Normal People Who Exist Ça ma l'air d'être à peu prêt le cas
J'avoue
The French presidential election is like The Hunger Games: Only one can survive and "May the odds be ever in your favour".
melenchon is ahead of hamon
That wasn't the case 3 weeks ago though. Just goes to show how unpredictable this election is.
3 weeks ago Melenchon was still ahead of Hamon ^^
Dude this videos was made two months ago at the time Hamon was way ahead of Melenchon.
Oh, Emmanuel Macron called his party "En Marche" because its has his initials
Cleared it up nicely, thanks for the great video!
Great Visuals!
The F T can always be relied upon to provide a crystal clear exposition of events. Ms Chassany has ensured that this excellent video is no exception. I would not have complained if had been five times as long.
One person wins and all the french collectively hate on that person for the next 5 years
There is a subtlety in the National Assembly election that you got wrong : it's not with 12,5 percent of the votes that you can pass through the second round, but with 12,5 percent of people on electoral lists. Given the probably low turnout, this could have its importance.
Mélencon 19%, Hamon 6%, yeah sure Hamon was one of the favourite! Not really proffessional this video..
At the time of the video he was at 15 in the polls
ET JEAN LUC MELENCHON ALORS
TheLittleBiquette rien à foutre de Melenchiasse l'islamo-gauchiasse
@@muledoudou871 oh ta geule
Local deputies will also elect half of the Senate in September, though the Senate is relatively weak
Hey America, take notes.
WHERE IS MELENCHON ??????!!!!
THANKS ALOT
Doesnt even have JLM in the pic.........
how the hell do you mention Hamon as a frontrunner ? haha Mélenchon is going to crush him, the movement behind him will be the actual surprise of this election, once again proving polls wrong
He will probably have more than anticipated but he won't be in the second round, most people who vote for him are young idealist who have no clue about economics or working class people
hope le pen wins. visited lyon last year. i thought i was in fuckistan
Hey! Nobody thinks like you in France except the 50 years old people and some retarded youngs.
Eric justement si, la droite va gagner. La gauche est la pire des impostures. Tu vis dans quelle planète en fait ?
Now that's a good electoral system
Of course you don't talk about Mélenchon, even if he is currently 3rd/4th in polls but talk about hamon.
How surprising.
Though I'm pleasantly surprised you didn't forgot the legislatives.
Just check when this video was posted and reflect on your stupidity.
Great vid, thank.
I'm French, that's false, it's not a good explanation
Curios as to how it becomes from a two-way final race to more-than-two-way (3-way, 4-way)
A French-British accent is very sexy. Tee hee.
tee hee ?
@@veme2857 hee hee
"A French-British accent is very sexy" Stop taking the mickey out of us. XD
It’s so weird seeing the left as red and the right as blue.
Every country is like that, liberal red and conservative blue, don't know what's wrong with you americans
The narrator of this has one of the prettiest voices I’ve ever heard
This video is from the LAST election in 2017 in case you're feeling a little Groundhog Day when you watch it.
The French political system has a lot of factors from the British system while the king was still in real power. Like that the king handles foreign policy, that the king appoints a Prime Minister and Parliament can only vote the PM out but not vote for its own PM
Pretty dictatorial in a way. I mean what if we just elected a dictator every 5 years, would that also be "democratic", just because he's elected? You need to give parliament as much power as possible, while not losing too much stability
Macron made sure to make the best of what you said
What about Bon Jour Benny? How is he doing?
Confused me completely
You forgot the overseas constituencies and the constituencies for French people living abroad.
A very complex election system.
? you're joking right? it's a direct election. The one with more than half of the vote win. If no one had half of the vote, then people vote again for one of the 2 who had the most vote on the first round. Simple.
"pushback"?
it’s basically wwe of democracy cool
It's pretty easy
You guys forgot about the two REAL challengers : François Asselineau (UPR) and JeanLucMelenchon (Fi)
And all france hate macron, internet killed him
You said?
M Morkolf Jean-luck made almost 20% so he was a real challenger
You just forgot to mention the one who will win this election : Jean Luc Melenchon!
But I can't blame you if you all you do is listening to what the polls say!
France will be back soon!
You say?
lol
Only two ways
It all boils down to money and race/creed
Boy was this videos possible outcomes wrong...
I am glad macron won
Posted on the 23rd of march... but Melenchon was allready far above Hamon.
Nope
Yann Rodrigues Si si
deputy ce nest pas deputé cest assistant
I support to the France
Damn l'accent de la dame
I'm surprised. The UK hasn't left the EU yet, yet you say already France is the second largest economy in the EU, when with the UK in the EU, it's 3rd.
fe France has been the 5th world economic power for years now. the UK has "always" been behind - 6th or 7th. (I'm talking about contemporary times, the last decades)
This aged well
1:35? never held office before? 00------ never mind, old video
WHERE IS FUCKIN' MÉLENCHON!?
WHY ARENT YOU TALKING ABOUT JEAN LUC MELENCHON ???? HE GOT A WAY HIGHER SCORE THAN BENOIT HAMON AND EVERYONE KNEW THAT MELENCHON WAS GOING TO GET MORE VOTES THAN HAMON
SO DONT TALK ABOUT THINGS YOU DONT KNOW TY
Homme Sympathique C'etait fait y'a 2 mois mdr
Dont even mention JLM, this is utter garbage
Completey oriented, They iforgot Mélenchon who was in Partie Socialiste and then create his own and did 12% in the 2012 élection so you cant have missed him and there 11 candidats so that vidéo is a big wrong shortcut !
Il est où Mélenchon ? Pourquoi Hamon devant JLM ?
Melanchon?
Look at the borders of French districts, none look like a salamander.
i do not care what you said ,, why you jailed my family
When you did this video, Melenchon was already ahead of Hamon (source : www.atlantico.fr/pepites/sondage-election-presidentielle-macron-confirme-premiere-place-melenchon-double-hamon-2998062.html). Do your research.
MELENCHON 3IEM HOMMMME !
non cinquième.
LoL they socialism is regular left wing.
Tristement mon cœur Marie La Pen n'a gagné 😭
e4nd france
I call a large Macron victory in the 2nd round.
Jenny Lo Yes I know but he's not either of the two "usual" parties and people are tired of the 2 normal ones plus Fillon is rather behind in the polls due to this scandal thing hanging around his neck. I think Mélenchon will be the surprise surge candidate but in the end it will be Le Pen facing Macron.
I'm an American I want to know who this macron guy is
Jenny Lo Wouldn't necessarily disagree with you but I still think he has a large chance of being in the second round against Le Pen. If he can then attract all "moderate" voters of the centre, centre right and centre left then it *should* be in the bag for him but turnout could flounder, people could be shy Le Pen supporters, anything *could* happen, just look at the catastrophes which are Brexit and Trump...
cant stenchon the melenchon.
Jenny Lo Well you are already wrong about Round 2....
The 7-year term for the French presidency worked far better than the current 5-year term; it needs to be restored now.
Yeah, it doesn't matter if the President and the Prime Minister are from different parties.
Men and women God created only.
Why dont name the better candidat Jean-lucque Mélonchon, Macron is the same as Macron and the worst president that France ever see
you can't stenchon
The Mélenchon
Talk about Jean-Luc Mélenchon please
ASSELINEAU President ! #FREXIT
C'est loin ton utopie...
WTF is that video, totally incorrect
?
How is Hamon shown but not Mélenchon ? 😐
I think macron is the most hated person in france😂
Pools says Melenchon and LePen are worst ever!
Front National is center-right, not far-right. It is only labeled far-right by the far-left.
right/left doesn't make much sense, Macron was right all along.
Macron ? The product who agrees with everybody ? :D
Jaime Lapolitique
What's wrong with agreeing with somebody ? You think you have to do the exact opposite of everyone else ? All of them agree on a lot of things but they don't say it because they want to have a clear line between them and their opponent, Macron throws that out and say, good ideas can come from anywhere and if he agree with someone he says it and to me it's a good thing, it helps the discussion to know what you agree on, just another stupid meme against Macron that has no substance.
Filion is centre right
Fillon is hard right, even reaching as far as to steal the extreme right's discourse on immigration. Bayrou is centre-right. Juppé, in a way, though he is in the same party as Fillon, could be said to be centre-right.
Too bad you forgot the future president : Mr Mélenchon ! #JLM2017
You said?
lol
Wanting France to stay France is not far-right. GO LE PEN! VIVE LA FRANCE!
"Wanting France to stay in France is not far right ", I agree with that, but if France had opted for the far right, it would no longer be France.
I hope Le Pen wins
