Since the Rendezvous burned down circa 1964, where was the event? Kyd

This was held at the Hyatt Regency Newport Beach--one bridge and a ferry ride away from the original Rendezvous location. On the Monday after the event, we held a dance on the Peninsula near Balboa Pier. About as close as any of will get to the original venue.
This year, we'll be in Pasadena near the Pasadena Civic Auditorium, where some original dancers have told us, kids in the 30s and 40s had high school dances and saw swing bands calbalclassic.com
