Built my first cabin years ago, took 3 nearly 4 years to construct, but it was all worth it. Times like these out in the middle of nowhere, no service, no people, just you and your thoughts are always the most relaxing and serene. I’ve always found I reconnect with myself out there 40 miles from civilization, I have time and space to disconnect from modern reality and be in my own company, something I’ve learned to enjoy immensely! Good on you brother, looks like a comfortable place to stay and those sleeps out in the woods are the best of your life!
I just camp with a large tent
Muito bom. É uma terapia. A gente têm que sair dessa vida estressante. Dar um tempo no celular; computador. Viver a vida.
@@paulinogiraldellifilho7769 amem
@@tonydang772 that’s good idea with a big tent you can move and change location every second night 👍👍👍
My favorite thing is being out miles away from everything. I strap my hammock up, burn nag champa incense, and play my guitar. Some of the most perfect times I ever had. My best memory is hanging my hammock so low I could touch the ground by swinging too hard, and I woke up in the morning in it in the middle of a beautiful grove at the bottom of a small hill with tall waving grass moving in unison like ocean waves. The clouds and open sky were so balanced and equally distributed, the cool gentle breeze blowing through the ground under the trees and the distant birds chirping. I’ve never been so close to heaven in my life.
I like this format, besides the content. It's plain, simple and no background crappy music to distract. Peace and quiet in the woods is good for us. Thanks. Wish I had a place like this.
I am a carpenter and I built my own house . This is an interesting concept. As quiet as the video is though, I believe that he didn't saw all those logs himself but used a chainsaw.
Yeah... There's so much yapping, yelling, screaming and just noise on YT any more. This was a nice change.
@@Jimmy-Pie Who else could have seen him saw the logs? Wouldn't that be chainseen and not chainsaw?
@Always Watching yeah but it’s not crappy background sound… but more serene!😀
@Always Watching que vai acontecer nada
Love this...it's so peaceful, no talking. It's something about quiet that gives these videos such a relaxing vibe. Good job.
We had something like this in Pennsylvania and it was always cold by the door. We added a small entrance foyer with an additional door and it was amazing how much warmer it kept it inside.
.
When I was a kid my dad lived in Penn Hills and this is what it felt like every day. Pennsylvania needs to fix its damn roads tho they friggin suck
When we were becoming adults, one of my friends built himself a little box out of scrap wood from the construction site we worked on. It was enough space for a homemade wood stove and an adult to lay down inside of. He had a lightbulb that he powered with a car battery that charged with a solar panel. The simplicity of it really impressed me. It got him through multiple winters. Today he has a real home and a beautiful family.
So either the family is not real, or the home is not beautiful?

I think one of the main reasons why people like these kind of videos is the silence. We have so much noise in our lives now with cities and technology. When was the last time you spent an hour without hearing anything but your own breathing?
Exactly the woods are so quiet
If the woods are quiet, tis because you are loud.
I live in a fairly quiet location esp'ly compared to my last place. There I had a local airport a block away, was under the landing pattern to Harrisburg,Pa's airport, had a busy street out front, and was half a block from the railroad. Lol! I go there now and just cringe!
Went on a 2 night solo camping trip. Second night it stormed so bad. I think everyone should do a solo camping trip once in their life.
I do it every day, for years.
i am envious just watching this...the peace and quality of the time away from the buzz of everyday life.....to just chill and not be bothered about time itself...amazing.

Fascinating build, and a throwback to the times when such dwellings were built as a necessity rather than as a project. With another five or six dugouts, I can imagine a settlement, as it might have been, many years ago. Very well done on the build too, as these skills are totally relevant in the present day also.
@T Rt Better than having a small house with windows in a wooded area. Anything away from the city outside of prying eyes gets vandalized.
there was never such a settlement lol

Build a House in the Backyardigans
When I was in my early 20's, I used to help build these mini cabins made out of popular trees. Those had nice straight wood. The roofs would leak, so we used plywood. We had our fires outside the cabin. Popular place to hang out, drink some beers, and jam on acoustic guitars. We had a trail to the cabin and we normally rode on dirt bikes.
A good little getaway from the hustle and bustle!🥰
Oh how I miss this. Too old now. I would go into the woods with a basha and hammock. Becoming awake in the morning was wonderful. What a sight to see.

When you return to the dugout after weeks away you should always ventilate for 30-45 mins before entering. Mice would love this dugout and Hantavirus is no joke.

What do you mean ventilate? I'm not to dum but it sounds like it might have something to do with heat maby?

As someone who hikes frequently and usually alone, I can fully appreciate why you build shelters like this. The quiet format without any background music or talking adds to your video. If people have questions about one part of the video then they can ask questions. I come home to a "proper" house on 6 acres but it is also bermed on three sides and I heat with wood so my home has some of the feelings of your shelter. That still doesn't stop me from wanting to have this type of dugout in other areas.

😂 Yes it’s on…Thank you for another great video.
oh man does this place look cozy and peaceful
I love when my cousin is at my house because I live in dense forestry just like this and he lives in the big city and is in bad places so when he comes to visit me he feels free relaxed reconnect with his inner self and that's just what a lot of people need
I'd love this. Maybe not in the dead of winter but I'd love it any other season.
