Amazing fight, and incredible use of Guard Parry! It's hard to use well, but it can very good. It's also good to see someone else use the Seven Coiled Greatsword, it's shadowed by the Holy Ark even though it's a fun weapon.
This is exactly how I play every boss in every area of this game. Perfect Guard in this game is amazing specially with a fast weapon and Fuoco's Amulet, every time you do it you get to boost your next attack. And if you perfect guard first and use that exact sword, the L1+Triangle or Y fable art can deal over 2k damage.
yup and people are wanting the parry window to be lengthened. I disagree. It will break the games difficulty in half if they do. I actually think the game is balanced very well overall. I use a nice mux of parrying and dodging and some blocking and its a ton of fun. Maybe nerf the aegis shield and the throwables a bit but thats it.
@@Terron29 doesnt need to be increased a lot but i definitely think it does need to be increased. Or just introduce a perfect parry / and a parry, or make other options more viable for late game bosses. The problem with parry right now isnt that it isnt balanced for risk reward - it is, its that the boss enemy health regen especially late game makes the other options way less viable to the point where boss fights are 3x as long if you try to dodge your way to victory which is much harder than grinding parry timings. Some bosses like that stupid armored titan require guard parry. All these videos make guard parry seem so cool but the truth is if you want to beat the game, learning this level of guard parry isnt optional. If your going to make a punishing mechanic with a tiny success window then it shouldnt be required, lower enemy health regen to the point where dodge rolling or blocking normal is more viable. Making other options viable wouldnt make learning perfect parries less viable or easier. The game wants to be sekiro more than it wants to be blood borne or dark souls. You cant fight your health back from blocks because bosses wont let you so blocking is rough, you cant dodge roll your way to victory because without guard break enemies health regen making fights a slog.
@@goomyman23 I honestly don't think you need to rely on parry as much as your suggesting but we all play differently I guess. A perfect guard is just a parry, blocking at the right time to deflect the attack and take no damage while also dealing a small amount of stagger build up. Guard Parry is an ability where you hold block but tap y to active it when you should parry so it will parry and IMMEDATELY follow up with a very powerful attack.
In this game if you block an attack you don’t fully lose health. If you block you take temporary damage where you can earn that health back by landing attacks or parrying but if you get hit properly you’ll lose that chance.

Just destroyed laxasia on my 7th - 8th try with spectre + 2 friendship wishstones 😂 acid abrasive works good on her in the 1st half and perfection grindstone for the lightnings in 2nd half. Fun fact acid abrasive also imbues specters weapon with acid so worth it to buy 4-5 of them for the fight
Guard parry felt so unreliable - like id nail it and it wouldnt work. Its not the timing, the dual parry swords parry is amazing! but thats because it works.
As someone who doesn’t even like to block in general I can say that this is underrated 😂
I don't think it is underrated. I think people agreed that it is so good.
People don't know what the word underrated means.
They think it means "amazing"
They might've meant underutilized... not widely known/used
It’s very good but high risk.
True. The number of times I've seen people use underrated and literally in a wrong way is too damn high @@StrifeZack343

Aegis + Perfection Grindstone + Increase Grindstone Use P-Organ are your friends if you find parrying difficult. I cheesed Nameless Puppet with those.
how is he getting 1500 dmg on a single hit ?

Guard Parry!
Some handles come with a perk called 'Guard parry' where if you use that perk at the time where you would parry you will follow up with a VERY strong attack.
What outfit are you wearing in this? It looks really cool.
It's called Alchemist's cape!
I use this for only Laxasia’s P2 transition attack cause the timing is so weird. But it is definitly the best grindstone in the game
Oh wait I thought you meant the grindstone that makes all guarding deflect instead and not the fable art
Next video "Dodging is underrated in Dark Souls 3"
Haven’t been able to land a guard parry the entire game fuck that ability
It has the same timing as a normal perfect parry, just hold block then tap y when you would normally parry :)
Seven coil sword > holy sword of the ark confirmed??
Absolutely godly weapon my friend
so u use LB to get a perfect parry then tap Y to execute giga riposte? is that how it works?
