Can we also add that not only is she extremely talented, but she also works extremely hard at her craft. Her success as she grows up can not be attributed to her God given talent only. Let’s give a lot of credit to Angelina to be willing to work hard to achieve her dreams.
When I first discovered Angelina Jordan three years ago, I was amazed by the maturity of this little girls voice.
And, to be honest, I thought my enthusiasm would stop, when she gets older and that surprising "little girl factor" disappears.
How wrong I was...!!!

Her voice is beautiful. She puts so much feeling in this song. I love the peace. May you have a merry Christmas she will be a star.
Uncanny...how she terminates words and phrases with such precision and subtle beauty.
Angelina just lets her musicality dominate her singing, and it’s stunning. She doesn’t sound like anyone else because she doesn’t need to follow what’s been done in past. I don’t expect a raspy voice for a religious song, but she delivers this with such emotion and authenticity that, like many of her songs, I don’t think I’ve ever heard a better version. She sings the word “evermore” as part of the chorus several times, and the richness of her voice and phrasing is uplifting and chilling at the same time. Just beautiful.
Her version of Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas is truly stunning!
She is such a gift to us all...as are you beautiful lady..

Hi Schnell. I'm Danilo. Remember me? I'm a subscriber. I was in kongsberg with Chris Walker and Alan Papier. The loud voice from the audience...... getting us crazy. Remember? Yes, we're lucky. I feel lucky. I recently retired and I was thinking to myself: now what? I was facing a long(hopefully)time of absolutly unbearable BORED0ME. Then, 3 years ago, Angelina found me. Whatever amount of time I've got left, it'll be MAGIC. Tricks, thechnics. I guess, correct me if I'm wrong, you are referring to her genious in bending the vowels,streching or cutting a syllable or a consonant, riffing into a single note butterflying around it to give us the Essence of the song. She's not only a great singer, She's a great " Story Teller". That's what I like most of her.

Schnell, so glad you reacted to this classic from Angelina. I'd like to mention two things: First, you said she sings with pure, raw talent. I agree but I would like to add the word love somehow into that quote because her love is so pure we can feel it. Secondly, I listened to every word of the song. I mean, EVERY WORD. What a storyteller she is. She's captivating.

This is the most beautiful Christmas song I know, and the most beautiful performance of any Christmas song I know. Angelina is truly an angel in this one. One of my absolute favorites of hers. Tears falling down my chin through this song, for several reasons.

I am not a singer i just know what i like and there is not anyone in any genre that i like more than Angelina Jordan. No matter what she sings and no matter what octave she sings in her voice control is staggering. The best singer with the best voice. IMO

I would like to suggest another singer to react to and I'm not sure if you already have. Her name is Eva Cassidy. There's a very special story here in that Eva saying during the '80s and to the mid-90s. But in 1996 she passed away at the age of 33 from cancer tragically. As good as Angelina is today. Eva was in a League of her own as well. She's saying jazz, blues, classics, ballads, and with a crystal clear voice like you have never heard. Anyone who hears Eva Cassidy for the first time becomes a fan for life! Evil was somewhat unknown during the years before her death but posthumously became a legend and sold over 10 million records in the years after! Her rendition of somewhere over the rainbow is considered to be one of the best recordings ever of that song.
By all means Eva Cassidy is worth reacting to.
Agree totally, although my favorite song from Eva is "Autumn leaves"! I always hoped Angelina would sing songs Eva Cassidy covered and internalize her skills too. Recently she did with "Fields of Gold" in a TikTok. And indeed she sang it very close to the voice of Eva. Both girls are very captivating and can sing emotional. I hope Angelina will sing more of (and like) Eva Cassidy. They share the same melancholy, which is beautiful and soothing.

@@erikcouvret I agree with you. However, in my opinion, the very first lesson I recommend somewhere over the rainbow. It is such a classic and what Eva does with it puts the signature on her style which is applied to all the other songs you mentioned. And every one of them is a gem.

Hi Schnell. Once again, another lovely reaction. Not only do you wear your heart on your sleeve, you have technical knowledge of music and vocals as well. SCORE. Now, as to the song, I didn't want Angelina to stop singing either. I am jaded about Christmas music for some reason, and have been avoiding it like the plague, but I just couldn't resist. My jaw was on the floor, and my heart racing as I listened. This is one of the most beautiful vocals I have ever heard. Some of Angelina's upward runs just sound like cries, in my heart, and her tone in this piece is like warm blackstrap molasses. Thick and dark, sweet and flowing. I was really touched by it. Thank you so much for sharing this.

Just Angelina and a guitar. WOW! Some may say there are better technical versions of this wonderful song (not sure I agree), but no one injects the emotions into it like she does. And her raspy voice is her signature. Just STUNNING!!! And kudos to the Terrific guitarist! This is my favorite Xmas performance by Angelina.

Beautiful reaction, Schnell. Thank you for highlighting some of the musical ornamentation Angelina uses here (and in pretty much everything she sings). She may or may not know the technical terms for the ornaments she uses (there are dozens of them), but she has perfected them over the years by listening closely to the great singers and instrumentalists who came before her. Those little "tricks", as you often call them, are now ingrained as part of her musical style for her to use whenever she wants to in her songs. At 4:45 in your video, I liked how you explained the way Angelina sang the word "today". I am sure you, as a professional musician, know the technical term for that is a "mordent". Rather than singing "today" as just two notes (in this case D-C#), Angelina used the mordent to quickly take the primary note D up to E, back to D and then down to C#. Mordents can also go down from and back up to a primary note. She uses mordents a lot. Your viewers might enjoy trying to spot them when they listen to Angelina sing. You are just glowing as an expectant mother. This is a very exciting time for you, your husband and your family. Enjoy every second of it and take a lot of videos. Also, make sure you are putting headphones on your belly while playing Angelina's music. Who knows? You may have a musical prodigy on your hands. Have a wonderful holiday season!
I dearly love Angelina. I listen to her many times a day. She is so good that she distracts your attention from the guitar accompaniment, which just happens to be superb.
I have come to realize that Angelina will sometimes (as here) apply a different one of her many voices inside a song to a verse or a chorus, to a phrase, or even to a word that sets it apart from the rest. It is not that it is louder or pitched differently, it is just different, perfectly different. Here it happens the first time when she sings "Mary's Boy Child, Jesus Christ". Such detail..near perfection! Merry Christmas to Angelina, and to us every one!

Sometimes her tone reminds me of Elvis Presley. Even though it was obviously untrue, there was a rumor for a short time that she was Elvis' great-granddaughter. I can see why.
