    There is something so special and captivating about the AMG GTR🤓, and I have a number of reasons as to why I would choose it, but I’m not narrow minded to the truth that the Porsche GT3 and RS version are more of the drivers car than the AMG GTR, I applaud Porsche 👏🏾👏🏾😁

    I love the way he is able to gesture with his hands without ever taking them off of the wheel. I am completely incapable of doing this.

  • @noahlugobaseballandboxing7015

    I would take the Gtr because it can be daily driven and I like road tripping my car. I also like tuning cars and the Gtr being a turbo car they are making 700hp with downpipes and a tune.

    I like the idea of a TC dial cause you can fine tune it. Kinda like a tone knob on a guitar when you're first learning you only really notice the difference at the two extremes. But the longer you play the more sensitive you become to it. Meaning the more you drive the car the more fun you can have with it🙃
    The smiley is me after I turned the TC knob all the way to zero.

      nah it doesnt sound great. that slight rumble you hear is literally all you get. that plus those stupid farts. no high revs, no drama, no loudness. it's way too tame. the car looks like 250k and sounds like 50k. i blame the turbos for it. compare this to a NA engine sound, it's not even fair

      naibafabdulkobor ha! Because Porsche. Accept no substitute. :-) I had a 944 back in the 1990s and still miss that car. The AMG strikes me as an awesome GT car that would also track well. But the GT3 RS, that’s a race car you could still enjoy on the street. I just couldn’t pass up a chance at another Porsche.
      As far as the lowly bmw, I love that car too, but it’s my wife’s. It’s got 360 hp with a Dinan chip and a nice backseat. It’s not lowly at all. It’s what we can afford, does everything a daily needs to do, and will do 0-60 in 4.2 seconds. My daily is a 2003 Passat with 169k miles. I would gladly trade up to a GT3 RS or the AMG!

      @@Jono2113 i just love these stupid commercial slogans. how can i accept no substitute if there's a Merc and then everything else? yeah, it doesn't add up does it. props to BMW for that though, at least they ignore the dick measuring word contest and just advertise the joy to drive

    What is the future for the sport car considering: Ever increasing traffic in metropolitan areas, draconian speed enforcement, displacement shrinkage, and skyrocketing prices? Are we destined to only have bimbo cars: those only trotted out for a hot lap on race day and then housed until you can flip them or trade up.

      It’s all about the experience , feel and your perception of car specs. And power underneath your foot , much more than just driving fast or taking risks on public roads . There are several reviews online on PRIUS’S and VOLVO’S

    • @bbee8829
      @bbee8829 Před 6 lety

      Blake Swan , No doom nor gloom, other than what plainly lies on the horizon. Like the burrowing owl, true sport cars may live but their habitat, the unencumbered open road, is rapidly being churned away. And the owls that survive are not the same free spirits of the air, rather caged gourmet chickens, overpriced and underflavored. Feel Better yet?

    The correct answer is GTR and GT3. They're both so different, and so magnificent. I've driven each of their little brothers (the 911 GTS and the AMG GT-S) and they're both incredible. I'd have a hard time choosing on or the other, they're both so fantastic. What they don't tell you though is that the 911 is like driving a greenhouse while the GT is like driving a coffin. The AMG has terrible visibility and you really ride "in" it, but it has a supreme road presence. If you had a gun to my head I'd chose the GT3 to drive more daily, the GTR for the weekend.

    My advice to Mercedes, go back to the 1954 300sl parameters. Of course update and modernize. Put either a kompressor or turbocharger on the straight six and watch the weight. People would sacrifice to have a car like that. At the moment, most cars are too complex and heavy.
