- On critical applications such as a carb mount or a clamshell engine mount, I say Yes! It’s ok to mock up a screw line I did to test the equipment but get the right hardware before you give it to the customer. You may save yourself a call back!
FYI the Stihl 9022-341-1220 M5 x 0.8 x 48 was $2.49 USD and my dealer got it in one day! - Zábava
Like you said ken sir good to help you in a pinch , but to get the right hardware for it to hold it secure with those serrated on there .
Great advice mate
Good call to replace that bolt
Nice tip Ken, thanks. 👍
Great job on the bolt replacement and the temp fix
Great advice Ken mate
Definitely so on something like this. That vibration takes a toll on these pretty badly. It will not hold on forever without the oem serrations to keep it from backing out. Thanks for the video!
Exactly!
Great info Ken
Good one Ken 👍🏻
When ever I scrap Stihl machinery, I save the fasteners as they cost about 80p each. 10 fasteners, that's £8
The very reason i keep screws and nuts and bolts from stuff I’m scrapping
It sure helps to have a bolt bin and be able to find whatever you need!
Great info Ken!
Thanks for watching!
