The game had me wondering If I missed out on something. Spent 2 and a half hours just dragging/towing one load of bricks through the mud. Next corner the same thing...finally got me a 4wd

@@deathmachineyt3254 Absolutely agreed. Always said that having highway vehicles w/ highway tires makes no sense in a game about offroading. Sure, there's physical roads that they'd be useful on but let's be honest... they're just a waste

I’m a new player and I appreciate this video. I have experimented something in rescuing the Tayga that only took me 1 trip. When I bought the Azov I went to Taymyr with the Scout 800, bought the roof rack for the Scout, and bought that thing to put on the back of Azov where you earn repair points, spare wheels, etc. (forgot what it’s called). Then bought a fuel tank trailer of course. Then before travelling, I winched the Scout 800 to Azov then started travelling. I was shocked that the plan worked out in one trip. Thank you sir for all the tips much appreciated!

Imo I need to experience the whole game for what it is so I use the trucks that I can get in Michigan and don’t sell my dlc trucks to get extra money. Just the way I play, recommend it.

are you playing the hard mode? cause i recently started on easy and it got boring really fast with free fuel and recoveries, once I switched to the hard mode the game got really interesting and more "realistic", Urska River is hard AF though

Why would you sell the DLC trucks anyway?! the Cat especially is fkn amazing once you unlock AWD for it and good tires
For the taiga, if you can use the “switch vehicles” button in the same menu you refuel, you could also just get into the taiga and recover to the garage, repairing and refueling automatically
Doesn't work on this specific vehicle, if I remember correctly. Gotta repair first and then you can recover.

I played this game for 6.5 hours before looking up how to play, thinking that this game was shit. I would get stuck on every nook and cranny that there was, even if it was a puddle. I don't know why a game would bully you so hard so early on. I played 6.5 hours before I completed my first contract. Actually really annoying. Thank you for this guide.
Glad my video stopped you from quitting the game. I agree it’s unnecessarily difficult at the beginning especially when you don’t know all the mechanics of the game but once you know what’s what it’s a really fun game. Enjoy
Yeah they don’t really hold your hand. It is REALLY grindy early on if you don’t know what you’re doing - like me. Took me a few solid days of fucking around before I figured everything out and started doing that Food Delivery mission at the farm over and over again to rack up cash and experience, then things started moving.

starter GMC is a good learning tool how to drive and use winch, bc without those skills you going nowhere :) i transported a lot of bricks thru that mudy road you showed and winch my way out like a freaking spiderman :D

Tried a lot of methods to deal with starters trucks, in the end i thought that either they just sucks or i need to level up and use mud tyres. But now im sure that i can sell them without any problem and buy something decent.

Honestly you could probably do the recovery mission in less trips if you buy the scout service trailer cause that comes with a lot of gas and parts, though I’m not sure if it has spare tires in it. Also personally between the GMC and the Fleetstar I’d go with the latter because it has awd and diff lock from the get go which makes it much more reliable in mud than the other truck. My dad had me sell both of the anniversary trucks you get and use that money to buy a Paystar or whatever it is but to be honest I’m not a fan cause it gets tipsy really easily, especially if you install the raised suspension and I’ve had to use the Fleetstar to save it more times than I’d like

@@explorationofgames i used the avoz with the repair unit to recover the tayga. Used the fuel from my azov aswell, worked great, had the tayga in 5 minutes

It was a pain no doubt but I played without selling any of my trucks. When I got the upgraded 4x4 truck at the beginning was awesome, then at level 6 I was able to upgrade to the better tires it was great. It was painful and a lot of work, but I like a challenge. If you do it with the orginal trucks upgrade the winch on the 4.x4 truck that you get at the beginning of the game.
You know there is a hard mode recently added to the game if you like the challenge ;)

That first truck got a free awd part in the wood in front of the garage at the beginning ... with that it also give the option to lock your diff and then become one of the best starter truck in the game.
Without offroad tires thats still pretty much useless. I bought the awd upgrade and the diff lock upgrade for the first truck. Yea sure it become better on offroad. But its limits are watered mud and snow mud. It cant climb those with the original highway tires. No chance

So the international lodestar 1700 has a 400 repair kit and Is his difficult to get the Tayga 6436 but is worth it because I just did that and completely fixed it but not so much fuel is something you have to go back and forth

The thing is that pretty much all the trucks in the game are good however they need to be upgraded to be good unlike those two I showed in the video. So if you have upgrades then there is way more trucks to choose from ;)
If you have the Azov, why faff around? Just take it up there and tow the Tayga to the garage then cycle the maintenance add on till it's fixed. It's a pretty easy pull with the Azov
I've spent more than 35 hours basically just treading water by trying to use the default trucks.
Can't tell you how many times I had to recover them because I was stuck.
I'm firing up the game now in order to buy the Azov. Should return the fun to the game for me.

if I have enough credits to get the Tayga without having to do 3 x scout truck trips, what would be a good vehicle to do it with? Something that can carry enough add-ons to carry all the supplies it needs obviously - but then maybe that mans a really big truck which could get stuck? So many choices, so little knowledge!!
Personally I think it’s easier to use a scout without any trailers and just do couple of trips instead of trying to do that in one go because in my experience you’re way more likely to get stuck and something will go wrong ;) either way good luck

This is a helpful video, but I think you did a disservice to the Fleetstar. You show your Azov and Tayga going through with AWD and Diff Lock, but no AWD or Diff Lock for the Fleetstar. The game gives you the AWD upgrade right in front of the truck at the garage, and it comes with Diff Lock when in low gear. With those turned on, it does miles better than you show it at the beginning of the video. I'm not saying it's better than the other trucks you show, just that it's not as bad as you make it look.
Just realized you are using GMC not Fleetstar. Why not use Fleetstar?
the idea was to compare stock trucks, a lot of people get frustrated at the beginning of this game so i wanted to show why theyre getting frustrated by showing stock GMC and show them that there are better trucks even when theyre stock, youre right that Fleetstar with awd is way better than stock however its still not Tayga or Azov level, and to be honest every truck in the game when upgraded is decent, i wanted to give people "easy" fix by showing how to get 2 best trucks (base game) at the very beginning ;)
all i did was buy two free dlc that gave me two trucks and one cost 79 k and one cost 170k and and this gave me a huge headstart and i bought the pacific p12 instead cuz i love that truck

Is there a way of finding out without having to remeber, what is on the various trailer's one finds with stuff on them through out the game. The game records where they are, but not what's on them.
Yes and no. Let me explain. If you already discovered given trailer (you get the message in the centre of the screen “new trailer discovered” ) then at any time you can go to your map and look at the list of all your vehicles and billions on this map, there should be that trailer and if you click on it, it will show you its position on the map with the icons representing its cargo. That’s true but I didn’t want to include paid dlc vehicles as not everyone has them and at the time there was none free dlc vehicles. But of course if you have them then it’s much easier to sell them ;)

How do you find the map? I'm new to the game
I personally use the two Voron trucks (I think they're from the DLC, I can't remember, but I don't remember seeing them in the base game and I'm too lazy to get back on and check lmao) They both have non-disengageagle AWD and Difflock while being smaller but just as powerful (if not more) than the starter trucks. I also only use the Pacific P16 to pull heavy trailers. It's so powerful it doesn't even need AWD
Yes they’re very good too however I feel like they need proper tyres which you unlock later on to really shine. And p16 is a beast
Good thing is that you are able to equipt them with AT's from the start.
I have the game, I tried playing it for a while, I could never get over the steering. It seems like it's always on a delay. I have ps4 have you heard this complaint before and if so do you have any suggestions?
It’s not delayed it just behaves like a steering wheel. Let me explain. In most driving games when you use your analog to go left the car goes left if you move analog to the right it reacts instantly to go to the right which is not like the real steering works. Imagine you hold the steering wheel if you fully turn it to the right you won’t just instantly fully turn the the left it takes a few seconds and that’s what they did in this game. It’s like you moving analog tells your “hands in the game” to start turning left out right but it won’t happen instantly. To understand it better is best if you look at your wheels when your moving your analog then you will understand. Hope that helps ;)
or... get the scout 800 from michigan, upgrade tyres, roof rack and then you can use that?
I might remember it wrong to be honest but I think that the tyres for scout 800 require higher level 🤔
@@explorationofgames you can get the 28" AT tyres straight away as well as the roof rack. The scout does tip over a lot but I found it to be quicker. Great video btw!
I had to refuel it completely to complete that mission… 300l?! I needed to buy that scout trailer with 900l to get that job done. But worh the effort.🤘
That truck starts to lose fuel as soon as you activate the mission. So if you just activate it and didn’t fix fuel tank straight away then yes it will lose all its fuel. I’m glad you like the truck though :)

honestly my biggest issue is steering. i always somehow go super far and have to press the opposite key to try and not go off the road, and it’s an endless cycle.
Go into your settings menu and change the steering setting to Steering Wheel. It'll auto recenter the tires when you let go of the steering.

i need help when i press new game new campaign and when i press on the slots its says Level is not downloaded yet. please wait until it will be fully downloaded. i cant play the game at all and i just got it
I might be wrong but it sounds like your game haven’t fully downloaded yet including DLCs and so on. Just give it more time and close the game so it will download quicker

Not sure exactly what you’re asking about. If you’re asking about the vehicles I sold in the video then you get them but finishing the tutorial it’s impossible to miss it.
