I've seen quite a few of Joanne's videos on here. I've seen a few different vids of this one, but too me this one is by far the best one. For one the video and sound quality are top notch. Her band is real tight. Her voice never sounded better. Her guitar playing speaks for itself. l love the tone of her guitar as well. If I wanted to turn someone on to her this would be the video I would share.

Wow, Songs from the road is my favourite album and Diamonds in the Rough is my favourite cut on it, Nothing showcases live and raw better then Joanne Shaw Taylor. Great sound and the drummer just pounds those skins making sure his rock solid beat is heard with Joanne's playing. I much prefer her earlier bass player who kept on point all the while watching Joanne's burning down the house style solos in complete awe of her skills and never missed a note. Joanne has such a unique style from her great rhythms mixed with lead and the lead into some of her out of this world solos. That smoky voice always matching her style of playing. Watching Joanne on stage is like watching great poetry in harmony. There is no one out there rocking the shit out of the blues like Joanne does it. A truly unique and highly skilled singer, songwriter and guitarist who is evolving into the queen of the blues. Expect even greater things to come from this young prodigy. Joanne Shaw Taylor is a true Diamond in the Rough who will only shine brighter as she continues to polish up one of the most unique talents of our time. Joanne will continue to wow us and the world for a long time to come.

I don't know about 'better' but Samantha Fish, Sadie Johnson and Ana Popovic and for classical Ana Vidovic to name but a few that I think are on a similar level to JST.
It was Orianthi that got me started down that road but I feel she has lost her way now, then found Samantha Fish that led to Joanne.
All brilliant in their own chosen way.
