Besides his technical excellence, I love his choices of music and choreography! La Boheme by Shae-Lynn Bourne moved me emotionally like no other. Another favourite is SL Bourne's using Philip Glass was so heart-stirring and reflective too. I also loved the fun fast ones like Caravan and Nemesis. Shae-Lynn Bourne and Nathan Chen, you're the BEST! And I also adored his early programmes like Peter & the Wolf and Rawhide!
Just Wow him and his family, Nathan is the youngest of five kids to Zhidong Chen and Hetty Wang, Chen has a sister in Silicon Valley , another working on her Ph.D. and now She is Co-founder & CTO, and two brothers - one studying aerospace and one that has a career in finance. Nathan is Word champion Skater and student at Yale.
Man i love this program so much! I try to recreate it a lot and so I notice when and where he added and took away some stuff. He added an extra toe loop in the beginning, his spins were a little slower, his step sequence was rushed, etc. and I hate that my brain automatically goes to that because I just want to watch it and say "wow"
This obviously was not his best performance, 2019 worlds and nationals are. Interestingly, when he makes his competition pieces exhibitions pieces, they seem to be slow and obviously downgraded cause the spins and jumps are not the same. Still love his performance though, gala pieces are wonderful too.

This was stars on ice japan, i think the weekend after 2019 worlds, he had two other wonderful performances but the one they broadcasted was unfortunately the one with the fall, makes it interesting though cause we have that cute face palm at the end 😂😍😂

@@RM-uc4mf They're slower because oftentimes the rinks are smaller, so he can't go all out the way he would in a full-sized rink
