      Wrong version bro. Use the KJV and it become very clear the "office" is a Bishop (Pastor) not an overseer. The term "Overseer" is a generic term that can be taken out of context. Please use the KJV for better and original context. - 30 years worth of study.

      EXACTLY! I've just had a very heartbreaking experience where I've had to leave a Church that I've loved and been going to for years because they've adopted the belief that women can be pastors. Not only that, but the President of the church is now a woman! The Bible CLEARLY states that MEN are to be pastors and that MEN are to lead the church! I'm devastated about this, and now I'm looking for another church!

      So women can teach other women and children. My question is are young women allowed to talk not teach but simply talk or ask questions during youth groups or bible studies where it’s a mix of both young men and women?

    These verses are what I used to determine what church to go to. God saved me by his grace last year. I began to question what kind of church should I go to? I studied these verses and followed them as best as I understood them. I searched for churches in a 50 mile radius of my zip code. I went to each of their websites, looked up their leadership structure, and if a woman was a teaching pastor or an elder that church was crossed off the list. What horrified me was how many churches were not biblical churches. There was only a handful in a 50 mile radius. How sad.

  • @ChristCenteredMentalHealth

    I think is an issue where many within the Body of Christ really need to understand that we cannot go against God’s design because of our personal feelings or whatever. Any church that has a woman leading it as their “pastor” is literally a false church. There is no way around it and it’s distressing how many Christians are so willing to call this a “secondary issue” for the sake of unity but it’s not a secondary issue, it is a primary issue. Scripture is expressly clear on this topic and we must not attempt to redefine the words of scripture in order to appeal to the world. Feminism is a cancer in the Body of Christ.

    34 The women are to keep silent in the churches; for they are not permitted to speak, but are to subject themselves, just as the Law also says. 35 If they desire to learn anything, let them ask their own husbands at home; for it is improper for a woman to speak in church.
    1 Corinthians 14:34-35
    11 A woman must quietly receive instruction with entire submissiveness. 12 But I do not allow a woman to teach or exercise authority over a man, but to remain quiet. 13 For it was Adam who was first created, and then Eve.
    1 Timothy 2:11-13

  • @ChristCenteredMentalHealth

    I had a pastor, who is now with the Lord, say one time that the concept of a woman pastor is oxymoronic because it’s a contradiction in terms. A pastor is by definition a “husband of one woman” according to scripture. You cannot redefine that. By the way, a member of my ministry team, Chuck Ward, told me about your ministry so I decided to check you out and I like your content so I am now a new subscriber. We need more theologically solid Christians in this increasingly wicked world. Keep up the great work you do brother. I appreciate what you’re doing here and I’m gonna follow you on Facebook too. Secondly this issue is not only that Pastors are not to be female but leaders who preach and teach in the corporate setting are not to be female. This means even worship leaders.
    All are created equal. Women can minister in many ways. But God has decreed for His bride that there be a submissive order.

    Hi Jordan I have a question! My son is 14 but he has very severe autism and he is completely non verbal so he does not talk! He has the mind of a toddler!
    Anyway my church does not have women pastors however I am a Sunday School teacher and I teach kids! My son is not going to leave Sunday school when he is an adult cause he has the mind of a toddler so it is better for him to stay in Sunday school!
    My question is is it a sin for me to teach him in my Sunday school class like would Jesus at least make an exception for a mother teaching a disabled adult with the mind of a child in church? If not my pastor would have to get another Sunday school teacher who is male but my son my be upset if I am not teaching him and he is disabled and autistic!
    Again though I agree with you on women posters but please get back to me!

      Try the paleo diet. Christina McBride made that diet especially to help autistic children. Most have improvements!

      I think you are absolutely fine. Remember that women can share the Gospel and good news with anyone (Matt 28:18-20) and being a Sunday school teacher is not out of bounds because you are not having spiritual authority over people.

    Could you give your view on head covering in the church? Thanks.

    • @JordanRiley
      @JordanRiley  Před rokem +1

      Head coverings as Paul talks about it simply refers to long hair for women and how they were not to cut it short to be like men

      @@Daniel_Miller300 tithing was only for Israel, it is not for the church. The only command in scripture for the New Testament church is to give with a cheerful heart and to give what YOU have determined in your heart (2 Cor 9:7)

    If God wanted women to lead men they'd been appointed prophets, queens, & judges over his nation & written the bible. There have been women prophets such as Miriam, Isaia's wife, & others in the NT. They were still in supportive roles, not leading. Look at the proverbs 31 woman. She's busy but in her role as supporting & bringing glory to a leading man. Why do we think God needs to be challenged & reeducated on this topic? Jesus made no women appostles but he had constant interactions & assignments for women such as the woman at the well testifying to a whole city, marry at the grave sharing the resurrection... It's even written that women monetarily supported his ministry. There are plenty of ways women can serve in ministry without engaging in power struggles. God knows what he's doing & our place in the quiet as women of God is phenomenal. & those desiring to teach can teach their children & other women. I'm sure it's also fine to testify or be on worship teams but leading the flock is for men who are stable in doctrine, married, & are spiritually mature.

    1 Corinthians 14: 34-35
    Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law. And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

    I have a question: I am a female and hope to become a chaplain in the hospitals, hospices, shelters, homeless. Not to preach but to provide assistance and provide spiritual care. Is the permitted according to scripture? I been a Nurse for many years and am passionate about the homeless

      @JordanRiley  Před 7 měsíci

      Yes if you are sharing hope and the Gospel with people I think you're fine. But if you were running a church or having spiritual authority over people (men) you would be in error

      @@JordanRiley thank you so much. I have no interest in being a pastor. Women get so ticked when they are told not to preach. My experience with women pastors are limited to tv and all I see is how much they want each episode. I prefer pastors that truly are gifted and have authority such as John MacArthur and Paul washer. Also lion of Judah. But I do enjoy hitting the streets and helping the homeless. In Canada you are not allow to pray or visit patients unless you are a chaplain. Unless the church asks me to visit someone from our congregation that is in hospital. Your channel I find explains biblical truths in such a way that it resonates and makes sense to me.I recently left my church of 5 years after a woman pastor took over. I seen Benny hint’s wife talk about Holy Ghost enemas and dance like a chicken. If that qualifies as a women pastor …. I can see why the preaching should be lift to men.

    I love Jesus extremely and I try my best to obey His word and do His will. As Jesus said everyone who loves Me will keep My commandments.
    Female Pastors is something I have been wrestling with for a long time. Because when we look at the Bible Jesus had female followers as well, but the 12 disciples He chose were all men. Every verse you quoted is clearly in the bible. I just always thought that some of those scriptures were maybe used within cultural context.
    So I am here to learn. I just want to know does cultural context play any role in the Bible?
    For example this verse:👇🏻
    “For if a wife will not cover her head, then she should cut her hair short. But since it is disgraceful for a wife to cut off her hair or shave her head, let her cover her head.”
    ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭11:6‬ ‭ESV‬‬
    Are woman supposed to cover their heads when we pray?
    And then because Paul wrote most of the New Testament, and it was fully inspired by the Holy Spirit, is there a chance that some of the doctrine could be Paul’s opinion since he is just a human, or do we believe that everything he wrote came directly from the Holy Spirit?

    • @JordanRiley
      @JordanRiley  Před 2 lety

      Head covering has to do with hair and the fact that women back then wanted to cut their hair short to look like men and that was forbidden

    • @joannwilliams3979
      @joannwilliams3979 Před rokem

      Everything Pail wrote was inspired by God, Paul was called by the Will of God! Hopefully that is clear.
