I need to get to his level of consciousness. Currently, I just do not understand at all how he manages to do everything he does, day in and day out without seeming exhausted or out of his element. The guy never appears encumbered. It's just insane how much knowledge he has and he's my damn age.
Denver Harbor, Lostprophets, Nine Inch Nails, AVA, Paramore...... dude has been living the dream. One of the most promising and talented young musicians out there. His solo stuff as The New Regime has been pretty good but it feels like he still has yet to release a masterpierce. Let's see what he'll bring over the years.

Wow my respect just grew for Ilan. I feel like I take on music a lot like him. I custom my guitars and just try to do whatever comes to mind. That's neat that I can relate to him.

I'm such a huge Queens of the Stone Age fan- and this guy has Queens written all over him. Ilan, please audition for the drum throne in that band. Nothing against the guys in AvA or NiN... but the one abbreviated band you NEED to be in is QOTSA. You have a giant "Q" on your bass drum. I think that means something. Thank me later... by letting me be your Drum Tech. hahaha. But seriously.
Carlo Von Sexron Maybe Ilan is expert enough to know that NIN piss all over the brilliant QOTSA. The QOTSA drumming is not super difficult. Some of the NIN drumming is. So you win silly comment of the century award. You shouldn’t belittle NIN in favour of a band who haven’t done a fraction of the things that NIN has. And Ilan Rubin called it Q Drums because of your comment. He’s Questioning your sanity I’m afraid. And NIN batter QOTSA live. Different level.
Ilan is the man! I think this just made me realize hes my fav musician!
