This whole story just gives me goosebumps. You have the most prolific and dangerous BJJ/Submission expert in UFC and maybe... MMA history going to war with what many believed was just some lumbering, one dimensional wrestling savage from the mountains of nowheresville, Russia. Then this savage turns out be not just an absolute wrestling freight-train, he also knows all the gaddamn BJJ protocols and how to defend every attack that Charles threw at him. To blow people's minds even further this no-blackbelt having wrestler submits Charles from fucking halfguard. And it's not like Charles wasn't trying... it's just that Islam's grappling skills didn't give a fuck about correct BJJ positioning and whatnot, he just used sheer force to break him.

@@yukimurasanada5945 Good point. I actually think the islam's stand-up game was too superior for charles and because of that charles became too tired. Also one of the key points why he eventually, easily got submitted by a basic choke movement sinds charles had no energy left for the defense.

Deep down I knew Islam would win, I didn’t think it would be easier quick or anything but when Charles said he was gonna knock him out in the first round I had this weird feeling that even he didn’t believe that(he as in Charles) and then to submit the man with the most submissions in UFC history amazing goes to show you when people said he hadn’t bought any wine or this and that I actually think Bobby green versus Charles would be a good fight although Islam dominated Bobby just an example)..
