    I had this press for going on two years, but rarely use the press itself. Came here for a quick refresher course and your video do the trick. I am a Northeast Louisiana native, now living in San Antonio, so it was refreshing to find the video from someone in Central Louisiana. Keep it up. Thank you.

    I have one on the way. I drink cacao (coarsely ground cocoa beans) and there are days when I want to take it on the run. Thanks for showing me how to do this!
    I got it Monday & took it to work with 1/4 cup of cacao (2 T. for 8 oz.) and a scoop of collagen in the bottom. I made it on my last break (5 a.m.) & it was still hot when I left work. Will be using it a lot!

    You look into the Stanley Adventure Brew Set yet? I think it also might go by the Steel Pot + French Press... 32ounce single walled pot with French Press insert that will Press even finely ground beans without leaving a mouthful of grounds to drink. The capacity is awesome for 2 true coffee drinkers to make it through breakfast lol. Check it out man it’s another Stanley winner!

    I just got the Bodum French press mug. I really wanted this one, but I went for the faster delivery and it's really not that good at all. It lets lots of grounds get into the coffee, no good...
    I wish I would've bought this one when I seen it at Walmart a few months back for only $20. I'm definitely gonna order this Stanley one soon.

    The coffee debris still remain at the bottom unless u drink up all isn’t it’s design has problem?otherwise u have to pour it to another container so what the point it’s thermos if like that

  • @rahubba1
    @rahubba1 Před 4 lety +2

    Press works (worked) great. Thermos retains heat for a VERY long time. If you actually use the thermos on a regular basis, the plastic lid is the weak point in the entire mug. After a year of nearly daily use, the threads on the plastic lid began to wear out to the point of being stripped. After pouring hot water in the mug and trying to seal the lid, the top would pop (literally explode) off. After trying to screw on the lid now, the threads will not provide a secure fit. I really liked this mug for the heat retention. Unfortunately, Stanley needs to use a higher grade of plastic, or find some other stronger material for the lid.

    1. Let it sit for 4 minuets
    2. Stir the top junk off ONLY
    3. Let sit for 4 more minutes
    4. PRESS BUT NOT ALL THE WAY DOWN
    I love mine, but do not push it to the bottom, just until you can pour it

  • @jekpapa

    I just purchased and had my first cup. Pretty good and definitely easy but I think my Aero press is a little better tasting. Biggest problem is cleanup. All the grounds at the bottom . Not supposed to rinse grounds down the sink and they don’t come out easily. Maybe someone has a method to share.

    • @jekpapa
      @jekpapa Před 2 lety +2

      @@xavierlugo5296 They don't break down and can clog the pipes. It's generally not recommended. By the way I bought a strainer and just rinse them out of the Stanley through the strainer. then dispose of them in the trash. Easy as could be.

    200 degrees for coffee, about 20 seconds or so gets you off the boil to 200 degrees, good instant coffee is just so expensive, worst, price goes up if individual packages, worth the weight just for the savings.
