Alex Pereira hitting pads from 2020 to 2022. A former kickboxing champion, Pereira combines an efficient defence with powerful punches. Although most known for his left hook, Pereira also works behind a strong left jab, switching easily from head to body. Having entered the UFC in 2021, Pereira's most recent fight saw him be the first Middleweight to knock out Sean Strickland, having established the body jab before connecting with a left hook. Since 2020, Pereira has trained at Teixeira MMA, working with former boxer Fernely Feliz, as well as striking coach Lee Alves. Pereira, the former UFC Middleweight champion, is scheduled to fight Jiří Procházka at UFC 295 for the Light Heavyweight championship.
