    After your reply to my comment I also decided to give different picks a try, I bought the 1.5 gator, a 3 mm coconut, a Dunlop 1,5 triangle shape ecc…I’m still struggling! :D ….I’ll let you know what I think it is better in my opinion and why. Thank you ! ….this channel is very useful.

      Nice! New picks can take a while to get used to. Christiaan van Hemert just did a commentary on my latest progress report (where I talk about switching from the Gator Grip 2.0 to the 1.5) and convinced me to try the Delrin 1.5. Looks like I'll be changing picks again myself.

    Alright dude, I had seen your videos recommended for a while, and only take the time now to check them. I don't know your story yet, but I feel like we are on the same journey, I've started my way in gypsy jazz since last september, with a less consistent training I fear, but I found a teacher since February. I will definitely check your videos, methods and thoughts, I'm very interested in seeing your progress.

      Thanks for checking out the channel! I'll keep these progress reports going each month so check back. And good luck on your practice. I'm sure having a teacher is making a huge difference.

    7:28 Hey dude, please get into it for us sufferers, who still seek whatever could help their hands to recover 😅

      I'm actually not sure what it's called in English. It's called chuna (추나) in Korean, at least that's what on their sign. I tried to find a video to show you but I keep getting standard chiropractor stuff, so maybe the place I went has their own version. There's no bone cracking or head twisting, though. Instead they press into different muscles and nerves with their elbows/pointy tools and just chill for a minute. I guess they see the root of a lot of problems as coming down to tightness. I had zero expectations that it would work but I went on a friend's recommendation and in the second session they targeted a spot in the side of my neck and another in my armpit and my finger numbness completely went away for a bit. (Now it's about 5% of what it was pre-treament.) And like I mentioned in the video, my back and shoulder pain are 100% gone. Btw it's unbelievably painful. I've heard plenty of people literally crying during it. If you want to take a trip to Seoul I can show you the place lol

      @@justadudepracticing aah, I see ok, it's an advantage for you to be in Korea, these east alternative medicines are pretty effective, from what I've heard. I've seen some video where some chiropractor pushed his finger against guy's armpit solving shoulder pain or something but it looked pretty painful lol

      @@MegaGameHunter Yeah, that's pretty much what I experienced. I still can't believe it worked as well as it did. If I ever find a video or a name for it (because I don't think "chuna" is it), I'll let you know.

    You know, I really _want_ to watch this whole video, but I just don't have time to hang in there, I should be practicing. :-( Great your hand is feeling better.
    I hear you about the material overwhelm, it's nuts. Aimee Nolte has a great vid about using a "tune a week", maybe that can give you some structure around which to build your work. Cheers!

      No hard feelings. You SHOULD be practicing instead. That's a great idea, having a tune of the week. I might need to make it a tune every two weeks for a while, though. Someone in the discord recommended making my own backing tracks for rhythm practice so that could be a good combination.

    I've arrived here today all of sudden. so i don't got all your progress, method etc.
    This channel is perfect, for me, i'm a guitar player for 10 years now, and i would like to start in a gypsy style.
    Can you share the names of the books you worked in those months of pratice?

      Thanks for checking out the channel! Since January i've been working almost exclusively on Christiaan van Hemert's Van Hemert System books (1, 2, and recently 3). If you go to his channel description, you'll find links to his books.

    1.5 still seems pretty thick but what do I know! I use the dunlop purples I think around 1 mm

    • @justadudepracticing
      @justadudepracticing  Před 3 měsíci

      I used to use a 3.5 wegen like a lot of folks so for me the 1.5 is almost flimsy lol 1mm is definitely thin for gypsy.
