- Updated and locked in for the rest of the Set 1 meta, this is the deck I took to two Second Place finishes in store showdowns, Luke Cunning. In my opinion, it has no bad matchups and is a tier 1 deck. Enjoy and subscribe for way more SWU content as we move into Set 2!

Agreed. I had taken my Green Luke to 3rd place at a store showdown. Then didn't win a single match at another store showdown, or at the Vegas 1K this past Friday. There are better options than Green Luke, namely Han Green, which has the same gamplan (stall to resource turn 7, drop bombs like U Wing, Home One, etc), but does it better. I'm going to have to take this Luke build for a spin.
I've been saying this for a long time, Han green is a better Luke green. Once you face a few Sabine players that known to claim into either ECL killing dispatcher or Sabine unit / pathfinder kill on dispatcher, its incredibly slow. Luke green looks to be getting a few tools next set so we may dabble then, but Yellow Luke is king in set 1, hope you enjoy it !!

Been playing a budget version of this archetype,. and can confirm it feels super smooth into a lot of the decks in the meta. Great explanation tho, i will upgrade my list according to this video :D

Hey man, I’m newer to TCG stuff love Luke im building this deck currently. My question is pre game how do you know you are facing a control deck or a aggro deck or a mill deck. Are the colors giving you hints?
Yea, colors and what leader they chose. But since you don't sideboard until game 2, you'll be able to get a feel for how they're built in game 1, since even the same leader+color combo can be built in different ways. Have to adjust on the fly !
Do you think swapping bodhi for force throw would be better? I feel like paying 3 for a similar effect and dealing damage is better
It’s not a bad call but I’d prefer the unit and choosing the card over them choosing . Bodhi is there to kill super laser and I doubt they’d willingly discard it
I have been playing force throw for 3 in my build.
I like that a lot. Maybe in the sideboard vs control and Han. You very much enjoy them having a small hand.

Replace cunning and vigilance with 1 Vanquish, 2 The Force is with me, and the 3rd Chewie and go for it ! You'll be a bit weaker but you'll still punch people. Have fun !
So not sure how you stay alive against decks with 12 space units. Seems to be a huge weakness of this deck.
Falcon can win the space arena alone until about turn 4-5. You have tricks in waylay and cunning, and general healing. I've never felt weak in space even against Sabine, you just need to find the falcon, or waylay if you don't
Mill is a trademark MtG term. Star Wars cards say “discard from top of deck” kept getting distracted every time you said mill i keep thinking of my magic the gathering mill decks
