This video brings me so much nostalgia. I'm 19 now, almost 20, and I used to have this specific episode with a DvD of armada in a huge ass binder of DVDs. I rewatch it over and over again and never got tired of it.

I will say, I like that throughout the Unicron Trilogy, even though he keeps flip-flopping between Megatron and Galvatron, I like that every time he returns to being Megatron after becoming Galvatron from the previous series, he looks progressively more like G1 Galvatron.
He is actually called Galvatron throughout the entire season.He never changed his name in Micron Legend after he was boosted by the Micron.
The reason why the name he’s was called Megatron was because hasbro wanted to protect the name from being trademark
Galvatron is just an upgrade form for his different armors
Hasbro Trademarks that's why he flips flops between Megatron and Galvatron.
Fun Fact: in the original Japanese version, Superlink, Megatron here is actually called Galvatron. Yeah let me explain. The whole “Megatron becoming Galvatron” after getting a new paint job was invented only for the dub. In the sub version of Armada he’s called Megatron regardless of the Re color. It wasn’t until the sub version of this series that he’d be given the name Galvatron.
The reason why in the English dub he was called Megatron and not galvatron until later was because hasbro wanted to protect their trademarks.
Also Transformers Galaxy Force/ Cybertron doesn't fall in the same continuity

@@Vilgax00 Nope in the original japanese subbed of TF galaxy force they only said that a great source of evil was sealed away and thus the black-hole was created but in the TF Superlink unicron was destroyed...in the english dubbed a alot of things were changed which didnt even existed in the original japanese subbed version..For example Side ways exists in TF galaxy force but we all know that he was destroyed inside unicron back at TF Micron legends..which proves that TF Galaxy force doesnt follow the same contuinity
@@mdjunad5771 the main reason why its completly diffrent is because the dhow changed studio. New studio was like "We will gonna do our own thing". But on paper 3 of the show are from same universe. English dub tried to fix the inconsistent issues by addresing past events,but it failed.
The problem later fixed by the in universe explanation. The explanation is that Unicrons death cost space-time to change. Affectively cost everything to change. This is why Sideswipe is still alive. This is why Starscream is completly diffrent person.
I love how Megatron is evil in the whole Unicorn Trilogy(Micron Trilogy).

While he was entombed in Unicron, he still had his Armada design, once resurrected, new body again.
Hell, a lot of them ended up with new designs for seemingly no reason as it's a sequel to Armada
I can understand upgrading from previous desings but the decepticons wer downgraded as far as I was concerned. With military based modes in armada like tank' chopper' and destroyer the new forms of missle dumptruck' snow truck and speed boat seamed bad to me. I actually thought energon alt modes wer too futuristic and prefered the more earthley look of armada.

My childhood Megatron
In Japan he was still named Galvatron in this series.
I always loved how compared to most other character redesigns from surviving cast members, Megatron felt more like he built this body around his original skeleton. He has details that match up to his original self's corpse from Armada, like the gears that make up his trapezius, his enormous shoulderpads, the length of his horns, and the rotating gun assembly on his back. It feels less like he just scanned a new altmode and more that he's manually altered his body based on what was available and used part of the wall he was stuck to to make his wings.

I agree, that and Megatron‘s design, which had the same shape arms, and new horns under what was left under his old head, and then the torso improvement, shoulder canons, side canon tank (reference to old design), and the rest was fully custom.
Cylonus‘s Upper leg was a lot shorter, making him slightly shorter when he was on the ground again. Demolisher had a last minute toy redesign, and is clearly based to match Cyclonus, but had more independence to try to base to Demolisher‘s theme and somewhat body, yet an entirely different style. And then Tidalwave becoming Mirage he is so much smaller and not super Over Powered like before. Barading the autobots all on his own.
The Anime definetly over glorified every problem that looked so wrong but felt so right, because it was highly action and flashy based.
I like to say one thing: Even though this show sucks, this version of Megatron is AWESOME!!

This version of Megatron design looks so much better than reusing the the cartoon model of Ariel that doesn't look like Melody with some slight modifications as well as that it's like a repaint of the hair color
For all the faults and criticisms, valid criticisms, there’s no denying Megatron’s Resurrection was awesome.

This was a poor follow up to armada. At the end if that show megatron didn't want to live. He accepted his loss for the better good died so the war would end and that the hate that kept unicron alive wouldn't exist. WHY would he want to be revived he chose death. And the decepticons were on good terms with the autobots rebuilding cypertron. It's stupid that megatron comes back and just wants to resume the Chaos even though he was essentially redeemed at the end saying that prime was the rightful ruler.
Well, he’s been resurrected by Unicron’s power so that will mess him up.

One of the great mysteries of life that baffles me to this day: the initial airing of this episode on Cartoon Network actually featured the completed animation from the Superlink episode during the sequence where Megatron awakens. Yet somehow, the most widely circulated Energon versions of the same episode from then on features the blatantly unfinished psuedo-slideshow seen here. Even on the home video release. Truly bizarre.

This show was a little goofy but hammered home just how much of a big deal Megatron coming back to life was, and making scary again in the process.

In spite of the questionable "quality" of this particular series, it at least has one of the most threatening versions of Megatron to date. His resurrection is met with dread by all parties involved, his jet form is built like a tank that can be fast too, his plans more often is meet with success or leaves the Autobots worse for wear, almost no one except Optimus Prime can stand against him in a fight, and most dangerous of all he can corrupt other Transformers by branding them with the Decepticon insignia. Wish the rest of the series was just as good.

Because they needed the Canadian cast members for the English dub and Transformers Japanese anime shows like Armada Cybertron and Energon for the USA and Canada and also other countries that have English because the people who speak Japanese. The revenge of Megatron is back on track, after Megatron sacrifices, after the war against Optimus Prime and finally dies. But his spark still intact thanks to Scorponok sword.

Trademark Concerns. They wanted to make sure to retain the rights to the name Megatron. In Japan he actually stays Megatron in Armada after his upgrade, and gets reborn as Galvatron here.
I was sort of wondering about that. It just seamed like they called him Megatron cause that was his overall name or something. Sence this is a sequel to armada I figured he should have ben called Galvitron but just asumed they called him Megatron cause he would power up to Galvitron later.

@@arslan7108 Energon was made from the ground up as a sequel to armada I think were cybertron was an adaptation of galaxy force that was not a sequel to energon so it seams more of an issue here. Ever sence the animated movie Megatron has ben powering up to Galvitron with a new color sceam on the same mold wares movie Galvatron was a comepleteley new form with an added transrmation. But reusing that gimic constantley ment he was Megatron to Galvatron with the powerup then he was Megatron again in the next show and powered up again. It was a bit awkward. I mean when Hotshot powered up from the minicons in armada and then the energon he kept his name so that would have bin a better idia then changing his name everry show I guess.

what ever happend to the voice actors for optimus and megatron on this show. these are the optimus and megatron i grew up with. After the show cybertron the voice actors were replaced by the gay voices from animated and then now Peter cullen and Frank wellker ( who r awsome voice actors) but i miss these voices.
