I love how when he gets lit up, his teammates rarely come to his aid. Pretty telling of what kind of guy everyone thinks he is
its cuz the play still goes on until the whistle is blown, in most of the clips the whistle isnt blown so his team keeps playing on rather than going to him cuz if they go to him, its one less player on defence or attack or wtv. I agree he is a rough player but you gotta do wat u gotta do, we shouldnt judge players on their time on the ice, they are desparate for the win on the ice so they are ready to do wtv it takes.(i dotn mean ANY of this in a rude way)

This video also does a great job of showing how the refs just see something out of the corner of their eye, then they just give a penalty to whoever is still standing... like he went after Draisityl with a lateish check and just got stood up and that draws a penalty? There's no penalty for standing your ground while being checked...
