- In this episode I list the top 5 Transformers I'd love to see from Hasbro. With the end of Legacy and a new toy line coming in 2025, these are my most wanted!
We need deluxes of seaspray, Tailgate and Outback as well
How could I have forgot Outback! I am ashamed of myself! Should be a re-tool of SS86 Brawn, eh?
Hasbro doesn't care to finish the G1 teams as they stated. The younger crowd cried too much that everything was G1... now we'll die before we can complete our collections. They should have finished the G1 shows then moved on to the younger folks who are now coming into money and nostalgia...
There's always time! I never thought we'd see Tarn or Jhiaxus in the mainline.
Plus we never actually finish our collections, eh? That's just something we tell our partners, so they don't get all angry when you buy yet another obscure Transformer. "Just completing the collection, dear! Only a few more to go!".
Ditto Thunderwing; also ditto the existential crisis over collecting.
I re-read the comic recently and Thunderwing is so awesome! We need an update.
Defo feeling the existential crisis even more that this is the 40th year of the franchise. 😂

Darkwing & Dreadwind would be at the top of my list. They're two I actually had as a kid.
I really want to pick up the g1 versions... Managed to get a near complete Doubledealer recently, so would love to complete the powermaster team!

I'd love to see more of the obscure (original comics) bots like the Decepticon Triumverate; Siezer, Legonis & Octus.

Deathcobra from the Japanese Transformers show, Victory.
Grandus a character that appeared in the failed Japanese pilot, Transformers Zone. Who had a toy that could combine with Metroplex.
The actionmaster autobot, 'Kickoff'.

I'm with you on Powerglide. Been wanting Hasbro to release a good figure of him for years now. If Gears gets a new figure, c'mon Hasbro!?! I actually like that Thunderwing figure. I played around with mine often. The robot and jet both looked menacingly cool, and the transformation is super simple.
I love the Thunderwing too! He's just a bit small when he's on display next to your other super villains. Would be nice to see him getting some love with a new toy that reflects his imposing stature! Got my fingers crossed as we are getting comic decos Grimlock and Shockwave.
I loved Nightbeat in his detective noir style stories! =D
If he gets a new figure, how awesome would it be if he came with a hat and jacket!

Definitely needs a deluxe upgrade. The Combiner Wars figure is still the most accurate depiction of him we have, but it's sooooo thin and flimsy, and pieces keep falling off.
Tell me about it! I got my one from a fella off a Facebook group and his tail fin fell off in transit. Still gutted about it!

Some really good picks. The Dreadwind/Darkwing was confusing as I only remember the G2 iteration which also got a pretty elaborate toy though I only ever had the Universe which was Dreadwind and Smokejumper for whatever reason. Still a very cool figure with multiple transformations, an insane amount of firing missiles, and a two bots in one gimmick. Would love to see a Leader Class update. While I have the Thrilling 30s Powerglide an update would also be appreciated. Really excited to see some G1 Combiners coming up but my personal pick is Predaking. Hasbro please make this happen.
Predaking would be awesome! There's such a cool story in the g1 comic about Divebomb stealing his name from Swoop.

In the G2 comics, G2 Dreadwing was G1 Darkwing rebuilt.
In the Japanese Manga, his partner Smokescreen was the G1 Autobot having defected.
I was wanting a Dread Wing. Then you mentioned Dark Wing connectivity. Which sold me on getting both. Plus I'm a fan of the "Masters" series. Whether it be Head or Power.
Don't forget Target Masters! Even though they are the laziest gimmick of the three. Don't think it'd be a pleasant experience for a Nebulon to be contorted into the shape of a gun.
I agree that a Voyager release of Darkwing and Dreadwind would be great. I'm lucky enough to have Botcon Dreadwind which is a fantastic figure.
I'd be happy if the Thunderwing Titanmaster wasn't so expensive because then I could attach it to Nitro Zeus and apply the Toyhax set made specifically for that purpose.

Dreadwind is great. I waited 12 years for him to come down to a price I was willing to pay. Well worth the wait though.
I would like to see a decent Nightbeat, was my fave character in the comics, have Matrix Quest in singles, one of my fave rereads

The letter's page where I had one, possibly two, letters published..? (They sent me two Protectobot Grooves, so I probably had one published after I stopped reading.)
I barely recall it
But only because I had a letter published in Soundwaves.
That is so cool! I'm super jealous! I wasn't kidding, I wrote in dozens of times. Think the combination of inane questions and illegible handwriting precluded any of my letters being featured. Still a bit gutted to be honest.
Thunderwing would be amazeballs. Dreadtidings was amazing. I loved the fact that Hi Test was there heckling his boss all the time.
I must have wrote in a dozen times when I was a wee guy! Still a bit gutted my letters were never in the comic. I was about 6, though, so my questions probably were like, "Could Optimus Prime beat Frank Bruno at boxing?". No wonder they never got answered!

Dread tidings was a poor man's "Sound Waves". Hell, even "Grim Grams" was more entertaining.
I do agree though, a Dreadwing set is absolutely needed.
Yeah... I do have to admit Grim Grams was my favourite! Anything Grimlock is involved in is instantly gold!

Ooh! Nice pick! I'd never heard of Turbomaster Hyperdrive! A modern Thunder Clash would be amazing. Would snaffle that right up!
I believe Xaaron's design was based on G1 Megatron. Maybe they could retool Hardhead or Perceptor.
My issue with Titanmaster Nightbeat was the grimace. His shade of blue actually matches that of Titans Return Blurr. I'd be happy enough with that combo if not for the grimace.
SS War for Cybertron Megatron could work repainted as Flame.
That's a great idea for Flame! I'd absolutely love to see that!
The only problem with Titans Return Blurr is that he's all blue. Think you really need that bright yellow for Nightbeat. Would make a good base for a custom.
I'd take any Xaaron! Think Perceptor is a really good shout for a retool!
There are many figures I'd love to get, but the one figure that would make me really happy is a new Deluxe class Windcharger.
You gotta think he'll be coming soon, eh? Hopefully he'll be on the first wave of the new Prime line. Got my fingers crossed!

Me too. Still gutted my letters never got answered in the comic. Given my young age and atrocious penmanship, I don't blame them though!
You could probably make a decent Emirate Xaaron by repainting a High Grade Gundam Ez-8 or Ez-SR (they're the same core kit but the Ez-SR has some extra customization parts.) You'd have to 3D print the head, though, since there aren't many Gundam kits (or Gundam-compatible kits like the 30 Minutes Missions line) with faces.
Dreadwind and Blackwing are just the best decepti-dude goon types, like alternate universe seekers. Brilliant. Wish i wasnt 11 during PotP & was into transformers collecting since those fuckers cost just a bit too much for deluxes.
I managed to get mine off Ebay for 15 bucks each! Didn't start collecting till the first wave of Legacy! I've just made many irresponsible financial decisions.... hahaha!

What about: Outback, Swerve, and Tailgate? Sure, Tailgate is a repaint of Windcharger, so probably good there if Windcharger gets one, and we should get a Swerve soon (we hope).
But Brawn was released in 2023 and still not Outback, so it's not guaranteed.
- not even going to go into the Cosmos fiasco. But still hoping Hasbro issues a re-release.
And there there are others like Smallfoot, Badboy, Pathfinder, Treds, Rest-Q, Rook, Tapout, and Glyph.
We did get a Bug Bite and Road Ranger - so I see no reason why we can't get the others.
Can't believe I forgot Outback.... pretty gutted at myself. He was in such a good story in the comics (UK issue 100).

Commander Class Lugnut needs to happen. The RTS figure is underwhelming, and the rest (including the deluxe) are dogshit. Such a glorious character deserves a GLORIOUS figure. Otherwise, I would really like to see a new Abominus, since the Combiner Wars/POTP one sucked, both the regular release and the Selects version. Some other figures I would like to see happen are a good Tailgate figure, and FOC Insecticons (Sharpshot, Harshell and Kickback) and FOC Combaticons (Swindle, Brawn, Vortex, Blast Off, and Onslaught) that can combine into Bruticus.
That's a great list right there! I bloody love the Terrorcons, so Abominus is right up there for me too!
Just a friendly reminder that these "most wanted bots" have aleady been made by magnificent companies such as Fanstoys and X-Transbots etc. Hasbro is a hasbeen. If only people would stop shoveling money to this lazy ass company already...
Uff, I know Hasbro is a greedy corporate entity, but it's only the official CHUG figures that really grab me. The third party companies don't generally do Chug scale, as well.
Plus, there isn't a decent third party Thunderwing, Nightbeat or Xaaron that I could find. If there's good ones out there, please send me a link!

All I'm saying is if Legacy BeachComber can come with a Paradise parakeet , then A deluxe PowerGlide should be able to come with a little Astoria.
They seem to be working their way through all the minibots , so I also can't wait for a deluxe Wind Charger at some point.
