He completely knew they were killing Tatum. Watch the look Billy gives him when he first turns up at the house, showing the act was complete. Also he sends Tatum to the garage and goes later for a beer. He would have found her sooner. That look at the end is a continuation of the act he was putting on moments before and he drops it about three seconds later with a huge grin. No reason to do that if he was feeling any real pain or regret.
Is called, "Popcorn Reactions," and is actually laser-focused on the status of the in-movie popcorn during that intense, opening scene. Now that's the kind of care and attention I expect from only the most quality of reactions. Gold. Pure gold. Edit: and that's honestly no sarcasm either.
I really love Stu’s reaction when Sydney runs into him at the end. You can tell he saw Tatums body and was having regrets. Then stows his emotions and reveals himself as the 2nd killer.
Fun Facts: - So when Tatum said to Dewey that the janitor is your superior its true cause the janitor at the school that was dressed as Freddy Krueger was Wes Craven lol. - Billy AND Stu were at Casey's and used their girlfriends as Alibis for being out. Stu was on the patio with Steve while Billy was in the front tormenting her on the phone. The question about "Which door am I at" was a trick question. Stu ran to the front door to let Billy in. When her mom was hearing Casey breathing you hear one talking to another saying tree and the the phone ends. - Wes Craven lol to get his actors into character emotionally like Drew and Neve right before he start to film he would run up to them and tell them something frightening or sad like dead puppies and then run off and yell action lol. Drew's emotions were legit cause of Wes and for her love for animals lol. - Roger L. Jackson was the voice of Ghostface for all of Scream. For every film the actors were never allowed to meet him before or see him during filming so that way when they were on the phone with him it would give them that real fear effect. Wes Craven always kept him hidden from the others to where they couldn't see him but he was still able to see them. He also improved a lot of his lines aswell. - They casted Skeet Ulrich as Billy and gave him the same kind of hair style cause of how close he looked like to young Johnny Depp in Nightmare on Elm Street where he also climbed through a bedroom window. - Also when he climbed through her window the first time "Fear the Reaper" was playing. He turned on her stereo so Sid wouldn't hear the noises of Stu kidnapping her father. If noticed her dad was wearing the same outfit at the end of the movie. - The news lady that was harassing Sidney "how does it feel to almost being butchered" that's Linda Blair from the Exorcist. - If look really closely when Billy was "stabbed" in the bedroom you can see Stu adding the fake blood onto the knife before wiping it off. -Casey's comment about Nightmare on Elm Street about how the first was good but the rest sucked. It's because Wes didn't direct all of the other ones lol. -Kenny actually saved Sidney in his literal final moment after his throat got slashed. He pointed to the back and told her door so she could crawl out. - Ghostface in the bathroom was a prank on Sidney it wasn't either Billy or Stu. - Rose McGowan(Tatum) was actually able to fit through the doggy door. They had to staple her shirt to the door cause she kept falling out. - When Billy hit Stu in the head with the phone it was a accident on Skeets part. The fake blood was so sticky and ended up hitting Matthew Lillard instead of the desk and that was a real reaction to it. Wes loved it so he kept it lol. Matthew also improved his lines with "Houston we have a problem" "the peer pressure" and the comment about his parents lol. - When Billy got stabbed with the umbrella the 2nd time it actually hit Skeet where he had heart surgery when he was younger that was also his real action to the pain. - Drew Barrymore was supposed to play Sidney. But she ended up changing her mind and went to Wes with a idea to have her as the open kill cause no one would expect it. Also would show if they could kill a huge star right off the bat it would mean NO ONE was safe. -Even though Billy was at sidneys for the attack. It was actually Stu who she fought with when he was tripping up the stairs you can hear ghostface saying "easy" "easy". The next day at the lockers he was checking his face in Tatums mirror for any bruises and when Tatum was hitting him with her sucker he says "easy" "easy. -Billy was always 1 handed with his killing if he had a knife if didn't he resorts to choking except for Tatum he used the opportunity with the garage door. Stu uses both hands when using the knife and resorts to other tactics if doesn't have knife. -Stu was the one that called Dewey about the abandon car and also called Randy about the principal after the whole "I'll be right back". Billy killed the principal so they can use him as a deploy for later that night to get rest of the guests to leave so the real party can began.
It was pretty obvious Billy was at least one of the killers, just look at his face 🤣. He got those crazy, serial killer eyes, with a hint of trailer trash. The writers knew too, that's why they threw in that curveball fake death scene for him to throw ppl off. Please continue with the series
You should definitely complete the series. There are only 4 movies out currently, and while 3 is a little weak they are all still really good. 2 and 4 are arguably as good as the 1st one. 5 is currently in production.
*FUN FACT* the part when Billy throws the phone and hits Stu and Stu says "you hit me with the phone, dick!" Was improvised Billy was supposed to throw the phone and break it but he accidentally hit Stu and it really did hurt and they left his reaction in the final film

Omg This made my morning! So many great one liners. And YES absolutely continue the series!!! Scream 5 comes out next January. I know so much stupid trivia to these movies. For example, the didn't have the rights to the Ghostface costume yet, so you can tell in certain scenes that the mask is slightly different in the eyes and mouth. Wes Craven homage to Hitchcock with killing the main actress first. The Scream house (stu's) is a airBNB that you can stay at that decorated from the movie. etc etc My first horror film that I ever saw, and I saw it 7 times in theater. My favorite franchise. This reaction is super timely for me. Always great commentary from Showdown. With the 25th anniversary of Scream later this year, I’m going to watch it this weekend in theater for the Fanthom Event. Didn’t get the chance to watch Scream in theaters during the original release so really looking forward to it on the big screen.

During Q&A interviews Matthew and Skeet Ulrich (Billy Loomis) laugh about it because originally Matthew audition for the role of Billy but the casting didn't believe that Sidney would date someone like Matthew to play Billy lol but they can see her with someone like Skeet to play Billy. So they gave Matthew the part of Stu But yet in real life Neve and Matthew were dating at that time lmao. So towards the end when they were fighting in his livingroom and he says to her "I always had a thing for you Sid" it was true lol.

Saw this in the theater. So much fun. I remember seeing a completely different cut of the first scene on Starz in the late 90s where you can clearly see Steve's steaming guts falling out. And the zooming shot of Casey hanging from the tree is much slower, lasting about four or five seconds, with no music, which I found so much more disturbing. I have seen this movie countless times but only saw a different cut of the opening that one time.
Kevin Williamson wrote the story, originally titled Scary Movie, and based the plot loosely on the 1990 case of the Gainesville Ripper. It was a string of murders in a small town... Then it was changed to "Scream" cause the Ghostface costume was a close resemble to the Scream painting. The Ghostface costume was originally going to be all white but Wes said it was to much like the KKK so he did the black robe with white face.

It's proven that Stu actually had feelings for Billy, you can tell by the way he acts around him and looks. Stu didn't even have a true motive, he did it because Billy wanted his help. It's not clear if Billy liked Stu back though. I think that the actor who played Billy or Stu even talked about the two, saying that they were meant to have romantic tension.

Omg This made my morning! So many great one liners. And YES absolutely continue the series!!! Scream 5 comes out next January. I know so much stupid trivia to these movies. For example, the didn't have the rights to the Ghostface costume yet, so you can tell in certain scenes that the mask is slightly different in the eyes and mouth. Wes Craven homage to Hitchcock with killing the main actress first. The Scream house (stu's) is a airBNB that you can stay at that decorated from the movie. etc etc My first horror film that I ever saw, and I saw it 7 times in theater. My favorite franchise. Scream 3 is Meh but its entertaining but 2 & 4 are both GREAT!

Saw this in the theater. So much fun. I remember seeing a completely different cut of the first scene on Starz in the late 90s where you can clearly see Steve's steaming guts falling out. And the zooming shot of Casey hanging from the tree is much slower, lasting about four or five seconds, with no music, which I found so much more disturbing. I have seen this movie countless times but only saw a different cut of the opening that one time.

Kevin Williamson wrote the story, originally titled Scary Movie, and based the plot loosely on the 1990 case of the Gainesville Ripper. It was a string of murders in a small town... Then it was changed to "Scream" cause the Ghostface costume was a close resemble to the Scream painting. The Ghostface costume was originally going to be all white but Wes said it was to much like the KKK so he did the black robe with white face.

It's proven that Stu actually had feelings for Billy, you can tell by the way he acts around him and looks. Stu didn't even have a true motive, he did it because Billy wanted his help. It's not clear if Billy liked Stu back though. I think that the actor who played Billy or Stu even talked about the two, saying that they were meant to have romantic tension.
