i keep watching this and everytime i learn more
so comprehensive like always!
Thank you for these tips, I used soy wax with silicone body molds
Beautiful !!! Thanks for sharing !
Thanks for your tips, many things I learn from this clip.
I recommend using a thick needle to thread the wick. Even the platic ones for lil like canvas knit work perfect! That's what I use.
Very helpful, thank you!
So good 😊 Thank you!
Brilliant tutorial👍
It will be interesting to see how you demold the 3D pear candle. Its really hard to do it without any damages with this mold
Great tutorial

HI Sheri, Very pretty candles thanks for sharing Lin ❤️
Thank you for watching
Really cool thanks
Hi! Great video, thank you for sharing. Is it absolutely necessary to double-boil soy wax? I've been using a hot plate to melt it and it works but what is the difference between double-boil and melting it on a hot plate?
Hi, thanks for the video. Do we need to grease a mold before pouring wax? Which oil is the best option?
Thank you for sharing
I liked this
nice, i have just regular soy wax, but also the silicone forms. I will try to test is it really bad hah. great video
i love it
Thanks for sharing, i got really useful tips. What type of wax did you use?
Thank you for the detailed information on your video. I do have a question about wicks. I am new to candle making and starting with pillar candles. I am using American Soy Wax for pillar candles and I am stuck in regards to the wicks that I should use to test my candles. Do the wicks have to be specific to the branding of the wax or I can get the 100% cotton rolled up wick from any candle company? I understand the wick will vary depending on the mould but do you have a recommendation of which wicks to start with ? Thanks
Thank you so much. I was wondering how I'd get the wick through t the bottom
Do you use just reel of cotton wax? I'm starting to try moulds currently use CDN wicks in my jar candles
HI - just starting with candle makig. Have made container wax and now want to try pillar wax. Firstly I need to know where you get the variety of silicon moulds you show. Thanks
How would you choose wick? Would you go for the biggest diameter of mould?
What are the little round silver pieces for at the bottom of the wick and are they required?
Hello what is the wicks called? I have pillar candles and someone ask me to fix it but I don’t the wicks for the pillar candles. Will eco wicks or cotton wicks works for pillar candles?
Hello. how do you determine the wick size for different kinds of mold?
Your candles are beautiful! What do you burn them on for safety?
Hi! how many hours does the palm leaf candle last? what wick do you use please? thanks and congratulations
Good
Hi Sheri what did you put on the top of the whole. Is plasticine, playdo? Thank you.
Love this I thought container wax is too soft
Any tip for frosting ?
Hi Sheri!! I would like to make a candle in a silicone mold. How can i measure how much candle to melt?? Thank you very much!!
Thank You. Sis❤❤🎉😂
Apply lotion on the body of the mold and remove with ease you’re welcome 😊
I'm new to using silicone molds....do you think coconut oil would work too?
Hi! Exactly what kind of lotion are you using? I used silicone spray but it ruined my candles, they looked like they had lizard skin
Do u apply it before putting the wax or after when its dry?
@@hani8866 I have this doubt too!
I use Pam cooking spray and it works great
With the ombre candle, how do you get the different layers to stick together? Our candles are breaking where they should be joined? Thank you
Hi Sheri can I use paraffin wax for pillar candles (silicon moulds) I can't get soywax for pillar wax...only soft wax for container is available where I live.
Thanks.
Hm I can see ‘frosting’ on the candles, I have the same issues even though I’ve tried different melting and room temperature. Can we somehow get rid of the frosting at the first point ?
This is great! Can you please make a video of how to make candle refills?
For container candles?
@@sherivegasartist yes
Thank for the video. I start to 11:32 make a Pilar candle. Everything ok until this morning. Yesterday I make one big candle and this morning I saw i big crack in the candle. My house was so cold yesterday. Any advice? Thank you so much ❤
I need to know which wicks are the best for pillar candles
What is the burn time for the body shape candles?
Hi Sheri where can I buy good quality colours and scents for candle making? Nat
Which soy wax is best for pillar moulds please 😊
How do you make the bottom flat? What do you use to cut it?
Would i need pillar wax with a little flower candle mold?
What kind of wicks do you use? My ct and ht is nonexistent and I’m not sure why.
Love the video, good tips. What temp should wax be when pouring into silicone candle molds?
Silicone can withstand high temperatures, they used even in baking so heat your wax as per your instructions
For soy wax I pour at 135°F
Great video!! Well, refilling candles again and then again setting the right temperature to fill up the holes is very hectic. Do you have any alternative for this?
If the proper procedure is too much trouble , perhaps candle making isn't the best hobby for you...
this was so helpful, thank you💖. are the dyes cosmetic based? could you tell description please, thank you.
Thank you very much for the detailed video. I'm just getting started with handmade candles. Can I mix wax for molds with any other natural wax? in what ratio?
Bende başlayacağım stearin ile karıstıra bilirsin soy wax stearin karışımı mükemmel çıkar kalıptan
hey sheri! would you advise on what type of wicks to use for pillar candles?
If your pillars moulds are very large then you will need to go for cord wick and cut it to the right length.
What do you get the mould from
Great video :)
Do you also can advise what to do when candles collapse? For instance I did a paraffin one on the glass. Was smooth and nice I topped a few things on top as well. After 1h it was not smooth enymore. It had like hills. Was kind of collapsing
I think maybe you need to let it set for longer, but I’m not totally
Sure.
What fragrance brand are you using please
i took mine out like after an hour lol, it got a tiny bit smooshed at some part but overall it was great for my first time
Ativa a tradução na legenda 😊 ficaria mais facil pra acompanhar ❤
Is the soy pillar wax skin safe? I know that pure soy wax is skin safe, but I am curious to know if the soy pillar wax is also skin safe as it's a wax blend.
Hi what name was the pre tabbed wick ??
Do you have any advice on how to ship pillar candles without them breaking? Especially if they are body shaped and have frail little limbs haha
Hi thank you for your candle making tips!where do you buy your cord wicks from? I’m also from Australia

Thank you for video! ☺ maybe you know where to get nice brown beige shades dye for humans body's? Thank you in advance. 🙏🏻
For wax what are you using a wax for making candle ?
Hi Sheri! I currently use kerosoy 4120 and find my pillar candles can be a bit soft and does soften up a bit in the sun. Do you find the pillar blend quite firm when the candles are ready to be demoulded? Thank you!
Yes I do find it to be firm then container soy wax. You can also add a bit of white bees wax into soy if you need it to be firmer still.
Would beeswax be ok to add to soy 464 please, for pillar moulds
Hii, do you get frosting on your pillar candles with kerosoy 4120?
anyone who knows a good online candle making classes to join?

I’m have trouble finding information on skin safe dyes I’m making wax play candles for my store I’ll be using silicone molds and jars I’ve read that soy wax is best I’ll also be making massage oil candles and lotion candles so any and all information would help me thank you
Where can I have molds made for candles as seen here? your work is incredible. Thank you
Are you wanting to buy the candles made with the molds or did you want to buy just the molds? I can sell you either the already made candles or the molds if you would like.
do you need oil-based dye or water-based
Hello Sheri !
I've been watching all your videos, i love your creativity!
How do you not get a frosting on your candle? I always get it with my soy wax...
Thank you for caring
Probably using too much coloring? It happened to me when i was adding too much color to my wax. Hope this helps
I didn’t use color and still got frosting :(
Sheri Does it make any difference if you use waxed or unwaxed wick please for the pillar candles
It’s mostly about using the right size wick for the pillar candle you are making.
Hi, could someone tell me how to avoid frosting on your pillar candles? It really gives a rough finish to the final product and I can't sell them like that. What am I doing wrong?
Whr to buy silicone moulds..,?
Sherri, I have noticed on a couple of pours, my candles seemed a bit frosty. What causes this?
Frosting is cause by the different temperatures in the wax when setting. I pour at a lower temperature to help prevent this
@@nicholeschy162 Oh thank you that’s good to know I’ll try that and see if it works for me
Does soy pillar wax still frost in general?
Where can someone get some of the design models that you use.
Hello... Why does the candle that comes out of the mold has some white marks?? The color on the candle isn't undivided...
Hi which wax can I use for small flower/ fruits like berries small mold ? I have soy wax nature C3. Should I go for pillar wax or paraffin wax ? I have never use that so wanted to know which one will be good
Pillar or paraffin wax are great to make imbeds as they are stronger waxes
Okay I can find both of this wax, it’s to blend the wax right? I have the list of ingredients and it’s say to get the soy wax nature c 3, palm wax, paraffin, SHP gel wax, beeswax, pillar blend wax. Like all of them I had to get it. But what if I don’t have palm wax and shp gel, what will that do can you help ? Also stearic acid any idea what is this?
How do you cover the hole you make ?
How can I start this business tell me in detail
I’ve been having a problem with my candles. They seem to crack while drying in the molds. What am I doing wrong???😢
What wax are you using?
I kept thinking about virgina's all the way through for some reason.. before and after children etc.
What is the type of wax or its name please 🌹
What can i put under the candles?🤔🤔
Hi where do you buy soy wax?
When I make my soy candles using the silicone; they are very oily and break before I take them out, because they are so soft. How do I fix this?
leave them for at least 24 hours, also putting them in the fridge for a few hours may help
Hello
How do we avoid the white marks on the candle after removed from the mold?
Do you mean frosting or something else
@@sherivegasartist just the white marks or lines the appear sometimes on the candles
Hi dear how to avoid candle frosting. In every color candle i face frosting issue . There is white part on candle how to avoid
pour at lower temperature
How do I stop my dyed soy candles from frosting so bad !
Do you have any suggestion on deep dark black color ? Because my candle always turn out gray color looking . And I can’t put too much in it. Thank you
try liquid dye
How do you store them?
I just did learn from listening to you that I need to get Piller Soy Wax - makes it easier to demold and it dries harder than the container soy wax. The Soy wax I purchased said it was for both - though I did feel that it is pretty soft and very greasy or wet feeling. How do you stop that? That's what happened to my first one. It sweated in the bubble wrap I had put it in. So I left it out. Your thoughts?
how can i make a candle from scratch that drips like old candles used to? everything they sell now is dripless. apparently they dont sell candles that drip anymore.
is there a specific wax that needs to be used? can i make a candle that drips using soy wax?
i hope someone replies 🤞🏿🤞🏿🤞🏿 thank you!
