for pick up.
      Go on leasehackr and find the Toyota broker by the name of Jim. He brokers the best Lease deals for Toyotas that I have found so far but you will have to ship the car or go to Pennsylvania and pick up the vehicle yourself.
      He may have access to TRD Pros despite the shortages since he sells so many Toyotas so you could give him a Text

    I heard the Stat was they couldn't meet a $400 emergency in cash.
    America almost gives away chances to hit it rich. People just prefer to be slaves to the system while simultaneously crying about it like no other.

      Holy sh!t I just looked it up again and in 2019 that study I mentioned actually got updated and it turns out nearly 70% of people in America have less than $1k saved.
      Yea man this to me is no joke I really hope this turns around soon. When I was in College before doing CZcams I was able to stash a decent amount flipping items on ebay.
      So you're def right there certainly are ways but I think it's really tough right now for families especially that have to feed more than 1 mouth, and housing prices keep going up, other cost of living items are going up it is hard and I genuinely hope this changes but problem seems to be getting worse year by year. Crazy

    Long ranty review...I love it lol. And the stat is that 60% of Americans don't have $1,000 in their bank account. So next time you see/hear someone flossing about their truck, just realize they're probably neck deep in debt just trying to make payments on cars and on life. Sad but true.
