Great Berea Train Show ‘23 emptied our wallets! 10/10 would do it again!

- Randy and I, along with our lifelong friend, Dan, went to day one of the Great Berea Train Show in Berea, Ohio - outside of Cleveland. We set hard and firm budgets for ourselves and then blew right past them like street-racers on the freeway at 2 am. We found some great deals on O-Scale Lionel, Atlas, MTH and K-Line trains. There were some N-Scale and G-gauge.

The Lake Erie & Midwestern Railroad is a free-lanced O Scale model railroad that takes place over the last 50 years, or so. Set in the midwest, between Chicago and Pittsburgh, the majority of action occurs in the triangle between Toledo, Cleveland and Columbus, OH. You can find modern fast freights with 6-axle GE and EMD diesels in consist as often as old Alco and Baldwin switchers shoving freight around the spurs to the various industries. It's a great hobby and we're excited to share the progress on the construction of our layout with you.
About The Great Berea Train Show:
The Great Berea Train Show, presented by the North Coast Division (Division 4) of the National Model Railroad Association, is the premier model railroad hobby show in the region. In its 48th year the show brings together 700 vendor and display tables spread over 70,000 square feet in 5 buildings. At the show you will find new and used model trains, accessories, and supplies, railroad memorabilia and collectibles, and Historical Societies and Organizations. Many of the accessories and supplies may be used in other hobbies too! Additionally, the show offers many operating model railroad layouts presented by local model railroad clubs and organizations. The layouts are anchored by Division 4’s own award winning Module Group.
Love Uncle Ray's Trains. Ray Liitten was a great person and his store basically built my last layout. Glad to see their business still going. Looks like it was a great show and you picked up some wonderful items. Hope to get to it next year.

When Goin to Train shows Stay till Closing and Spend what you like to see.
I always try to get there early and move really fast, because the good deals definitely get snatched up quickly! Then, after I'm broke - i walk back through and enjoy myself, lol

I was at that show was allot better than last year. Seen allot of o scale trains I liked but kept the budget.

I suggest you scan in on items on what you show, not just scan over what doesn't interest you. That way all modelers can see what interests them the most.
Thanks - tried to film as much as I could without missing out on the main reason I went there, which was to find some good O-Scale deals
I have a weaver tank car and a reading hopper car and I need two sets of trucks for my cars
cheaper just to find some used Weavers that are roughed up and take the trucks
@@TheLEMRRI did not think fully of doing that brother, someone was telling me that mth trucks would work as a replacement
no - they won't mount up properly. Weavers use a much smaller screw and the truck mount is at a different height
