Tom Clancy’s The Division- The Division has change considerably since the launch of patch 1.4, and with that, the ideal composition of weapons, gear, mods, abilities and talents has also changed.
In this video, I'll give you the definitive view on how to built high-DPS characters in The Division. This isn't about ONE build being better than the rest; it's about arming you with the principles to be able to make whatever build you enjoy playing work. The stuff I talk about in this video can be applied to any DPS focused build- it is not specific to one gearset.

One of your best videos! Super clear message, nice walkthrough. I were in the ballpark at least on my build ideas but this video makes everything super clear. With the few drops I got in 1.3 I never really cared about opting gear, I were glad I got a piece for my set. Now in 1.4 one can start looking at the optimized "best in slot". It's awesome!

This vid was extremely helpful. Thanks Skillup, even before recalibrating my gear I could still see the difference in difficulty between 1.3 and 1.4 and all I've done is solo since the update.

Skill Up, personally I am loving the new 1.4 update. I had taken more than a month and a half off from the game.The game became the same old same old. However, I truly believe that the greatest improvement thru all of this. Is that a huge successful company like MASSIVE realized that they needed a hands on approach from its playing base. Allowing a group of gamers and ordinary folk to come to their facility. To get everyone together on the same page, and to bring this game once again out of darkness and to the forefront. Was a huge huge undertaking. More so, IT WORKED! This hopefully will become the new standard in gaming. That TOGETHER we can make GREATNESS! I think update 1.4 was a HOMERUN! I give everyone involved a huge KUDOS! As for you Skill up . I'm and older gamer. 48 yrs. old to be exact. I am a professional physician by day. You are the only source I go to for my gaming advise. Thank you for what you do! I'm a huge fan! Keep up the great work! To Massive.... as well as to all those involved in 1.4. GREAT JOB! A+++++++ I'm hooked! Still watching this video. This information is delivered so well. The condensed version was nice but this video gives the "why" and more in depth coverage. With just my random gear I was at 46% armor mitigation...after this I'm running alphabridge and two pc high end until I can find the nomad pcs I need and now I'm at 55% armor armor mitigation. My m60 combined with predatory, deadly, destructive I'm having a blast fine tuning this. I'm going to start building more funds to build my assault rifle build with this set up!! Thank you skill up!!
Skill up, the videos you make a just great! This one was much needed as I was wondering what numbers are good, and what to grind for in the new update. The organization and editing is so clean, enjoyable to watch, and just full of great info. Keep it going man!

I have Built a 4 piece hunters mark, 2 piece nomad mostly because I could get all the rolls on the gear you show in the video. I am now easily rolling through challenging content and melting gold mobs. Just awesome. Have made this build to replace my 1.3 main build which was a reclaimer tech build for hard carrying heroic content in 1.3 from your previous video. Thank you Skill-Up.

Just wanted to thank you for this info. As a comeback player that left the game 7 months ago because of the difficulty I am now enjoying it a lot more with this new patch. It's hard enough to balance my life between wife and kids and on top of all finding time to play at night. This video has been a life saver for me. It sucks that so many of my gear pieces were rolled in Electronics for the 1.3 Pulse/Smart Cover recipe. But 1.4 is so enjoyable that I really don't mind grinding for the new pieces.

Thanks for the video informative as always. I really like that in 1.4 you actually have the ability to kill without having to run the same builds all the time. The ability to run which ever armor set you want and still be able to enjoy the game.

Great vid as always. I knew most if it but the character Talent section was a good call. I'm running 4pc Alpha with Hungry Hog + Pakhan (Brutal, Destructive, Ferocious, Predatory, Stable, Meticulous). Just sublime laser-like gun-play that melts everything!

This was incredibly helpful. I didn't really understand the recalibration system until you explained it. Though some of it was built specifically around your play style of run right up to the enemies which is pretty much the exact opposite of mine so those bits were less than useful.

Was getting wrecked in PvE after 1.4 landed. Rolling Armour on everything made a huge difference. Will work on fine tuning weapon talents and maybe play with an Alpha Bridge build at some point.

I accidentally made my gear similar to the one you're running here and it does work better than my previous set-up when I was running with a Pakhan and Scar-H. Thanks for the video. I few more adjustments and I'll be running those same numbers.

Great call on stopping power. I've been running an M60 with stopping power since patch drop and it just shreds.

Hey Skillup. Thanks so much for this video. I just returned to the game having not played since before 1.2. I was having a hell of a time clearing stuff. Managed to get my hands on an M60 with predatory on it and switched to this build. I have no complete set pieces and just with Yellow gear changed to have the stats you described I am now clearing my way through the game. Gone from world 1 to 4 in little over 6 hours and really got a love for the game back. If not for this video I doubt i would have continued.

You have been my most important source of insight ever. All kidding aside you have handed me what has been chasing my tail since day one. Personally, I am oh, this has been the video I have been waiting for I'm big on strong foundation and build on top and that's what you've delivered in my opinion in this video.All I can say is ROCK ON DUDE? I will be completely honest and say that not only am I a 16-year-old retiree of the US in but I have also been going around and around and around in circles trying to figure out what you have just laid out before me.Since release you have been for me the one person, who mirrors exactly what I have needed. It is by far, for me, thrvsinhle best source of information to date. No,I'm not buttering you up to pop a surprise in, this I stand by since DAY ONE!Just to be clear, that does not mean by any stretch of the imagination that I have and will ignore other very very good content providers. It just means that you represent the best PvE providers I turn to. I'd kill to have 10-15 , it just means are are always thinking, as am I. That armor with enough toughness and Stamina are the best was possible way to get what you and I are targeting. I just can't get there, I pray on my recently deceased wife's honor that you are me first source of info on this game, I'm primarily solo, need to find some crew to run with and I'm stuck in the analysis paralysis mode and I'm steadily sliding backwards. I can't help but get the feeling that we think very much alike, The difference being that you can walk the talk and I can barely talk the talk let alone walk it. this video is my bible to date. I am still struggling to make it a reality as I've been in the DZ only a few times and can't go back. I'll shut up now and stoping boring everyone to tears. I just finally am getting close with this vid but the game has SO MANY caveats are intertwined. Even with my OPS background are typically math oriented brain, I freely admit that this is s monster to undertand. Sorry for rambling on but this video was the safer]ty net I needed. Do exactly this. Now, also get 3 Gears of Hunter's Faith (20% more Elite Damage) and 3 Gears of Sentry's Call (20% more Elite Damage). Nothing fancy, but straight forward and very effective. Also, gives 30% more headshot damage. The Marksman crit damage is negligible at worst, but the other three features are fantastically useful.

Thanks to this video, I was able to solo the DZ (DZ 6, at that) successfully taking on 3 or less NPCs. I avoided any and all players, rogues or otherwise for now. Even got a few good extractions in the process. Excellent Vid.

What I love about 1.4 is how it has brought back players and fun to the game, I've been a fan since day one and played through 1.3 as much as I would get frustrated I still love this game for everything that it is. and it just continues to get better! I'm really ecstatic for 1.5, and I REALLY need a headset so those ASTROS would honestly be a dream come true I've always wanted a pair of ASTRO headsets. but this is more about the game and how much 1.4 has made a huge difference in the gameplay and the thing I like most about it is that I am still grinding for gear and weapons to make my toughness and dps the best it can be.

Patch 1.4 has brought big changes to the game since 1.3, especially for solo players like me. I like what they have done on the time to kill enemy mobs and boss and how you could get more faster. More power to you skill up for providing with this kind of videos
