If you have a cockatiel, parrot, budgie and you want your bird to whistle and sing, you can make the videos listen for 1 hour a day. Omg sorry for not replying all this time. Sadly he didn't learn this one. So far he learned "if your happy and you know it clap your hands" and also he learned how to say "what you doing" and afterwards he learned how to say his name. Just because I repeate "Jackie what you doin" all the time. It's the cutest thing ever. And just reacently he learned how to say love you. I constantly talk to him.

It has been seven hours, all they are doing is making click noises with their beaks, it is adorable but it is still the first day, my two male budgies are ones who scream a lot and this quieted them down, if I do this for a while it will work
My year old male pied cockatiel loves to whistle this song, although he badly butchers it up. When he looks in a mirror, he starts whistling it to impress “the other bird” in the mirror.

My tiel Captain Black, sings the usual 'If your happy and you know it' so I am playing this and already he is picking it up, he is blending both songs at times which is funny, then he chuckles.
Hopefully when he is singing The Legend Adams Family, he can move on to September :)

Keep playing it for your bird. They will get it eventually and if they don't come around to it, try another song. Usually only male tiels talk and/or sing.

I got my cockatiel around a week ago and have played this video to him for a total of around 4 hours, he is getting the beginning part down, and trying his best to learn the rest… he gets frustrated and screeches occasionally if he can’t do it😂 Thankyou for this video

You are also very sweet. Birds' learning time varies, but they can memorize in 2-3 weeks on average. He may not be able to memorize an entire song. Because their memory is small.

My budgie is female and can whistle this but has taken a long time and only does it every other day on her terms not on command
I’ve got a question for people in the comments could budgies learn to make the sounds too. I’m sure they could, but I just like to make sure I have two kiwi and bluebell they’re both quite talkative. I mean as in they chirp a lot so I’d like to try to get them the mimic something other than just chirping you know I think it would be more fun for me and them to learn something new :)

It doesn't hurt to start listening early. The sooner he starts listening, the better. The time to fully learn is usually 1 month.

Don't worry, if it's a boy, he'll find out. Just be patient.
They have to be around 8 months I’ve read but it wouldn’t hurt to start playing it now for him
