- What's up Pyro's, today we take a look at my 4th of July 2023 backyard fireworks display shot yesterday on July 3rd. It took a year of buying these fireworks, weeks of research of all the fireworks I used, and 24 hours of on site setup with just me and my wife. I completely blew away the crowd and my neighbors for sure this year. Have a safe and Happy 4th of July Pyro's!

czcams.com/video/ZfpJlfZkN58/video.html - Check out the video with the audio track of what was planned if I did not have so many audio issues and then starting and stopping my cobra firing system. I was trying to get the audio back in place so my family and the audience could see what I had planned. But I should have just let my show play on and fix the music in editing. I just had put so many hours into this display that I wanted it to do so well that I was not thinking clearly and just frustrated that I made bad choices. I hope to fix this issue next year as I want to do a well timed pyromusical for my 4th of July display.

Thanks, its a lot of work to do with just 2 people in setup but its fun for those 10 minutes!! Just wish I can prevent the audio issues for next years display.

Great show T loved the mix of effects and the timing. I did not hear the music but I imagine it was good, especially since it meant a lot to you as a tribute to your uncles.
That was because this video just has the field audio so it does not include the music. I do have the video up with the audio - czcams.com/video/ZfpJlfZkN58/video.html but its a little off due to having audio issues on the shoot site and having to stop and restart my cobra firing system to try to get the audio back in the right spot. Hopefully I can learn from these issues and do better next year. I hope you had a great 4th of July JAM 750!! Maybe we will get to see some of your show if you plan to upload any on your channel.
Great show! Have you looked into getting the SMPTE upgrade for your R2. Getting that and subscribing to the show creator would probably be cheaper than getting the audio box. Also, what kind of audio system are you using? Looking to try my hand at one of these and am clueless on how big of a system one needs.
I have not looked into the SMPTE through the R2. I'm just used to using the audio box on these big pyromusicals I shoot with the firework club I'm a part of. I used a simple bluetooth speaker to not have any power issues on my shoot site. But because of the bluetooth speakers I could not quickly or easily adjust the audio track to my script during the show. So I hope to have a real audio system next year then I can look into SMPTE or an audio box from Cobra.
You use cobra firing system? If so, thoughts?
Yes those are Cobra Modules with the silicone boot covers and using the MJG ignitors. I'm not Big T, but I used the Cobra system for the first time this year. I personally cant say enough good things about it! I went from using a cheap ignition system and talon ignitors (junk) to the Cobra system and MJG ignitors and it made all the difference in the world!! With the cheap setup i had 12 finale cakes not go off last year, and this year using the Cobra system i had 100% ignition!! I'm not quite to the pyro musical stage yet, but I did successfully have a STEP/Timed show go off perfectly! I am completely sold on this system and already looking at buying a bunch more Mods!
Yeah I have used Cobra for the last 5 years or so myself. Ever since switching from the one long fuse display to firing systems. Overall I have used a FireTek firing system, the Dewey Firing system, the cheap 12 cue chinnese firing systems, and some of the $10,000+ firing systems on the 1.3 professional displays. Cobra is a nice system to have in the backyard pyro world and it does really well on the profession displays as well. The Cobra firing system is pretty easy to learn compared to others out there and your paying for quality so they are not cheap. But overall, out of the 10 firing systems I have used I prefer Cobra. I will say make sure to check on the Cyber Monday/Black Friday deals on Cobra firing system website for great starter package's and the cheapest time of the year to buy anything from Cobra.
