I love how everything in your home looks simple and practical. We seemed to get carried away in recent years with fancy stuff in homes that we don't need and break easily.
BTW, my Blaze King is much smaller than yours but I think you're supposed to stay away from opening up the stove when it's too hot; I think it's hard on the combustor, I think they don't like getting cooled off too fast. And the Blaze King operating video says not to poke a fire in a Blaze King, that you are supposed to just leave it until it gets down to embers then do a hot reload, but I don't think it's supposed to be too hot when you reload (or poke it).

Now I understand your short version of this. I am still a little envious of your home. Even though it is more work than mine.

Everyone has commented on what I saw. Quality of work is top notch, woodwork and plumbing. I would suggest were your vent and the bath trap come through the floor create a air stop. Glass insulation would work good if stuffed in tight. In the event you had a fire down stairs the fire will travel quickly up stairs through the holes. All new construction we have to air stop all holes coming through each floor with fire caulk. A fire will have to burn through the flooring which gives more time to contain the fire on a single level.

I don’t think it looked bad at all, no sticky or slimy solids, just discolored liquid. I have a 52 gallon salt water aquarium and I do water changes every 30 days, and despite that the water develops a slight smell like you mentioned just in that 30 day period. Nothing to worry or feel bad about.
Also, cool shut off valves on the pvc pipe and nice shelf between sink and toilet too!

This happens a lot with fire water piping and sprinklers in buildings. The water sits in the piping, stagnant for years because it never gets flushed. Nasty, stinky black water.

Any quick tasks outside like getting the mail, getting groceries out of the car, etc. I would do barefoot, even in the snow. I wonder if it is a Maine thing.

After seeing your bare feet in the snow, well, I know you said that your body runs hotter than normal people does, but damn, seeing the bare toes got my feet freezing 🥶, great video though, and I like the way you did the drain, good Idea for watering the plants, I saw earlier today a raised bed planter that was butted up to a house and the gutter drain elbowed into the dirt, also check out Narrowayhomestead, he has a tank that holds rain water, something to think about

I spray my sincks out with the garden hose and when I seen how slow your sink drained the pop water mix I was going to tell you to flush it out with the hose, You can blast out the trap with the hose pressure. My bathroom sink needs to be hosed every few months
