What makes Lolo buns different from other types of buns is the addition of the coconut milk. Also, these special and delicious buns are boiled, not baked. They taste quite similar to Chinese steamed bao.
Lolo means coconut milk or coconut cream. Yum yum!

I have baked these buns in the oven with and without the coconut milk. This bun mix is the best by far. It is soft and delicious. I highly recommend this recipe 👌

Do you add sugar to the coconut milk?
Sometimes I've seen sugar being sprinkled on the bottom of the pan. Before the buns go in.
