The inspiration behind this video:
Prince Aemond Targaryen (Leo Ashton) claimed Vhagar in House of the Dragon episode 7, and so the oldest, largest, and most feared dragon in the Seven Kingdoms is now on the side of Queen Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke) and her family. Vhagar's former rider, Lady Laena Velaryon (Nanna Blondell), was buried at sea in House of the Dragon episode 7 after she committed suicide by ordering Vhagar to burn her with dragon fire in the previous episode. Vhagar is indeed a difference maker who will be utilized by Aemond to her fullest effect in House of the Dragon.
As House of the Dragon episode 7 showcased, Vhagar is truly a monster to behold. The she-dragon is gigantic and dwarfs all of the other dragons seen so far in House of the Dragon as well as Drogon, Daenerys Targaryen's (Emilia Clarke) largest dragon in Game of Thrones. Vhagar is roughly 180 years old, and she is the last of the original three dragons that Aegon the Conquerer and his sister-wives rode to unite the Seven Kingdoms under Targaryen rule. As Ser Otto Hightower (Rhys Ifans) noted to his daughter, Alicent, Aemond winning Vhagar to his side was not only worth the prince losing his left eye, but the massive fire-breathing beast is "worth a thousand times the price he paid." Along with Sunfyre, Prince Aegon's (Ty Tennant), dragon, and Dreamfyre, Princess Helaena's (Evie Allen) dragon, Vhagar bonding with Aemond gives Alicent's family a third and the most legendary living creature in Westeros.
House of the Dragon’s first season will have ten episodes, each of which will run for roughly one hour. Season 1's tentative schedule is as follows:

it is said in the books that riding vhagar changed him. It unleashed his inner beast. He matured quickly. So he looks more mature and grown up for his age.

Probably because Aemond lost an eye has a scar on his face wears an eye patch and probably got in fights more than the other two and practices more cause he's a blood thirsty type so he looks more rough.

Following G.O T.'s season track record, I'm eager to see episode 9 most. I know 8 will definitely be important to the whole framing of the war, but I expect things to get spunky in 9 tho.
Book spoilers:
Episode 9 is titled The Green Council, which if you've read the books you'll know is the assembled "Greens" deciding to keep the death of Viserys secret right up until they crown Aegon as king before Rhaenyra can even go back to Kings Landing. So definitely spunky!
Especially knowing the titles of the the last 2 episodes of this season "green council " and "The black Queen"🤔

Aemond will be the most OVERRATED character in this series for non-book readers who supports the Greens and the most disappointing "badass" since Kylo Ren lost to Rey in a lightsaber duel in The Force Awakens. 🤣
I remember being such a stan for Kylo Ren long before The Force Awakens came out. When he lost to Rey who never used a lightsaber, I remember making all excuses for him. I fell for how he looked cool and a badass and realized he was a Vader fanboy and Sith wannabe as JJ Abrams said.
I love Adam Driver as an actor but I got off that Kylo Ren fandom real fast once I saw The Last Jedi. Kylo Ren was one of the most disappointing characters I've ever seen. Deleted all his photos I used for profile pics. I'm still mad he killed Han but it's really Harrison Ford who killed Han.
I'm not saying Aemond will end up the same as Kylo. I said it weeks ago that the one Alicent child who I was looking forward to the most was Aemond. I'm aware he's the most badass among the Greens. I've even said Aemond can end up being my 2nd favorite character of this series and lore.
I just don't think Aemond is that much of a badass just because he has an eye patch although he has a sapphire eye in the book. Compare Aemond to Daemon, and it's a laughable comparison. Daemon fought in a war and won it. Aemond never did. Daemon was knighted at 16. Aemond never was.
People should listen to GrayArea (MJ) explaining Daemon. It was uploaded back in 2020. A lot of what the show has shown about Daemon has been mostly book accurate. She's biased towards the Blacks and Daemon as one of her favorites but it's a great background explanation about him.
Daemon is a combination of Jaime and Tyrion if they were one person. Comparing Aemond to Daemon is really like comparing Kylo Ren to Darth Vader. One is a badass. The other is bigger badass and a real legend among the many great characters in Westeros history. Team Daemon forever...

Aemond was pretty much king when Aegon got injured and thanks to Aemond the greens lasted so long despite only having like 3 dragons vs 10+ dragons the blacks had.

Sooo Aegon somehow got shorter, chubby faced (not chubby-just the face), & picked up Ben Button disease? I think this series is blah. Absolutely no character dev. We didn’t even get to see the buildup with Strong. The kids are aging too fast so we can’t even care about them enough. The dragon bonds are BS bc again, we don’t get to witness the bonding. If it weren’t for the amazing acting (except the Valyrian cast- & has nothing to do with race bc Half my family is from an African country & I’m mixed) - then this show would be as bad as LOTR. There’s too much forced info & the changes they made from the book, while understandable for the show- didn’t connect with us bc they did no character dev- like how Alicent is 10 yrs older, deeply religious/family duty -which wld explain why 8yo Rhany didn’t want to study. But we look at it as Alicent F’d her BFFs dad- immediately forcing us to hate her. Even though the King is neural they cldve made him seem harsher. The whole woke thing bothers me too. Now that they didn’t kill him off, it leaves everything up in the air.
the show is condensing like 30 years of material into a single season to set up the actual story (the war in the next season). things gotta move quick and if you read the books youd know why they are speeding past the kids
The main plot hasn’t even started. This is all just a build up to the main story. The Dance of Dragons is literally 200 pages and 1 book. Calm down.
