      Would you suggest Honeywell over nest or hive?

    Hey Dave, thanks for the review! It really helped me in making a decision on which one to buy. I do have one question, how did the geofencing work for you when used by multiple users? This will be my main selling point when convincing my wife we really need this, so it better works... ;)

    • @geekanoids
      @geekanoids  Před 6 lety

      Hello Rob, to be honest I only tested that feature with one user.

    Great review and was considering this but in another review I looked at it was stated that the unit doesn’t have an internal battery? Is that correct? It always has to be connected to the mains transformer unit?

    Hi Dave, great video. Does the geofence work for multiple users, for example i dont want to leave the house and heating go off if my wifes still home?

    I found this review quite helpful discovering the features. One question though; can you use it if mounten on a wired connection with the boiler, as manual thermostat if wifi would be turned of? For example does it keeps his schedule if wifi goes off at night?

    • @geekanoids
      @geekanoids  Před 3 lety

      Sorry I no longer have this to check, but think the schedule would not work.

    Hi
    Can you tell me if I can set up multiple T6s to my system so I can control the rooms separately? I currently have 5 older thermostats. I don't know if I can put more than one t6 in the app and if I can organize them as rooms.

    Hi there, have you reviewed the Hive? We are moving into a new build next Feb and would love a review if not? I have read it performs a lot better than the nest and it learns better according to your daily needs

    How does this work with a combi boiler with constant on demand? Do I use the controls on the boiler to keep the water turned on permanently? Thx

    • @geekanoids
      @geekanoids  Před 5 lety

      I have a combi boiler … this controls when the heating for radiators turns on/off. Hot water on demand works like it did before.

      I think it depends on your type of boiler. It needs to be a combination boiler. Sorry I no longer have this to check.

      Hw mode on a combi is on demand. Meaning Hot water takes priority over central heating. Plenty of modern combis have a preheat function. Meaning you get hot water much sooner. Because of the little storage tank within. I've fit plenty of the lyric T6 and T6r they're very user friendly. Hive and nest are also other options to consider. I like this as it has little for me to explain to my customers 👍

    Good video but...
    If this a fair video, then the cons need to addressed by a proper comparison to other smart thermostats.
    This can benefit the manufacturer as well as the customers investing £100’s
    This is the problem with paid reviews. A good review should consist of pro and cons.

    had this piece of crap for 6 months...I worked out how to heat the water but we are all freezing as our brand new boiler and new rads sit ice cold...the heating did not come on when i turned off timetable and tapped Plus button....don't bother phoning the helpline you get put through to Hungary..Honeywell should be ashamed of themselves to create such an awful product
