Don’t fear the Miku
There was already a vaguely dystopian mood to this song, but having it sung by a JPop robot just accentuates that to an absurd degree.
It captures a certain feeling from 90's cyberpunk anime like Ghost In The Shell and Boogiepop Phantom. Bright lights, big city, crowds of people, constant change, infinite possibilities of technology to connect with others and transform yourself - but also emptiness, alienation. Not just from other people but your own humanity.

My headcannon is that Miku is now washup and now doing odd jobs such as making Music covers and meme content but now more happy as she can express herself more freely and is not tied to a industry.
There are still vocaloid composers that use Hatsune Miku, but they do way less idol-style songs

I'm amazed! It's all just so perfectly insync with the music. I can't take my eyes off her. Even more amazing is that her dance moves actually change throughout the course of the song. It'd be incredible enough just to synchronize one set of moves that perfectly, but to keep changing them up like that...

I believe in the software used to produce lyrics with Miku, there is an option for breaths and whatnot alongside other vocal techniques

Growing up in the 90s and early 2000s Miku was my guilty pleasure of music, her and all the vocaloids were. As I grew older I grew out of vocaloids for a long while, after finishing college and getting a few years of work and military service under my belt, I discovered people like Astro, Sewerslvt and many others. They often use voices and audio from silent hill, Lain, and so on. But something about Astro Remixing songs with Miku feels different. As if Miku never stopped making music, or like rediscovering an old album covered in dust. It brings back such a level of nostalgia and feelings that it’s as if she has grown with many of us. As if she too misses those old days.
Regardless amazing and emotional work again Astro!
Ah, but Miku never did stop making music. She's merely reached that point where she doesn't feel she needs to make just mainstream pop, and can really experiment and push boundaries.
Miku was in the late 2000s-mid 2010s? I’m confused.
You might wanna take a look through the 2010s Japanese Vocaloid scene, some amazing stuff came out since and a lot of og vocaloid artists transitioned to jpop proper (ryo, hachi, etc.), so you might wanna check them out too.
All of these Miku covers are just delightful. I grew up with 80's New Wave and it's crazy to think I'm here in the future listening to a vocal program anime-girl singing some of my favorite tracks. Still crossing my fingers for a Miku x DEVO crossover someday. She'd fit so well.
I remember that you used to find a bit-tune cover of Jocko Homo with Hatsune Miku providing vocals.
There were also Luka covers of some DEVO songs. Uncontrollable Urge and Jerkin Back ‘n’ Forth for instance.

My mind is pouring out so many words, so many compliments to give to you. The off-tune nature of Bernard’s voice being replicated in such a subtle way. The wonderful remaking of the instrumentals. I especially like how you did the bass guitar. The visuals, which are partly sampled from the official lyric video, have miku syncing up to the percussion in such a wonderful way. It’s really mind blowing. How. Why does this work so well.

Brilliant cover! Manages to stay true to the hypnotic, dynamo-like synth of the original while still doing a lot of new, interesting and appealing things with the melody. Manages to even build on the original in some ways without the song becoming too cluttered! The background elements are super good too, I adore how at first glance Miku's poses might seem random but if you pay close attention there are different repeating patterns throughout the song, giving a method to the madness.
Talking personally, Blue Monday was probably the most important song of my adolescence, and I listened to it to OBSESSION. It really cemented my love for all things synth and got me into a ton of groups I'd have otherwise overlooked. Heck, I'd even argue its influence helped shaped several aspects of who I am now, in some indirect ways! Even without such a deep personal bias, though, I'd say this cover absolutely blows the original out of the water. Will have to look back into the tunes you've been making, it's been a while!

PLEEEASE Make a cover with a Joy Division song...!! this is immaculate as always, love your other New Order cover too! I've loved Vocaloid, Miku especially, since I was like 10 and I'm 22 now and I love 70s-90s music too so whenever you upload a cover its always such a treat, like a dream come true! I know exactly how hard Vocaloid can be to use, ESPECIALLY Miku English's voicebank, so the fact that this end product can sound so good, so natural, and mixed so well, it's almost inconceivable to me!
